I have found she takes instruction better than the older woman; though she's a decent technician as well. They both love to make small talk during the process. I don't mind, but some might find it annoying. Prices used to be $12, but they've been lowered to $10, which is more appropriate IMO. 1) It's in a kiosk in Greenbelt/Beltway Plaza. Nothing sold in the entire mall should be over $20. 2) they use cheap thread I'm convinced is from the JoAnn Fabrics down the hall. Lol. She also worked with another manager at the store and was able to set up my next appointment with a specific tech - I believe it was Emily. Tiffany was very communicative via both text and DM on there Instagram account, which I used to schedule my next appointment. She was also there when I arrived for that appointment to ensure things went smoothly. Emily was very attentive during my service, and ultimately I was happy with this set. I did SNS and Emily finished with a gel top coat. Since I prefer to not have gel that is cured by UV, I may not return regularly. However, this salon has a huge selection of not only regular colors, but specialty colors as well, such as cat eye and jelly polishes. Jelly polishes are definitely on my list to try in the future, so I'll likely be back for that. I very much appreciate the team's outreach and support after my last review, and it's clear that they care greatly for the service they can provide their customers.

The color I selected was a bright green. Some CC brand I've never heard of. I asked if they have DND, they said no. It went on goopy and blotchy. I asked the lady if it would get better, after she applied the first coat on one foot. She just looked at me. To my dismay, there was a language barrier and she didn't understand me. She went on to apply 3 sloppy uneven coats and I stopped her before applying top coat to tell her I didn't like it. She tried to continue applying because she didn't understand me. She called some mean woman over to try to explain to me that it's supposed to look like that, since it's a neon green, and that it's a good brand of polish. I told her I only get bright colors and I showed her my yellow DND polish that is on my hands and feet and how smooth it is. I only get DND. She told me that the green looks good. Tried to tell me the lady put white polish first, I told her she didn't put white first. She looked surprised. I asked her to just take it off and she tried to tell me no she can't. I was getting upset and ended up telling them I'll pay for the pedicure, but just take the polish off. Also, I said I wasn't going to get my hands done. She ended up over charging me for the pedicure. I got the basic, which was supposed to be $35 and she charged me $40. I still even tipped, even tho I didn't want to. Needless to say, DO NOT come here. Heed my warning!! Also, she used only the drill on my toes, no soak off. My toe nails r really thin now.

Life is too short. I had another heartbreak this year and my beloved nail tech left my salon of eight years. I was devastated and tried to use other people at the salon but it just wasn't the same. Nails were not done properly. I had to ask around and Bella kept being brought up. Even though I had a terrible experience before I tried it again. I have a class at Golds and with having another trip on the weekend I said, "why not" and "spinned the block". I'm glad I did. I didn't have an appointment but luckily I got paired with Sky and well it's a match! I love his work! Omg! He shaped my nails and cut them all the same length! He's perfection! So the moral of the story is... sometimes chapters close for good reason. I loved my old nail tech and he loved me but something's just end and that's okay. Point in case, I think this nail tech might be a little better. God, the Universe, call it what you want but sometimes a closed door is allowing you to open what you need. This year has been full of unexpected surprises, a great new nail tech is one I'll take as a win in my book. And so in the case of a lost beloved nail tech, as always, she lives happily ever after.
