This was the second time to visit. The first time I didn't take pictures but the food was just as good! It is a mom and pop kind of restaurant. The dining area isn't extravagant or anything, but the food tastes homemade. I had the birria tacos. They are sooo delicious! The service was GREAT! The young lady serving was the same both visits. The salsa is pretty good, it has a chipotle base. I am not a big chipotle fan, but it was good. They also offered us a habanero based one...had a kick, but I LOVED it! I feel for them because the restaurant before them was not great, so when I visited in the past, the food was just ok. But now under their ownership, the food is great! We came a little after the lunch hour, so we were only ones there today. They were so attentive and kind, they even brought us each a slice of cake for dessert, no charge. I hope they continue to get good business, they deserve it. I'll be back for sure!! read more

I've driven by this strip mall for years and only recently noticed there was a small Mexican restaurant inside. I decided to check it out and I'm glad I did. First, the service was top notch, with the Latina waitress speaking perfect English to me and Spanish to another patron. Nice looking, quaint bar, with plenty of attractive tequila bottles. Chips and salsa were quickly brought to the table, which is standard, but cheese dip came with it! It's not the best queso, but even mediocre cheese dip, two kinds of fresh salsa and warm chips just for sitting down is a helluva deal. I got chorizo and steak burrito and even with a dollar mixed meat charge, it was fantastic. Look at that picture I posted, one of the best burrito presentations I've seen. It's enormous and very affordable. I did find a fly in my beer which was taken off my bill, but other than that, a nice experience, I'll be back with more people next time to try more! read more

Been eating here since I moved to little rock, roughly three years ago. Hands down my favorite tacos in town. We ordered take out for cinco de Mayo (2020). 8 shrimp 8 steak tacos and guaq, queso, and habanero salsa (a personal addiction of mine). Everything came out perfectly as though We'd ordered in-house, and they were completely slammed. Even more impressive that their only income is from Togo due to the covid19 shut down. Went to 3 Amigos Nov 3,2023. Horrible. Should of walked out when we saw the place was empty. Ordered our food. Husband got his and was done eating before I ever got mine. I finally said my husband is done eating. Wheres mine? I had ordered shrimp tacos with rice and beans. I said NO cilantro. Yes. They put cilantro on it. No rice or beans came. The food was cold. Got home and took two bites . Threw in the trash. I highly do NOT recommend this place. HORRIBLE! Not even a " We're sorry for not serving both meals together." They're not even worth a ONE star. Even though they were completely empty of customers, which should have been my first clue on a Friday night, they were "out" of most of the menu which was also overpriced. Y'all...I LOVE this restaurant. The Mexican Pizza is incredible. If you missed Taco Bell's, Three Amigo's will blow your mind! Iv had it with carne asada, carnitas, and chicken and chorizo mixed (). Their salsa, a smoky chipotle, habanero, and tomatillo, are SO GOOD. You may have to request the tomatillo and habanero the first time you go, but if you crave spice, they are TO DIE FOR. On the rocks line margaritas or frozen strawberry are delightful. Also, chunky guacamole fans, get some, you won't be disappointed! read more

Hidden gem!! Located in a little strip mall type place, I've just never stopped by. But my sister was there a few days ago and asked me to join her...I'm glad she did. Authentic street tacos that were amazing, chips and salsa come with cheese dip, huge burrito and our server also brought a special salsa for us to try with habanero peppers...I personally couldn't handle it. I do like this place, though not sure why they just changed their name, still have same staff. I ordered enchiladas lupitas (I think), and they were good with three different meats and corn tortillas. However, there was a lot of fluid on the plate, either from water in the rice or from the red sauce on the enchiladas. It made everything soggy. They do give a yellow cheese sauce with chips and salsa, but it is a little thin. I'm willing to try again, though, as I like their service and the servers are good. read more

One year later Lupitas continues to be great home-made Mexican food. They have a new green salsa which is the closest to Mexico ever. It's got a nice cilantro and avocado flavor, and spicy! Try the Alambre - marinated beef and sautéed onions, peppers and AWESOME! Still my favorite Pastor, although Palenque also has some great tacos. read more

I will preface this by saying our order was probably the last of the night, ordered delivery at 8:30. First time at Three Amigos, we ordered a cheese dip and chicken fajitas. My husband doesn't eat meat so we usually order the regular fajitas and he eats the veggies and sides for his tacos and I eat the chicken. We were very confused to open our order and find no beans, no guacamole and instead just a few pieces of sliced avocado, no sour cream, and 80% chicken 20% peppers and onions. Also the cheese dip was not secured with a rubber band and spilled all over the plastic bag and chip bag which isn't really their fault but simple to remedy by using a rubber band to ensure the cheese dip carton doesn't open for takeout. Food tastes fine but was unfortunately our first and last order. read more

This time, we ordered take-out--a Chicken Quesadilla and a Carne Asada Quesadilla with rice and beans and guacamole on the side. The rice was okay though I'd skip it next time for double beans, which were full of tasty flavor! Both quesadillas were absolutely delicious, although the Carne Asada (the one I ordered) was my favorite! The quesadillas were crisp on the outside and full of delicious meat, cheese, etc. on the inside. One of the best in town! And the guacamole was yummy. I love this place. I've been twice, with another friend and with a large group. Both times the food and service were great. Authentic Mexican with the hottest salsa I've ever had in LR. Cheese dip is something to avoid unless you like the yellow stuff out of a can. My fried says they do a white version that is decent. Beers are cheap and served in big frozen goblets. Margaritas good too. I've had the chimi's, tacos and fajitas. All were great. Prices are very reasonable. Try it out. You'll get to meet Lupita and perhaps her whole family. I have to say don't let the looks fool you because it's nothing fancy, but the food is awesome. We had the beef fajitas and 1 order was plenty for two. Cinco De Mayo and we thought this would be a good bet...we were wrong. Chimichanga was bland and chewy. The accompanying beans were not as tasty as canned beans...again...very little flavor. The sliced avocado pieces were more of an olive green color instead of a nice bright green. The enchiladas were just okay. The small cup of sauce on the side was barely enough to cover one enchilada, let alone three. Honestly, we must have tried them out on a bad day. I do not know why this place has a high rating. My husband and I were looking for something new when I ran across this restaurant. I thought got I had found a hidden gem. Unfortunately, that was not the case. This is an incredibly low-key place. It is located in a strip mall and had minimal decoration. We were the only people in the restaurant when we arrived. By the time we left, one other couple had come in. I ordered some tacos. I am a huge fan of street tacos and was so excited to try them out. I couldn't finish them. The meat was unseasoned, the pick was flavorless, nothing was good about it. I didn't finish them. I have had tacos across the US...these didn't even compete with the tacos I had in the northern US (and they do no not do Mexican well above the mason Dixon line). You do get free cheese dip with your meal. But it's basically nacho sauce so don't get excited. The chips were decent. My husband ordered nachos and a tostilla. His was always no Bueno. If you order iced tea, be aware, it is fake bottled tea. The positive is this - the service was fast and friendly. But please don't waste your time here. If you do, hopefully I did just come in on a bad day. Maybe their chef had quit and they were improvising in his absence. Otherwise, I honestly have no idea why this restaurant has the reviews it has. read more
