My grandmother keeps forcing me to eat at this place for some reason! When you walk through the door, you'll be met with a desk with between 0-2 members of staff on it. The number doesn't matter as you'll be stood there for 10 minutes anyway in a tiny space, blocking the doorway. When you're finally seated, you'll receive poor service of someone who doesn't really care if you're there or not... they have 10 other tables tO take care of so whatever. The food that you get served will not only taste terrible but it will be cold! I don't know how. You'll order a glass of house wine because maybe the food will taste better that way or you'll get drunk enough that you don't care. However, the wine will taste like cool-aide with the same alcohol content as mouthwash You'll ask for the bill but you'll have to wait till the waiter has seen their other 9 tables first before printing it out for you. You'll leave hungry, angry, and with a bad taste in your mouth. I beg my grandmother not to drag me here but I guess she is senile enough to like it. So I'll just vent my frustrations here and keep forcing their food down till she dies. read more

I had the most terrible experience here that wiped out all of the good experiences I've previously had here. Unfortunately, I will not be going back again! I took my fiancé here for her birthday on 2-9-22. I sent her in ahead to get a table for us while I parked the car. I went in and I'm looking around to see where she was sitting and after a walk back and forth from the dining area to the bar area I finally locate my girl sitting at a high table all the way in the back bar area with some guy standing there with her. At first I just thought it was another couple, because I wasn't expecting another guy to be accompanying my lady. So after a good min. I finally realize, "Hey wait that's my girl with some guy!" The guy walks toward the host station, where I was standing, and I ask him what he's doing and he laughs and says "I work here. We were waiting for you." I'm thinking to myself why wasn't this guy waiting for me at his station by the front door to let me know where my lady had been seated??? So I let him know my displeasure with his actions. Total creeper too! One of those guys that "thinks" he's cool, but everyone else can clearly tell he's not and you feel sorry for. Our server greets us and asks us if we want drinks and we ask for a couple minutes to look over the beverage list. After about 5-10 min. the server comes back and takes our order. We waited the longest time for the drinks we ordered (15-20 min.) and when they were finally poured/prepared we watched them sit at the opposite end of the bar waiting to be picked up by our server. Finally, after some time, my lady decided to walk down and grab them for us bringing them back to our table. (The place was NOT busy at all folks!) I ordered 5 orders of Unagi sushi (10 pieces). It was served cold and rubbery, like a leftover from the day before. It is supposed to be served warm, because the eel is heated up in a small toaster oven and the consistency is usually soft and melt in your mouth delectable. So that $40 sucked a**! Now we were asked if we wanted drinks again. I was almost done with my 1st beer and I said, "Yes, let me get another beer ASAP." (based on my first experience of waiting). At this time there's 2 couples and 1 single guy at the bar (spread out), who was very familiar with the bartender, because his drink was brought to him before he even got settled in his seat. Now there's hardly anyone at this huge bar (5 total). The waitress put's it on the bartender as to the reason why are drinks took so long, as if the bartender was busy, not! Now I'm waiting 15 min. for this second beer. It finally comes out and now my lady asks for a "bottle" of Angry Orchard, her second. Our "Signature" dishes come out, still no bottle of beer that my lady reordered 10 min. earlier. I had ordered the Scallops over rice dish and my lady had ordered the Grouper dish (both in the $30 range). She tastes hers and I taste mine and we both look at each other like, wtf is this??? Two different dishes, prepared the same exact way, like they stuck it in the oven where the top was somewhat dry and 90% of the rest was all soggy and absolutely tasteless! I received 4 and a 1/2 medium sized Scallops over rice. I ate the one 1/2 and cut 1 of the other 4 for my lady to taste to see how bad it was. To which she wholeheartedly agreed with disgust. I then tasted some of her fish and it was absolutely disgusting! It had the same tastelessness that the Scallop had. Now, my lady still didn't get her beer and we flag down the server and admit our disgust for these 2 dishes and the terrible drink service. The server put it on the bartender as to why we were waiting on a bottle of beer. Really??? How hard is it to pour a draft beer and take the cap off a bottle of beer??? Anyhow, Birthday-girl goes up to speak to uncool flirt-boy host about how our entrees both suck a$$! Uncool flirt-boy host goes in the back and "claims" the owner is in the kitchen and that we can order another entree at 50% off, only after bragging about how great the dishes we ordered were and how popular they are and how there's never been a problem before. At this point we just want these 99% uneaten dishes taken off our bill and pay for what we consumed, namely the sushi and the 3 consumed beers. And so we finally get the bill. I have cash in my pocket and I look on the receipt and it says, "non-cash payment" $2.95. What the heck is this? So now we bring this to the servers attention and that turned into another fiasco that nobody, including the bartender, knew what they were doing or how to take it off. So I wound up leaving the cash, minus the $3 fee, and we walked out of there in total disgust. Not a good birthday dinner at all! We were so disgusted by what little we tasted that we couldn't even eat anything else and so we just called it a night and made up for it over the next few days. Was looking for an option for dinner that wasn't too far away so we came here on a Thursday night. Kind of a mash up of genres--it seems like a diner but there was a bar in the center, and a sushi bar in the corner. I ordered turkey wrap which came with a side of fries. Fries were great--thick cut with large pieces of salt. The turkey wrap was okay, it was made with a cranberry mayo, I didn't taste any cranberry but there was too much mayo for my liking. If we are rating by quality specifically in the Lakehurst I would say this is a 4 . Family are here had a pork dish , a couple maki rolls , 3 kids chicken fingers and some drinks and desserts . Everything was pretty good . Just had our daughters baby shower here. Everything was fantastic! Stress free. Nicole helped us with booking and Jon was our most attentive and accommodating server. The food was great(Commanders Buffet). Chose salmon provinciale, chicken francese, penne ala vodka, and beef tips Marsala. The dinner also came with rolls, spring mix salad, red potatoes, a broccoli/cauliflower mix, and a cookie tray. We paid for the pitchers of red and white sangria and pitchers of soda. Ok let me start out with a little restaurant math. In school, three b's come out to average a 3.0 GPA. In other words a B. That's not evidently how restaurant math works. In restaurant math, three B's equals a D-. So it started out promising, it was a nice interior, clean and a nice bar. Hostess was pleasant enough. The bartender that served us initially was professional. No personality to speak of, but again this isn't something I'd grade a restaurant on in a review... but from finishing our sushi app (lovely by the way) the cracks started to show. To begin with, our garbage was left from the sushi app to the end of the meal, with few at the bar and three employees behind it. No big deal, sure. Next. A young, blonde and blue-eyed bartender came in in street clothes, and put hit uniform shirt on behind the bar, and while he was getting ready made sure he had fully adjusted his wedding tackle right there behind the bar. I mean pulled them both up from his socks and tucked them... knee up in the air and all. No big deal I suppose, I mean at least he didn't have his hands actually down his pants... but still. Again, not a deal breaker and I wouldn't mention it if not for the rest. Next. My wife's Guinness had a crack in the glass. Ok that happens. The bartender took it, and filled the new one EXACTLY to the line her other had been drank down to. Really? So the food comes. If this is "Fine Dining" for Lakehurst, then the McDonalds must be up for their first Michelin Star. Fries were underdone, food was actually damn near cold. Coleslaw was half full, maybe. My wife's food was super sweet for a dish that's not supposed to be and the sauces were definitely low food service grade. Also, we had to ask separately for utensils, none came with our meal and we couldn't get more than one set at a time. So a D- and that's being generous. If you want to go and drink here, that's pretty much fine I'd say although we didn't have mixed drinks... but food? I don't The the sushi is good enough to overcome the poor service... on top of that we watched more than a few instances of employee huddled where they were audibly making fun of other employees. There was one standout though, and as far as I'm concerned he should be leading the service staff. A thin, young red headed kid. He was the one I counted on to bring us what we needed, and he did it with a smile. Something lacking from EVERY OTHER STAFF MEMBER. Feels a bit like Bum Rogers where the staff acted like there was an overseer with a whip waiting to get them. Not a pleasant experience, not worth the money or time. Avoid. read more

Years we've been dining here, they used to have great food and service. Tonight, I thought we were at Denny's.... Place was mostly empty @ 7:30pm. We were seated adjacent their private dining room. Every time that door was opened, a cold blast was felt, and forced us to close the door. Okay...we had layers. Caeser salad was so warm, the romaine limp, the croutons soggy, and the dressing "breaking". Entrees insipid, service spotty. Very much not like them. Food was awful. Other options abound. I used to really like their food but the prices have gotten very expensive and the quality has definitely gone down. My daughter described her quesadilla as "mid". It was very soggy. My son's Sushi roll was $20! I had the Apple Salad w/Salmon added and it was fine. My other daughter ordered the Crispy Chicken BLT w/ Vegan chicken. The roll was way bigger than the chicken, so it was more bread than protein. They also tack on 4% to your bill if you use a credit card! I saw no signage whatsoever at the entrance or on the menus advising you of this policy. If they are going to add a fee, they should be very clear in letting the diners know. If anyone decides to go to Three B's on 70 in Lakehurst, NJ make sure there is alcohol in your mixed drinks! We were there about 2-3 months ago and we ordered our drinks, and we were served a glass of cranberry juice with lime and ZERO ALCOHOL! There are 2 managers; Jim who is family and Sean who is not family. These 2 individuals did this to us and it is outrageous that my review under GOOGLE was taken down by "the owner" who responded that this did not take place! Social media they are lying! Sean has had choice words one evening with another Customer who we became friends with and Sean said, now I am quoting Sean, "I hate those two!" Sean is studying to become a firefighter. When our credit card bill came in, they charged $20.00 for a tip amount. He emailed a copy of our receipt to the manager. He has called several times and the matter was never settled. I was here for 2ish weeks, so I visited a few tomes for the proximity and the diverse menu. Out of 4 visits, I'll say it's Day1: Went there for lunch and got the drunken meatball sandwich . It was ok - 2.5 stars. The meatballs were large, but left a lot to be desired and were gritty. The bread, mozzarella and vodka sauce did a great job compensating for the - just ok - meatballs. Day 2: I got the pot roast (special) with mashed potatoes (3 stars because it was ok) in a bread bowl to go. Not sure how it would have been if served, but they separated the pot roast and mashed potatoes with the bread bowl which was appreciated. I ended up not touching the bread bowl, but all the pot roast sauce and mashed potatoes made a greatt mix! Also got clam chowder (the red kind) that was barely worthy of 2 stars. Not from the area, so it may have been great, just not for me. Day 3: Got a prime rib ciabatta (2 stars). It was very dry and boring. Not 1 star because it wasn't awful. Day 4 (last day): got the Japanese Chicken Bowl for take out. Opened it up, and it looked fantastic! I was happy to see it was real chicken (the kitchen didn't slice all the way through, so some of it still looked like a chicken breast), and I was excited to finally get a great meal from this joint! Alas, there was a terrible disappointment. The chicken, although not processed, was almost certainly the hardest, driest chicken I have ever had. Seriously. Food spot on the wall, trash under our table, the floor under the bar was dirty as well mud mixed with some spilled booze. Do y'all know what a broom and mop are? I've work in a restaurant as a waitress , I can't imagine getting to leave without cleaning my tables and sweeping. So over priced for frozen food. Burgers were frozen, pizza was frozen. I've been here three times. On my own for lunch, it is the first place where I left hungry but still over spent on food. I believe what I ordered was called an organic chicken sandwich, or something like that. What I got was a BIG bun and very little meat. I ended up cutting part of the bun off and eating the sandwich. And the soup I ordered with it didn't arrive at all until I asked for it. With friends, I was amazed when some of the food came out over-done. I ordered steak one time and a sandwich the next and neither was done the way it should have been. Obviously a medium well steak isn't bloody and a sandwich without lettuce should actually be served without lettuce. When I was there on a Saturday evening, the place was jammed with drinkers, loud drinkers. When I was there on a Thursday night, we were met with a less than friendly hostess (a smile would be nice), and no one seemed to know what was going on. While I am fully aware that many businesses are adding this charge, I did not understand why it was added without asking how we were paying. And when I questioned it, I was told that "it's the law in NJ". Disappointing. Clearly frozen food, prepared badly. First off, the service was fine and We don't blame the server at all. We ordered the Mahi-mahi in coconut . A bit dry and seemed frozen, but not terrible. A big portion, supposed to be with fried rice that was just plain rice with pineapple and ham. The only eatible dish we got that night. The salmon with hollandaise... oh my! A little, tiny piece of salmon that was cut totally uneven and included a super thin, dry piece that was more like jerky than an appropriate dinner portion. How they could cut this piece and deem it appropriate to serve shows the low standards of this restaurant. My guess is that they didn't cut it in the restaurant and they received it frozen. Cutting into it, it seemed more like scooping shredded tuna from a can than a $20 Dinner entree. The "risotto" on the side was a portion of plain white rice with some herbs mixed In. No slow cooked, saucy creaminess, seriously just uncle bens. Sent it back and was told that "sometimes the end piece is cut like that and comes a little dry"!!! What! So sometimes you're out of luck and get the worst piece of poop ever?!?' Yikes. At least they took it off the bill, no problem. Lastly, my mother ordered the onion soup and coconut shrimp appetizer with fries. The fries never arrived. The onion soup was yum, hard to mess that up. I should add that the salad that came with the salmon was fresh and delicious. The coconut shrimp though... obviously frozen and fried in old oil. They taste of old oil was overwhelming and reminded me of that fried taste from fast food French fries. The two older couples at the table next to us were equally disappointed and were telling other customers that just arrived to leave! It was funny but not really... went there tonight for thanksgiving there were 8 of us. we were seated at 3 did not see our server for about 45 minute. the water bottle on the table had stuff floating in it. told the server finally he did not apologize just brought out another bottle which also had stuff floating in it 20 minutes later we got our drinks And ordered our food. About 45 minutes later I asked another person where our server went she just said that they were bus and very backed up but no apology. The food showed up at this point its 5 :00. The server had only been to our table maybe 4 times he forgot the cranberry sauce. The turkey was full of bones and grizzle and the stuffing was not edible. I decided to talk to a manager but since our server was nowhere to be found I went to the check in place to inquire about one. The girl who I spoke to earlier was there and asked a female manager behind the bar if she wanted to talk to a customer she said no and with a smug look on her face turned and started to walk away I confronted her and she sent a guy over to talk to me. This guy was a real piece of work I doubt that he was really a manager he was serving food to a bunch of tables around us. he was very condescending and rude in the end they didn't even take anything off the bill and had the nerve to charge 20% gratuity. Now I understand they would be busy but how is that my fault the food was horrible and the service was even worse our server barely spoke to us if I would have gotten even 1 apology from him or management I would not have written this review.
