Fried Grouper Fish Sandwich With Fries
    Monica W.

Cool Sports Bar Vibes. I Didn't Dine In I Was Just On A Pick Up Mission To Try The Fried Grouper Fish Sandwich. My To Go Order Was Packed Very Nicely With Utensils, Napkins & All The Condiments Including Tartar Sauce. I Liked That They Kept My Lettuce, Tomato, & Onion To The Side So My Bun Wouldn't Get Soggy. The Crunch On The Fish Batter Was Great & The Tender Flounder Underneath Was Large & Tasty. I Will Go Back To Try The Blackened Version Of The Sandwich. The Host Who Took My Order, Was Kind, Professional & Competent. I Look Forward To Going Back.

Service was slow even though it's was basically empty, I bought a strawberry daiquiri & it was the worse one I've ever had. It's was flavorless, I told the waitress just to let her know. She offered to take it off the bill even though I refused, she insisted so I said ok. She then came back to say it couldn't be taken off the bill. The place is outdated with holes in the seats.

Side salad that came with entreé

I'd say the 3.5 star average here is probably fair. I recently got to try this chain via Uber Eats after redeeming a $15 off promo code. I had no issues with delivery or temperature of the food. Everything tasted fresh and was seasoned well. I ordered the shrimp and grits which came with garlic bread and a side choice of soup or salad - I got the salad. I also ordered mashed potatoes on the side to go with my next day's lunch, but I ended up eating them with the sauce from my entreé, since there was more sauce than grits. The potatoes had nice chunks like some homemade styles do, if you like that. I thought they were good, even though I usually prefer creamy and smooth texture. I can't say I've ever had a bad experience with shrimp and grits anywhere I can think of and this was no different. Everything tasted good with the exception of the grits being a little hard in places as it was formed in a grit cake instead of a bed. The presentation was pretty sloppy for takeout but it's understandable as they used a large container. Overall, it was still a satisfying dish, but I think I still prefer Pappadeaux, Louisiana Bistreaux, or The Atlanta Breakfast Klub for this dish in the area. The salad and bread were nice touches as a lot of restaurants make you order those a la carte these days. I probably would try more items from this chain again. It wasn't mind-blowing but it definitely was a solid, filling meal and with the discount who could complain?

    Buffalo Shrimp

My co-worker convinced a few of us to do take out from this spot. Ok I'm game. I give anybody a shot. She recommended the Buffalo Shrimp to me because she knows I love seafood. She went on and on about how good the food is at this spot. The name gives you the impression that there are cheap eats here. Nope not the case. I ordered the Buffalo Shrimp platter and was just unimpressed. It literally was 10 Shrimp and some Fries. The co worker made it seem like the Shrimp were going to be huge. To me they were normal sized. This platter was $13.99 before tax. Hmmm thats a nice hunk of change to spend for a lunch on a regular work day. Yeah I'll pass next time. The shrimp was ok. Kind of dry. No sauce. The fries were soggy. I'm good.

    Nice to watch the games!

I had gotten here around 4:30PM and went to the pool table, I had been waiting close to 15-20 minutes to be served. I just went to the bartender with a slicked back bun and wearing a burgundy shirt named "T" to ask for a drink since my friend had gotten there before me and said she had taken his order prior to me getting there. After waiting about 3 minutes at the bar, she approached me and rudely asked if I had been sitting by the pool tables. I replied and said "yes I'm sitting near the pool tables" and she responded rudely again and said she couldn't take my order and the server sitting in my section would take it. I had told her "okay, well I have been sitting here for a while waiting to be served and I wanted to order a drink" and she responded and said "well we didn't see you over there, go back to your table and I'll get your server" The server named Dom, took my order and I asked him for her name since he either saw/heard what happened. Bless his heart for trying to rectify the situation by bringing the food out quickly and being more pleasant. What makes the story worse, is that this bartender (after she yelled at me) went back to the pool tables where we were sitting to take away plates for another table she had already served and they were sitting one table over from us. So she served them (males) and my friend (another male) and felt like she refused to help or serve me. Overall, I would come back but definitely steering clear of that rude bartender that was very sarcastic and had a nasty attitude. Definitely go there on weekend nights when different bartenders are working and aren't as rude.

The venue host local fans of various teams including my beloved New York Giants and my partners Chicago Bears. It is located off of the main road on a semi secluded plot of land that has ample parking, and very well lit. The patio area, which allows for smoking, is one of the first areas I noticed as several people were sitting out there on a pleasant Sunday evening. The patio also had several TVs for viewing games. Upon entry, there was seating in a bar area with additional TVs, and a larger dining area to the right of entrance and beyond the front section were pool/billiards tables with TVs around the tables. I sat at a hi-top table with my group, who had already arrived, in the larger dining area. Noticed that the booths had their own personal TVs. I let our server know that I had just arrived and would like to see a menu. She barely acknowledged me, and never returned with requested menu. My partner had arrived prior to me and had ordered the grouper sandwich with a side of okra. The grouper was grilled and fairly tasty. The okra was fried and came with a sauce that was really good. After we shared his meal, I was still interested in ordering. When the menu finally made it to me, I looked at the options and decided that I wanted to stick with fish. There were only a few options, including fish and chips, a salmon entrée, and the grouper sandwich. I decided on the fish and chips as it was described to be cod served on a bed of fries, and wanted to order a different type of fish. I pointedly asked the server if the fries had a batter similar to other establishments, and she said no. She went on to describe several other things that were not related to my question, but did confirm that there was nothing added to the fries. Unfortunate what I received was a few pieces of heavily breaded fish, and a basket of battered fries. When sharing that this is "exactly what I did not want" and inquiring about alternatives, the server repeatedly stated that sweet potato fries were available at an up charge. She said this several times, and at no point provided any solutions. My partner later shared that she told him that the sweet potato fries were also battered fries, which was exactly what I didn't want in any form, fashion or type of potato! We ended up cutting our losses with my partner, eating the fries and me dissecting the heavy breading to actually find the cod. My server never came back to check on me as I was interested in ordering a beer to go with my meal. This experience just confirms that everyone is not suitable for the service industry! The other servers that were in the vicinity appeared to be much more comfortable with larger crowds, and I actually had to ask one of them for something because my server never returned after bringing the food. Customer Service should be number one in every establishment, as I am a proponent of rewarding good service. I may return again after eating elsewhere to just enjoy the games, get a few drinks and possibly play pool as it was closed by the time I finished eating (access to the pool tables end 20 minutes prior to restaurant close time per another server - still not mine).

Doing some research, I couldn't find any pricing on it, or even a ton of info about "what it is." So, I decided to go ahead and book it and only after you've started the booking process, do you get pricing ($30 p/person p/hour for a private table.) Since we had five people, we got our own private table. Showing up, we were greeted by our host and shown to a Vegas-like blackjack table, complete with overhead screens, a felt table for cards, and NFC-enabled cards and chips so the computer could track everyone's hands and earnings. This is 100% card-based. All the games have to do with cards and while you can play the old traditional poker games, they have tons of different games you can play, of differing types. All told, we played about five different games. The computer works pretty well, although there were a few times our host had to "reset" something, or fix something the computer did wrong. Our host was a young guy, as was our server. Both were pretty outgoing and friendly and made everyone at the table feel welcome and comfortable. Our server even joined in on a few games with us since it was a slow, Wednesday night. Our table host clearly had some advanced card-training as he was a pretty good shuffler and certainly had more card moves than the average person. All in all, it was a fun night. Since our evening, I've received several text messages inviting us to book again. Unfortunately, the cost is a little prohibitive. I certainly can't drop $350 all the time for my family to do something for a couple of hours. But, the whole place isn't dedicated to group, table games. It's a mixed-use game-slash-restaurant and most of the other people there didn't appear to be gaming. I hope the place stays around, but I feel they need to be a bit more transparent about things. For instance, I had no idea if we needed to tip the server AND the host, so I just left a big tip and hoped they split it. Just info like that and in general, what happens when you're there, might help things.
