We had smoked turkey, ribs. slaw, Brunswick stew, mac n cheese, banana pudding, cornbrick (cornbread-- it weighed a ton). Personally, I was not impressed, but husband enjoyed his food. My main concern was the fact that I couldn't smell smoke. I love wood fired and charcoal grilling and this was not it. Some of the food lacked flavor and seasoning. The most juicy fall off the bone dryrub ribs I ever had. A lot of rib places around here fall short. But these ribs were so moist and tender even without sauce that it made my eyes go back in my head. And you can't beat the price, fantastic. Also love the collard greens and the chili. Really great. And I don't know what kind of seasoning they use on their dry rub chicken wings, but that was fantastic too. I don't even like chicken wings that much but the flavor on these was great. read more

I have visited the Midtown location many years ago and was happy to see a location closer to where I live. Picked up a to go order and everything was ready when I walked in. Food nicely packaged. The chicken sandwich was better than I remembered. The slaw, pickles and chicken combo is wonderful. The chicken was moist and not dry at all. The beans are a must try. The Mac and cheese was good but nothing over the top. Took my family in once after that and we had a wonderful time. Went early on a Sunday and not many people there. My toddler son loved the chicken and tried a little bit of everything. A good experience for all of us. The food quality was there, service was good and the restaurant was clean. Came in last night for dinner with a few people. It was a Tuesday night and it wasn't crowded. Just a few people. They post their daily specials on their Instagram page daily. I checked it out before we came and there was squash casserole that I was pumped to get. Buuut they were out by the time we got there for dinner at 6. The sauce they put on it is spectacular and they topped it with just the right amount of slaw. My sides were super tasty as well! The potato salad was so good. The banana pudding was good as well. The food is classic bbq and they have several southern sides. I ordered the sides platter. I chose the squash casserole, Lima beans and Brunswick stew. Loved it. And it came with cornbread. My hubs ordered large ribs beans and collards so we got to try everything! They have soft drinks. They have hard drinks. I got the Bushwacker with a peanut butter float. You should too. I fell in love with this BBQ joint at their location in Greenville, SC so I was ecstatic to see a location closer to home! The food is sooooo good! I always get the smoked wings - they're smoky, well-seasoned, tender, and perfectly cooked. The cornbread was really great as well and my husband enjoyed the baked beans. You also can't go wrong with any of their dessert options. As for service, everyone here is so nice. They go out of their way to be accommodating and check in regularly to ensure everyone's happiness. The interior is the only thing I think would need some improvement and why I can't quite give 5 stars. It wasn't very clean or well-maintained as people came and went. Even though we sat far from the trash, the flies around it (and the soda machine) were very visible and some roamed over our way. I hope this is resolved soon because I really love the food but I don't feel too comfortable going if it's not at least a little bit cleaner. read more

Stopped by while out running errands. Got a bone in chicken platter and pulled pork platter. The chicken was absolutely succulent, and the side of fried green tomatoes, buttered carrots and corn bread were satisfying and tasty. Loved the little bits of pickled red onions too. The pulled pork was a little dry, but the sauce saved the day, and the side of potato salad was better than most. It had Mac and cheese as well, which was alright, but not outstanding. I tried this barbecue place with my wife as we were in the mood for ribs. The service was good and fast and the food was delicious especially the ribs and the fried green tomatoes. They have beer and wine soft drinks and sweet tea. They have a nice patio for a cool fall day or a nice summer day. Had them for this first time at an event (catered) in our neighborhood this past weekend. I had no idea they were around and surprised their restaurant was so close by. Will definitely dine-in now that I know where they are and their catering was so good. Chicken, pulled pork, cornbread, salad, beans in sauce, green beans and, of course, it would not have been a BBQ without mac-n-cheese. It was all delicious, fresh and well prepared. We did not interact with any staff, but, then again, it was catered. I can tell you though, based on the taste of the food alone the restaurant must surely be worth going to. They are a legit kitchen - my 2 sides were collards and Brunswick Stew. Portions are fine - not teeny, not generous. Flavor on point. Collards perfect texture; Stew has good smoke and heat balance, and veg/sauce/meat mix to my liking. Sandwich - generous portion of pulled (by hand, not chopped/ground/abused) pork, good smoke, good quality bun, not oversauced. Nice amount of slaw on sandwich - doesn't take over, just provides crunch. Meat not dry, not fatty - cooked properly. I'm very excited that Moe's has opened in the Peachtree Corners/ John's Creek area. The food is great, nice little bar area, outdoor patio, and very family friendly. My favorite menu item is the smoked wings. They are very large wings and have the best taste. Baked beans and Mac n cheese are my go-to sides. The slaw is also very good. Every day there is a special such as rib sandwich, fried chicken sandwich, etc. These are usually very very good. Lastly, the owner and staff are very kind. My only downfall is the younger staff could use a little more training with "service". Otherwise, friendly and accommodating staff. Food was horrible! Catfish was not seasoned and filled with grease. Pulled pork sandwich was wet including the bread. Fried green tomatoes had no seasoning. I wasted $25. Also they have an 88 - B sanitation score. I never see more than 3 cars there when passing. The sanitation score and the lack of traffic should have been the red flags that I paid attention to. I honestly want my money back and would gratefully bring the food back since I didn't eat it. read more

Just tried this place. Ribs were, in fact, falling-off-the-bone and the pulled pork were good and moist, not too fatty. Note there was a salty seasoning on top of the ribs, that I found tasty (I like salt), but just know that. The sauce was a balanced complement to the meat, not too sweet, not too vinegary. Favorites: FRIED GREEN TOMATOES!!! Crunchy and well seasoned. Mud slide dessert! Homemade seeming Brunswick Stew! Cornbread! mild flavor, not spicy but lightly seasoned, buttered and grilled. Not-So-Favorite: Coleslaw is purely vinegar based, no Mayo - I didn't realize when I ordered. I didn't even give it a chance, just not in the mood for that. Mac n Cheese - good on top where the cheese is, but seemingly no cheese at all underneath. I mixed the cheesy bits into each bite, but Why? Just please put more cheese into it. This place has a big parking-facing patio. And Live Music the Saturday we visited. Great live music! We almost didn't sit on the patio because of it, but it was Ralph Roddenberry!! He is so awesome. This place is still very new, but I don't expect it to be a secret for long. All I can say is wow!!! This is a legit bbq joint. My wife and I ordered some takeout. For starters we got the hush puppies. You get 4 and they're rich, but hot damn they're good. She got the smoked turkey platter with cole slaw and potato salad. Turkey was moist and delicious. The cole slaw has green peppers and is made with vinegar, but the exact right amount, and it's a side you will always want to get. The potato salad, skin on, was also a winner. I got the small rib platter, it's supposed to come with 4 ribs, but to my surprise it had 5. Xmas came early! These ribs were tender and flavorful, and their bbq sauce has that hint of heat that dances on the tip of your tongue. I added the potato salad as well and mac and cheese which was on point. The platters also came with cornbread which had a Texas toast look to it, but also crazy good. We both had leftovers as the portions are very generous. Finished it off with their banana pudding which was delicious. Not too rich, the perfect palate cleanser. Definitely going back this weekend to try the pulled pork.
