Good place to bring the kids. I like the staff. The prices have gone up. You now have to pay to rent skates as well. This wouldn't be a problem if the rental skates were in better condition. If we have to pay to rent them now they should be better not having the screws rub your heel from the screws going through the insoles or barely having any laces to tie them up. The kids get attitudes from some employees when they ask for a different pair so now I have to go inside to make sure they can get decent skates(which is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5). There is no longer put put but there is a pool table, air hockey, basketball games, as well as some other games for the kids to play. The skate floor is good they play music with NO commercials. The building is old and the floor is Horrible with Zero Skate floor guards and the down stairs area need upgrades.The Management doesn't interact with the customers only stay in there office.The Skates are old and worn and building is poorly maintained read more

I took my grown kids this past Sunday because it was Adult night. I use to come here every Friday and Saturday night when it was a good place to go to. I guess new owners took over. The floor was so bad and half the time you couldnt skate because they had dancers dancing and they said you had to be in the middle of the ring to skate because of them and then you couldnt skate there neither because they was dancing there also and if you was going slow you got a woman coming around to tell you that you needed to pick it up or get off the floor. This used to be a good place, but it has gone downhill. The floor used to be nice and slick, but not anymore. you're lucky if you don't trip over the lumps of wax they have. The new owners don't know anything about a rink if they keep it up like that. They need to close it down until someone can take it over who knows and who will put the money into it that wants people to keep coming back. I know I will not be. It used to be a respectful place, now it's the ghetto there was no one in the food area and the place smelled nasty. feel so bad that a once very nice place has gone downhill so badly read more

Having had the last skating rink in Charleston go down like the sinking ship it always was, I decided to go to this establishment's Adult Skate on Sunday night. I was surprised to find virtually every rule included "adults only" being totally ignored and 6 year olds getting in the way everywhere. What gives? Why call it adult night at all? Where to even begin? Upon walking in, you are greeted by not only a glaringly discriminatory dress code, discouraging tank tops, crop tops, halter tops, shorts above the knee, baggy pants, etc, but also a terribly unfriendly desk lady. While I am handing my credit card over to pay to keep this steaming garbage heap in business, I am not only berated by the woman behind the desk about my top being half an inch above my jeans, but humiliated in front of a line of thirty waiting teens without masks. After negotiating my way through the door by putting on a friend's jacket, albeit against my better judgement, I am immediately greeted by a room full of fifty or more people not wearing masks. I get my skates, note that they are also in abysmal condition, and begin skating around, but the rude staff, and poor conditions of the skates put such a damper on our time there that after one lap we were already ready to leave. We came in the summer on a Monday. There were multiple camps and day cares there which led to a crowded rink. The rink was a little bumpy causing some falls. They only offer traditional skates for rentals, no inlines. On the plus side the facility was clean, smoke free, staff was friendly, prices were reasonable, it was a fun way to pass the time on a hot summer day. read more

A disaster. Friends and I came in excited to have a fun night of skating. Immediately humiliated at the desk for wearing a crop top and having a bra strap showing. They had a list of highly misogynistic rules for skaters that were heavily enforced. We were only let in if we promised to keep our coats on. Staff was very rude and only 2 of the 15+ employees were wearing masks. Staff were not mandating masks for skaters, which was highly dangerous considering how large a group they were letting in (70+ people and a line out the door). Will not be returning.. read more

I went to the skating rink probably a little less than ten years ago, in elementary school. I did not know how to skate, and it was very intimidating for me to take a trip to a skating rink, but it was part of a class celebration for students with good grades. I got onto the skating rink and very quickly decided I wanted to turn around because I wasn't going anywhere on roller skates. I turned around and a very rude employee told me that I was not allowed to turn around. So what do I do? I crawl on my hands and knees all the way to the exit. I was less than 1/4 of the way through the rink before I started crawling. I was CRYING by the time I got to the end, and I am still traumatized to go skating to this day. Of course my mom had dropped me off there, so I didn't have anyone to come and pick me up, and my only choice was to sit in a booth all alone until the end of that dreaded experience. Came in town from Indianapolis, In to Catawba, SC. Was flying out on Monday looking for an adult late night skate on Sunday night like we have here in Indy. Closest rink with Sunday night adult skate was an hour and half away @ Three Fountains Rink in West Columbia, SC. Nothing to a Roller so I loaded my skates in the trunk cause I always travel with them and I rolled out. The lady working the cash register greeted me with true southern hospitality. I told her where I'd flown in from and she politely offered to keep my shoes behind the counter because they have a bring your own lock policy for the lockers and of course I didn't have one. The floor was pretty well kept and rolled nice and smooth and seemed much larger than the pics on the internet. Nice mix of music a lil too much house music at times for my taste, but I was still bouncing to it and never left the floor. No drama at all just good clean fun. SC impressed me with skaters spinning and twirling like tops all over the floor. Real rollers recognize real rollers. I think I'd actually find my wife in SC if I could spend more time there .
