This was my go to Brewery. And Oreo's too. Great people. Dog friendly. Never a bad time. The beers are very good. Since moving away we miss it so much!

I agree with the other reviews! If you weren't looking for this place you would drive right past it.. Well worth a visit! Their beer is on par with the biggest in San Diego. I love this intimate small atmosphere where you can ask the owner and brewers anything you want. I took some to go! I will be coming back here especially for the atmosphere.. Small is good! You go to some of those other places downtown or in Miramar and you get those brewery shuttle buses dumping off loads of drunk tourists sometimes you just don't want that.

Since my last visit there has been quite a bit of expansion and to my surprise the beer menu hasn't changed, if at all.....which is a good thing! I had the Revolver IPA which was as good as I remember and then ordered a chicken sandwich from the inside restaurant which was amazing, I mean really good - smoked chicken breast, moist and juicy, served on a chiabatta roll, lettuce, tomato, aioli, and bacon. Was the least expensive sandwich at $11 but I challenge the others to be as good. Once you get past the noise of a Saturday night corn hole tourney, the place is really quite nice. Be back soon!

Welcome new decor changes and a removed partition wall provided additional bar area and table seating. The open concept, also pet & family friendly, lets us see the brewing tanks while providing a neat backdrop and unique space for the Trivia Night host. The front patio space has ample picnic table seats in addition to a front entrance area for pop-up eatery/food truck vendor to sell snackable bites. I have tried different tasty plates like skewers with corn ribs and rice from Ming Ouns to melted cheese with baguette and potatoes from The Raclette Stand. Inside and out on the patio. They have a very nice and large bar top. The place is quite large with an open and airy feel. Definitely cool brewery vibes. The bathroom was really impressive; huge and spotlessly clean. They have a great selection of beers on tap from light to IPA. Stouts, darks - a beer for everybody. Beer only right now. I enjoyed a very tasty Mexican Lager (La Bamba). Becky begrudgingly enjoyed one as well. She no longer drinks beer. She lost nearly 50 pounds by switching to low carb, low calorie seltzers a few years ago. That was our only disappointment, no seltzers. Not even in cans in the cooler. If we ever return, she'll have to bring her own. Sunny Grove does not have a kitchen, but they do host a different food truck or pop-up nearly every day. Check the calendar on their website for details. sunnygrovebeer.com Definitely a cool spot, just wish they'd add a seltzer even if it is canned.

Our waiter, Nolan, not Simon... was funny, helpful, and even though they were busy he handled everyone like a champ. Nolan recommended a few options, which we took his advice on and ordered. I had the HOP CLOUD HAZY, very good and my husband had the GOOD TO GO IPA (2) so obviously it was good. The pretzel bites were delicious! We split the Jalapeno popper burger and fries. Fast forward to today - we received a gift card as birthday present months ago & we finally decided to use it today and unfortunately, had the same experience... slow service. We were there around 4pm & they were not busy at all. The staff actually looks & acts like they're unhappy to see you. Their sign says to grab a menu, pick a table & order from your server or at the bar. We waited 10 minutes for a server at our table that never came so I went to the bar & waited another 10 minutes to be helped by the 1 & only bartender serving the entire restaurant. So many more rude & weird things happened after this, including never getting our bill & the fact that 1/2 the tables were empty & dirty. Weirdest thing of all is there were about 2-4 men standing around doing nothing but serving dirty looks and the one & only female server kept sitting down at 1 guests table. Not coming back.

Everything is so clean but it has a very good rustic and real feel to it. The drinks here are my favorite because to be honest, I'm a sours beer kind of guy and they have a whole building dedicated to it. The other building (not sure which is considered the main ones) has a large selection of your typical IPAs, lagers, you name it. The flavors are good and they seems to have some deals going on from time to time for cans to take home which I can appreciate. They also have a few board games to keep you entertained and seem to consistently have some options fora food vendor as well as many times having live music. Definitely worth the visit on a day you see them having one of these vendors or live bands you may be interested in. The people here seem to be very friendly with their regulars and greet you as if you're a friend. I think this bodes well with breweries considering you're usually here to have a good time and chill. I wouldn't say it feels like the reason I'd come back at all but no complaints here. Just didn't feel like out of this world service by any means.
