This place is special. I used to love going here during Mardi Gras and whenever I was in downtown Mobile. It's on the corner of Dauphin Street where a short walking distance from the restaurants and bars in downtown. The rock candy was always my favorite but the chocolates are great. They make everything in the morning from scratch. They still use old fashion machines and recipes. If you are ever in Mobile you MUST go here. I mean, it's the beez knees... Not too fond of Mobile but this is a must if you're in the city. read more

The staff seemed disgruntled, but not hostile. I bought $12 worth of sweets. The chocolate was horrible. The peanut butter milk chocolate tasted like plastic. The white chocolate cashew was awful and made me feel sick, straight up stomach ache. I threw everything else away. read more

Well I will say that the staff is very very very friendly. But the chocolates leave something to desire. They were nothing more than overpriced Hershey's in a pretty display. I really want to give this place 5 stars because the people were so nice and its such an adorable place but after trying the fudge I can't give 5 stars. I was visiting a friend from Chicago and she brought me here to buy some treats for the plane. I bought 1/4 pound of fudge and a dark chocolate covered peanut cluster. My friends and I tried the fudge on the plane and all agreed that it tasted moldy. It was so horrible, we all spit it out. I'm really hoping that it doesn't always taste like dirty sewer water and this batch was just somehow made incorrectly. read more

Don't waste your time and money. I'm visiting Mobile from CA. The place is a bland imitation of an old fashioned ice cream parlor. Though I ordered a simple milkshake, it took 25 minutes because the guy (rude) served a group of teenagers and parents ahead of me. Five dollars for a half filled plastic cup with mediocre ice cream. UGH!!! Bad experience, but did give me an entrepreneurial idea to open up a Cold Stone Cream Shop. read more

Came in with high expectations. I stated that it was our first time in and we didn't receive any recommendations; except, for the chocolate chip root beer float. No, it wasn't good. I finished it but I wasn't happy. There was maybe a scoop of ice cream. Which of course, melted immediately and I was just drinking weird sweet root beer. The ice cream cone that we ordered was butter pecan and it tasted like freezer burn. Again, we finished it but out of respect. Which kills me to say but it's only our experience. LOVE candy! Especially caramel. I searched for a candy store in Mobile and found this one. It's down by cathedral square where they hold the Saturday farmers market about one block away from the square. I have been in twice. My first experience was very nice and I made my purchases and felt good about them. Today I went in and there was a lady, I believe by herself, and she was ok. She was not mean or short with me, but she wasn't friendly. That's very odd for Mobile imho. They have a couple of my favs: sour gummies, excellent and fresh and very fruity, and caramel turtles. They also have heavenly hash and I was able to taste. I was expecting it to be a little sweeter actually. Oh and last week I also bought a praline the guy said they make there and I love pralines but only ate about half of this one. It crumbled and didn't seem to have enough nuts... Just not impressed. I will make it a habit of going back as I go to the Saturday market regularly. They have a soda fountain bar but I have not tried anything yet... But I will. read more

Also owns the bakery, known as the "Nut House". Described on the web site is a Lemon Poppy Seed pudding cake, baked in a tube pan, and glazed with a tart lemon glaze. Ordered one for Christmas, and drove fifty (50) miles to get it. Cake was NOTHING like described! It was baked in a small bundt pan, and did not have one drop of lemon glaze. Threw half of it away, and froze the other half for proof to show to bakery personnel. Have contacted them. VERY disappointed, very poor customer relations. And, this was giving them a second chance, after finding green mold in a pecan cake a couple of years ago. Whatever happened to 'quality control'? read more

The customer service here is absolutely wretched. I understand being irritated during busy hours, but the staff was openly hostile towards me. The one positive thing about this place is that the chocolate is decent. I would not recommend ever going here if you want a pleasant experience. read more

I work at a local hospital and someone brought a cake from Three Georges I absolutely loved it. I ordered one from Dauphin Street. I mistakenly went to the one on on Airport and McGregor the woman their was quit rude and unfriendly. She helped customers all around me and acted is she didn't want to be bothered. The food is still awesome but, for future references check out the other two locations Dauphin Street and the other on Broad Street. I really wanted the cake its a White Choclate Butter Pecan you should try it. read more

DO NOT go here. Without their prices being posted, the charges seem to be done "at will." I work in downtown Mobile and always get the same thing yet it is NEVER the same price. In addition, if you order a luncheon item and get it "for here", you get a certain portion; if you get it "to go", you don't get even half as much, yet you are charges the same amount. I ordered a milkshake as a treat for my daughter - the to-go cup wasn't even half the size if I'd had it in the store and it was served in to-go coffee cup with no ability to drink it as the straw couldn't be inserted...kinda' key for toddlers. And apparently, you have to hear about every personal aspect of the employees' lives, and they might even serve you in between their comments. Biggest waste of $10. read more
