Chicken sausage, egg, and arugula sandwich

We really enjoyed the opportunity to have some very good and somewhat unique food for breakfast this morning at Three Hearts. I will address two concerns I had first and then get to the good stuff. My only marks on negative side of the ledger may only apply to a few folks. The on street parking on MLK Way can be tough to find and there is lots of local traffic including Sound Transit street train. We got very lucky and found two spots just three businesses down. My second concern is the metal chairs used for dining are not a good fit for my 3x body, and can be uncomfortable rather quickly. Most regular folks will have no problems. All of the menu items which is why you come to Three Hearts were absolutely fabulous. We enjoyed some pastries, muffins, croissants and coffee before getting to our breakfast choices. The breakfast sandwiches, savory Dutch baby, quiche all received high marks. The service was friendly and quick even though they were busy and cook things fresh when you order. Check out their menu for the unique combinations of ingredients and variety of dishes. This is a place you really need to put on your bucket list!

What an absolutely adorable, quaint restaurant. There's an awesome vibe in there as soon as you step in, felt very "Tacoma" which I appreciated! Also, as a vegetarian it's hard for a breakfast to impress me. The tofu scramble was a 10/10 and the best I've ever had. So much so, I'm going again with friends in a couple weeks to get the same exact order! As far as service, it definitely was a little slow. But they were sweet and it was a busy morning for them, and it is still very much a worth it! Just a small note, I also got the Tacoma Fog, it wasn't hot when it got to me. More lukewarm. Unsure if it was supposed to be like that? Still delicious though.

We stopped by on a Sunday morning and it was super packed. We sent one of our party in search of a table so that we would have a place to eat while the rest waited in line. The line was slow as many customers seemed unsure of what they wanted. The staff handled everything with friendly smiles and as quickly as possible. The place is super cute and I loved the Gertie mural on the wall! We put our order in and because it was busy they let us know it would take 25 minutes or so. The cashier was informative and friendly. We ordered two savory egg sandos and build your own breckie along with a matcha and two seasonal drinks. I was tempted by the Seedlip marg but reined it in for breakfast. The two specialty coffee drinks were fantastic! The matcha was excellent as well. The sauce the came with the potatoes was awesome - one of the best we've had. The savory egg sandos were also great. A+ on the food. Do yourself a favor when in Tacoma and give them a try.

I cannot say enough about this fantastic place. Headline: FLAVOR. I had the hash and a chai. The chai is made in house and it is spicy on a level that satisfies and delights. The hash had flavor and a wonderful texture that was unique. I have never had the like. The service was both authentically friendly and knowledgeable. The space itself is decorated beautifully- it has that 90s PNW feel but has also brought contemporary elements in. Really wonderful experience.

Very nice in-house pastries and a decent latte made for a nice morning. Seating's a bit tight but that's fine. Very pleasant staff, mellow environment. Good place to come back to whenever we're back in Tacoma.

Made in house Chai and chicken sausage and egg sandwich

Love this spot for breakfast and lunch! Go on Mondays and avoid the lines. My go to is Chai (made in-house) and the chicken sausage and egg sandwich. You really can't go wrong as everything is delicious. The team is amazing and welcoming and don't forget to pay it forward with a coffee for the board

Come hungry! This breakfast and lunch restaurant has some huge breakfast sandwiches. We ordered a couple cocktails, the chicken sausage sandwich, and savory sandwich. The sandwiches were stuffed and full of flavors. They were quite savory. But if you dont like savory things, they also of sweet items too. They have a display case full of yummy looking pastries. I wish I had more room to also order pastries but it was already alot of food for 2 people. I will definitely come back for their ham croissants and giant cinnamon roll. The restaurant is small and the tables are all close together. So be prepared to get cozy with your neighbors.

My cousins and I decided to grab lunch after our cycling class, and we pulled up around 10:30-11 AM and let me tell you, this place stays PACKED. Every time I looked up, there was a line out the door, which already told me we were in for something good. The café itself is super cute cozy, airy, and just a whole vibe. Their menu is stacked with good options. We ordered the huevos rancheros, savory egg sandwich, and the Hilltop Dutch Baby, and everything was delicious, but OMG LISTEN... you HAVE to get the huevos rancheros. That dish was the star. No questions asked. Their matcha is fire, and of course we treated ourselves to some mimosas because balance if you are planning to have a group of friends eat there.. good luck during the busy times cause it does get packed and another thing you do bus your own table, but honestly, I get it... they are BUSY busy. If I'm ever in the Tacoma area again, I'd 100% swing by for a quick brunch or lunch bite. Just a heads up parking is rough. Overall busy for a reason, cute aesthetic, amazing food. Add it to your list!

Fun spot, very trendy. The bahn mi was great, loved the fresh baguette. I just think it could have benefited from some more herbs and jalapeño as you'd find at Vietnamese joints. The chai whoopie pie was also good but I again wish it had more of kick. The buttercream filling was delicious though.

Went here for the first time and Sunday morning at 10:30 it was packed with a line of eight people waiting to make their selections. I ordered a chocolate croissant and let me tell you, the lamination was unbelievable. If you don't know what that is, Google it! My friend ordered the curry tart and said it was excellent. A banana muffin was not completely baked through but Will, the owner, not only went back immediately to tell his baker, but pulled the rest of the muffins from the case and gave us another pastry of our choice. Now that's good customer service and also taking criticism sincerely. Great vibe!

Great spot to try!! Reviews looked good and they have an octopus and hearts, two of my favorites SO I had to! I'm not from here. Parking was on the street. Inside is cool in temperature. There's a fair amount of seating inside and two 2 seater tables outside. I ordered the Dutch baby Benedict. Delicious. The potatoes had a nice spice (light lemon tarty-ness) w the most perfect crunch! The skillet held a light, sweet bread like crust with the egg and ham. I've never had something like it before and it was tasty. Food prep time was fair for it being lunch time! The coffee was served in a glass cup i would normally use for cold drinks, (this was different to me) BUT was good. It is a self serve type place. You order, they bring the food but you grab the utensils, napkins, water, condiments and clean up after yourself. Staff was very friendly too Downside- homeless across and walking by as we sat outside. One homeless person almost spit on me as she walked angrily away from RED Elm cafe next door.

Well our first time. Cold atmosphere, order yourself and buss yourself... mmm. Coffee strong and burnt flavor to me. We shall see how food is. We picked it because of the ratings. Ok wow the food IS good. No service tho. But they do bring your food out. Wow the Dutch baby my hubby loved! The little potatoes were fantastic with bits of bacon etc in there... yum! My Sammy ... nice bread and good presentation. It was also super good! Will definitely come back for the food. It's just not a cozy place. Definitely hipster type coffee place with food. Cold steel chairs and that kinda stuff. But modern. The food makes this place. Will try a different item next time! They did have several pastries in showcase as well for coffee. Also one free refill of cup of coffee only.

For tea we had Princess Grey, Peach Oolong, and one with apple cinnamon. The Grey was the first to go empty haha It's so good. Peach Oolong is just soso. One reminder for future self and those interested in a morning of quiet piano and relaxing tea time, do book a table ahead of time! It gets quite busy especially on Saturdays.

The food is delicious, and they are very generous with it. Seriously, there isn't anything here that is not scrumptious and I left absolutely stuffed! In addition, the tea selection they have is on point! Including a smokey tea I'd never heard of that was absolutely fabulous. Don't judge this place by the outside - the decor inside is adorable, with lots of unique and fun antique pieces. The staff is extremely attentive, kind, and even fun! We didn't expect it but there was a live pianist, and he was extremely talented (and funny). My BFF and I are a bit of tea snobs; we've been to tea rooms in both England, Kirland, and Seattle; this one by far has been our favorite. I really can't say enough great things about this place. I hope we can return soon, because it might be one of my new favorite (and unique) places in Tacoma! This really made my bridal party so thank you to the entire staff - we had a great experience!

They make their syrups inhouse, and you can tell, even a basic caramel latte tasted like the most delicate, handcrafted drink. They have fun seasonals, they're a hit or miss obviously based on your preferences, but I love them all so far. My go to drink pairing is a cardamon and ginger latte. The inside is SO HOMEY. It's rare to find coffee shops that haven't succumbed to the hospital white aesthetic, so this is so refreshing on the head. It is the ideal shop to study in. The cups and plates are my favorite thing about this place. The cups are handmade and just so stinking cute. The baristas are so welcoming every single time I come in, they look like they just love their job and love to chat with the customers. The outside of the shop is a mint green which really throws me off because the inside is so cute. The parking situation is a little limited as well, there's a few parking spots near the shop and the rest is street parking. They have a large selection of pastries and some food but know that if you come in the afternoon there probably won't be much left, they go pretty quick. Amazing shop, it's a different aesthetic than what most shops are but it feeds that "homey" craving that I have when I want to study at a coffee shop.
