Healthy food at an afordable price! Rob catered our staff BBQ last week. We had BBq Chicken, Trip Tip, Potato Salad, vegan Slaw, goat cheese bisquits and Chocolate Chip Cookies. I can't comment on the food. We have a neighbor who was caring for her husband with Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease. We've been giving her what support we can, which included a gift certificate AND membership to Three Leaves Catering. The owner was responsive to a point, so we paid for $100 worth of food plus $29 (I think) for membership. But my neighbor was told she had to pay for a membership in addition to using the money we paid for her to use for food. She couldn't really afford the membership fee, and didn't have enough time or energy for more than a call or two, so I followed up with a call and several emails. Tha last email was a request for the refund of our money. We've heard nothing back for a few weeks now. The email is being delivered, not bouncing. read more

It's called Three Leaves Heritage foods and it's next to urgent care on Sebastopol road. It's all gluten and dairy free. A lot of home made fermented foods and bone broth and such too but it's all locally sourced and free range and such. The flavors are amazing and the prices are great. I really want to support them because I want this option around forever and Rob the owner is super nice. It's grab and go, just take it home and reheat it on the stove. A lot of cold salads and such too though. As much as I work, I can't always prepare everything we eat. Rob and Three Leaves mean so much to me and my husband. Over the past several years we've had a number of catastrophic events that have created an unending deluge of paperwork, sapped our energy, and left us dispirited. I love to cook but began to dread it while taking care of everything else. Back in October 2020 I remembered someone mentioning Three Leaves to me and have been going every week since then. Three Leaves operates as a CSK (Community Supported Kitchen) that's like a combination farmer's market and farm share. Each week they prepare several soups, salads, vegetable sides, main dishes, desserts, and other things. If you "join" you can also buy a "share" each week that includes a soup, salad or veggie side, main course, appetizer/sauce, and some cookies. Holy moly. Where have you been all my life? My sister recommended this place. I went in looking lost, and the gentleman behind the counter was super helpful. Explained everything about the company. Led me to the harvest salad in the end, and that did not disappoint. Everything tasted like it was just harvested 5 minutes ago (hence the name, I'm sure). The dressing was DELICIOUS! The accoutrements were so good and were not skimped on (gotta hate a salad that's 99% lettuce). I also got a gluten free cookie and it was soooo good. 10/10 in every category. Three Leaves is only open Wed. from 3-7 p.m. and Thurs 10 a.m.-2 p.m. so set a notification on your phone so you remember when to go. If you go at 3 on Wednesday, it'll be crowded but you'll get the most choices. They have everything from Chicken, Beef, and Pork with Turmeric & ginger in their Bone Broths, and they seem to always have at least one Sauerkraut in stock. Plus, a selection of entrees- whether I want something vegetarian, or fish, beef, or chicken, I can often find something that will satisfy my whole family. They also have soups and several salad choices with a pretty great mix of flavors. If you ever see the grape and mushroom salad, get it! I know it sounds like a strange combo but it is amazing! I also like to pick out unusual things for picnics and weekend travel- like chicken salad, which they make every week but there's a lot that they don't make from week to week. The seasonal food keeps it interesting. I also appreciate their cookies. They must have some busy bakers who really seem to know the gluten-free way of doing things! I like that most of their ingredients are almond flour based and not other gf mixes which give me tummy aches. Not super impressed. My mom nearly choked on a piece of metal that was inside of the loaf. Not sure if it was a staple or a twist tie, or really what it was. Thicker than a twist tie thinner than a staple. Her mouth has scratches, still. When I called the guy who called me back really couldn't care less. Him after telling him what just happened: "Oh really? Huh. I wonder how that happened? That's weird." Me: "Yeah. I wanted to give you a call because it's dangerous. Maybe you might pull those." Him: "Yeah. Uh. I don't know how that happened." Me: "Okay then........" waiting for the slightest bit of concern.... Him: "Yeah. Oh, yeah, and I'm sorry that happened." No "Oh let me replace the mediocre thing you just bought for $10 that you probably don't want to eat becuase there may be shards of metal in it." No "Hey, my whole store runs on Apple, I have your card number at my fingertips, let me refund your item." Nah.... and don't blame it on the virus. It's just basic concern for a new (or any) customer. As for the food: Grabbed a black lental loaf and some apricot-jalapeno jam. The jam isn't really a jam, but more of a sauce and tastes more of roasted bell pepper than apricot. But it's fine. The loaf was 1970's hippie style. Okay flavor. read more

I was referred to Three Leaves Foods by a friend. At first we thought we would just try one week of meals, and only pick up now and then. But, we cannot imagine passing up this wonderful food service, now that we have tried it, and, especially considering the fair price they charge. It has already saved us money, in addition to being the healthiest yummiest food EVER. We have enjoyed all of the 3 weeks since joining, and hope to never miss a week, although, we only have to order on the weeks we want to. I have digestive and chronic pain issues, along with other health problems. I have not been consistently preparing meals, let alone healthy meals. My Husband works more than full-time, and is my caregiver. He is a great cook, but can only do so much with what little time he has left after his other daily chores, etc. Because of these facts, we were eating processed foods, fast food, and restaurant food most of the time. Until we discovered Three Leaves, that is! Now, I look forward to each weeks new menu. I do not feel so overwhelmed planning my weeks meals. I only need to prepare a few meals per week, while being able to get several meals from the Three Leaves weekly offerings, and use other things they include to stretch my groceries. We have not eaten out once since starting the service. Three Leaves Foods is a Brother & Sister team of amazing Chefs. Together they prepare fresh and healthy foods, varying the menu each week. On Thursdays, my hubby, or myself, pick up our yummy dishes for the week ahead, while returning the empty jars from the previous week. Gourmet, healthy, fresh, and gluten free, heat and eat meals that taste better than any restaurant. NOTE: They are a CSK (community supported kitchen), that sources fresh organic seasonal foods locally. Nothing compares! When we stop in to pick up our order (easy to do each week, online) we have also picked up some delicious homemade Kombucha. We both love all of the food, and I am feeling improved health. My husband and I worked with Jeff and his team at Oak and Smoke for our wedding this past June (2014). We are both HUGE foodies and wanted to give our guests a great experience but we didn't want to break the bank. We didn't care about serving super fancy dishes - we just wanted really high quality ingredients, made well. Jeff delivered WAY above our expectations. We did a tasting beforehand and knew he was an awesome cook, and we loved his local, farm-to-table philosophy (he was clearly very passionate about the local farmers that he works with). But Jeff really blew us away when the food he served at our wedding was EVERY BIT as good as the food we had at our tasting. We had an outdoor wedding at a ranch that didn't have any kitchen for Jeff to use - he set up an outdoor tent, brought his own portable oven and served an amazingly tasty meal at our wedding. We got A LOT of compliments :) I have to add that I also loved Jeff's commitment to delivering excellent service - when our venue made suggestions that Jeff felt would compromise his ability to deliver a great meal and great service, he nicely let us know and explained why he would prefer to do things differently. This place has saved my life as a working mom with a baby and 2 year old. Come Thursday we are usually out of groceries so I get over to three leaves to stock up on entrees made with local veggies and meat, stone ground nut butters, gluten free cookies and all sort of goodies. I cannot say enough great things about Oak & Smoke. Jeff & his crew provided drop-off meals to our rental home in the wine country in July, where a group of 10 of us from all over the U.S. met for the weekend for my husband's surprise 50th birthday celebration. Although we live in Illinois, Jeff made planning this very special weekend in California a breeze. To start with, Jeff was responsive to all of my emails from the get-go and always responded in a timely fashion, in fact, most times the same day I emailed him. Very quick responses. Every single meal was absolutely fantastic, I mean each and every bite, and all of our guests raved about how great the food was. We had some big eaters in this group, and there was plenty of food to go around, plus enough for leftovers & midnight snacking. I was really impressed with their punctuality of delivering the food at the times requested. They would text or call when they were on their way, and always arrived in a timely fashion. And last, but not least, Jeff & his helper were extremely polite and courteous and took ample time to explain all the food they had delivered. We were introduced to Jeff's amazing food at our friend's wedding the year before our wedding. In that time another pair of friends also used Jeff's services to rave reviews. Working with Jeff was a pleasure from initial tasting to the last delicious leftover bits we devoured once we were back home. Our wedding was at a very remote location, almost an hour down a dirt road. Jeff and his crew brought an entire mobile kitchen to the location and fed us for the whole day, not just dinner. Jeff and his team provided an absolutely perfect evening for my guests. My mom asked me (at the last minute) to throw her a birthday party. THANK YOU SO MUCH to Jeff and his incredible crew. They catered our wedding in San Mateo's Central Park in early August and it was such an absolute pleasure to work with him... from the very first email exchange, all along the way, to the event (which was a success, largely thanks to Jeff and his crew). Jeff was incredibly mellow, grounded, and thoughtful--which goes a long way in the midst of crazy wedding planning. He worked with our taste and food preferences, as well as our request to have no soy or dairy, and developed a menu that we were very excited about. We did a sampling that was such a pleasure, both because of Jeff's casual yet highly responsible demeanor and because the food was delicious. Then he came down for a site visit with his main helper guy and went over everything, including details we had not thought of, and offered help in ways above and beyond what was expected--from help with set-up, to help with the bar... the list goes on. The event went so incredibly smoothly, from passed starters, to the buffet dinner, to cake and toasts. All this within our budget... AMAZING. The only problem was that the food was so incredibly tasty that everyone wanted to eat ALL OF IT and had to pace themselves so everyone got enough... though he did provide plenty of food for the number of guests we had, people just wanted more because it was so yummy. The food really does make the event! So many of our guests also complimented the wait and server staff. They were really on it and all with a chill, highly appreciated, vibe. Five stars is an insult. What Rob, Celosia, and their crew do is nothing short of miraculous. Every week they trick me by transforming healthy food into something that I actually eat BY CHOICE AND ENJOY! I actually opt for their food now over my evening burrito run. In fact, I can say that I like Brussels sprouts now! Yeah, Mom... you hear that?! And who knew the joys a Jerusalem artichoke could bring when cooked to perfection? Wednesdays have turned into my favorite day of the week (that's when I pick up my weekly share). I have actually LOST weight by eating MORE good food. I feel better too! Sometimes I read the ingredients on the jar and am puzzled at how Rob is able to bring such complex flavors out of such simple, whole foods. He is a true culinary artist! I have been a member for several months now and I have yet to find a flaw. I'm just truly grateful for the service they provide. It's a quadruple win - eat healthy without sacrificing taste or quantity; eat healthy without having to lift a finger, support local food production, and the packaging is reusable glass. Jeff is an amazing caterer. His dishes are delicious and creative, with well-balanced flavors and local ingredients. Jeff patiently worked with us to create the perfect menu for our wedding, responding to our special requests willingly and offering up ideas to make them better. For instance, we suggested serving snacks in picnic baskets and not only was Jeff enthusicatic, but he hand crafted small cheese boards for each basket! The presentation was beautiful. When our 150-person party had to move into a barn because of the rain, things got a little chaotic, but Jeff and his staff were so well organized and hard working that everything with the food went smoothly.
