This review is long overdue. I probably order from this place at least twice a week. My go-to order is their egg, bacon, and cheese sandwich with an everything bagel and jalapeños with their chipotle sauce. It is delicious! Normally I go to Sonoma valley bagels for my bagel fix but they are closed Sundays so I found myself here at New York bagel. I ordered the BLT on a Asiago bagel and was NOT disappointed. So many places skimp on the bacon but not here. Craving was completely satisfied. I grabbed a large white chocolate mocha with an add shot and it was *perfect. My girlfriend and I frequently come here for the bagels and they are equal parts delicious, filling, and honestly pretty inexpensive relative to what you get. There are two ladies that work here that help me almost every time I come here and they are incredibly nice. When it's not too busy I sometimes make conversation with them and they let me practice Spanish with them as well. The mix of friendly staff and delicious food keeps me coming back here regularly. First time here. Toasted egg bagel with plain cream cheese. Toasted pesto cheese bagel with veggie cream cheese. Decent, but not my favorite in Sonoma County. I was expecting more pesto flavor from my bagel. Also, something about the consistency of the cream cheese that I didn't like. Overall good experience. I needed an authentic bagel fix. Normally buy Safeway deli bagels, which are not the greatest. Went to NY bagel. I wish they had a sign order here, because I waited at the display case to order and people cut in front and tried to order at the register. Fortunately the lady behind the counter told them I was waiting first. I had a delightful egg and sausage and cheese on an everything and it was so delish. Took a half dozen varieties home. What a local gem for me a reasonable bagel breakfast spot! We enjoyed their everything bagels ala turkey sandwich and an egg sandwich. Staff are very friendly and put up with my many questions. Fresh oj, fruit, even hamentashen aka Danish with a butter cookie type crust. During a rainy Sonoma visit day and en route to the nearby cinema to watch Bond and then headed to Costco to refuel our rental car, this family owned spot provided a homey (divey) spot to sit outside and enjoy our meal. Taste is good but, they have this young guy working there that's sooo slow to think.. I asked for a jalapeño bagel with egg, onion and pepper jack cheese. Pretty complicated huh? I guess it was for him. He asked me over and over what I wanted with a nasty attitude. The lady that was helping to make it ask him how many eggs and he said one (they always give 2 unless otherwise specified) I never said 1 egg. I've come here multiple times throughout the years, and for some reason they refuse to get notepads to take the orders. They want to memorize your order on the spot and not write it down, knowing that they always get busy.. if you see a guy that looks like this vvvv avoid him like the plague and if this kid (probably 17-21 years old) is reading this you need to shape up bud if you're in the customer service industry either fix your attitude or find a new job. P.S. unless you have photographic/immaculate memory - there's a CVS literally next-door go buy some notepads for your whole team so you can write down the orders. read more

It's tough to give a review on a bagel place when you are from NYC, the standards are just too different. I will say that the bagel tasted good and the service was great. My big miss here is the amount of lox they gave in the Lox Bagel Sand, just doesn't justify the price of the sandwich. They have a variety of bagels & cream cheese to choose from. Last time I was here I ordered an everything bagel with garlic & herb spread which was very flavorful. Today my bf & I split two bagels; the everything with vegetable cream cheese, and a blueberry bagel with honey & walnut cream cheese. The blueberry bagel is so good and full of flavor. I'd like to try the honey & walnut cream cheese on a plain bagel next time. I've noticed most orders are to go here, but they have some seating available inside & outside. The breakfast sandwiches were not worth getting. You could get a microwave frozen meal from the grocery store with the same effect. They microwave'd the whole thing there right in front of you. They don't even try to hide it. The ingredients were on par with sub standard junk food. It was not the effect that i was looking for. The bagel however was decent, i would have preferred a bit more flavor. I had the sundried tomato and it reminded me of pizza. Not to bad, but could be a bit more fresh and fluffy. read more
