I recommend Don Luis to everyone! My husband and I moved up from SoCal about three years ago and Don Luis has been our go-to bakery. Their tres leches cake is our favorite (we get one every year for our birthdays) the strawberries one is THE BEST! I also take conchas every year to work for an annual event and the students love them. Just yesterday I ordered 200 conchas and they had them prepped and ready for me to pick up before I got there. This is my 2nd time in and wow.... Walking in smelled amazing and pleased to say it was very clean. I am impressed on how good the Mexican sweet bread is! I always seem to catch them when they have a fresh batch of bread out and very delicious. I was greeted by the owner he seemed very nice. There's a new bakery in town and it's pretty fabulous. Although it carries primarily Mexican baked goods (which I love) there are other goodies to choose from. I got some of the mini cannolis and the cream filling was delicious. The prices are also quite reasonable. I picked up a few other favorites and found them all very tasty. This is a small new bakery in town. I've been watching for their opening and was pleased to see that they are now open for business. It is set in the back of a small shopping area. I have been going to This Bakery since it opened on day one! I also have used them for my son birthday Cake , and let me tell you , they do a great job on the decorations ,and to top it off the cakes are delicious . The Customer service was great and the owner was super friendly and very helpful and helping me pick cake ideas . I must say the bread there is one of my favorite in town ! We preordered a cake for 11/05, my husband got there to pick up and the cake was not ready. They had written down for 6th. He then has to wait until the lady comes back to the bakery to finish the cake. We ordered strawberry fruit inside the layers and instead they gave us strawberry mousse. We also asked for the cake to be extra moist and it was barely moist. We had gone days prior to taste their cake and that one was actually moist, which is why we chose to try this place. I called Luis last week Sunday in a panic because I volunteered last minute to bring a cake for my friend's baby shower. He told me to come in during the week...I was on a business trip so I sent my husband in...and Luis was so patient waiting for me to communicate to my husband via text of what I wanted. I asked for a "naked" style cake for pick up on Saturday and it was ready, on time, and exactly what I wanted (showed pictures). We had asked Luis' opinion on flavor. He recommended the coconut dolce de leche and let's just say...the pregnant mama-to-be cried tears of joy of how good it was. I personally don't like cake...but given everyone's reaction, I tried it and I am now a huge fan of (this) cake. I know they are a newish business and everyone should give them a shot-they have officially won me over. Luis and team, thank you so very much!
