The location of Three Monkeys Cafe is so quaint and cozy ~ the outside patio is beautiful and usually crowded but this is no surprise. We are huge fans of their perogies ~ the count is five, and they are tremendously stuffed with potato/cheese, topped with a very generous amount of crumbled bacon and scallions. These perogies are perfection. The cheesesteak eggrolls are good, very filling with a nice, crispy outside shell. I do wish Three Monkeys would serve the eggrolls with another dipping sauce along with the Spicy Ketchup Sauce. The Apple Walnut Salad is delightful. The cheesesteak dip is a must try! One of my favorite appetizers I've ever tried. What a great place to meet for lunch or dinner. The bar area is fun and casual. The dining area is a bit tight but they also have a great patio outdoor area. Decorated in a tropical jungle theme (thus their name). The service was excellent and the food was delicious. All three dishes were excellent. We met for lunch. It was a bit loud but still ok to have a conversation. I had the chicken and waffle, my husband had the Richmond which was kielbasa, egg, cheese, hash browns, and bacon jam on a roll. Came here for a quick lunch that took longer than it should have. Place seems very nice and looks like an awesome place to have a quick after work get together. 1) Place was cleaned and welcoming. Lots of art on the walls. Very nice! 2) Waitress was somewhat attentive. She seems busy and a bit overwhelmed. She took our order and it took for ever. 3) Ordered the Cowboy Burger: it took about 20-25min to come. It was delicious but why did it take so long. When orders was placed the place was not too busy but then became busy. Mahi Mahi tacos were mostly lettuce and tomatoes... too much salad in a two small soft tacos. Overall I would return again. The service was horrible, my party and I felt rushed. The waitress ignored us even when we tried to get her attention. When the chief came to hand us our food he didn't ask who got what he just placed it and got our orders confused. The burger was tasteless, dry and a pitiful excuse for a bourbon burger, the fries were decent it has a nice crush when bitting into. waited 45 minutes to be served glass. they don't take reservations so we waited about 45 minutes for brunch. the BEC eggrolls were OK but the eggs seemed foamy which i wasn't a fan of. i got a burger which was decent but nothing to rave about, i didn't get much horseradish or bacon jam like it was described. the chips it came with were also super bland my biggest bone to pick is that my husband's glass of water had pieces of glass in it. he cut his tongue and we flagged it to the server and all she did was comp one beer for us. what if he had swallowed it?! i get accidents happen but the manager or someone should have come and apologized because god knows what would have happened. ridiculous read more

Went for brunch with some family on a Sunday. Plenty of parking near by. I could have done with less Old Bay Seasoning in my Bloody Mary. My breakfast skillet wasn't too great either. Mushy and bland . My wife had the sirloin steak eggs benedict, which was a bit better. My daughter had the kids pancakes with sprinkles, which also apparently came with a dead fly. Mistakes happen, I get it. But when they brought out replacement pancakes they were super undercooked. I didn't even bother to mention it at that point, as we all lost our appetites. We decided to pop in for dinner because it's so close to the house and we wanted to try it. Upon walking in, we weren't acknowledged right away by anyone. There were a total of 3 women who worked there near the hostess area and we were only acknowledged after I spoke up. We were then told it'd be a 15 minute wait for a two person table outdoors, but we were more than welcome to sit at the bar inside in the meantime. No worries -- we sat at the bar. Again, it took a while for us to be acknowledged and served even though we were only one of 3 parties at the bar. Twenty minutes pass and I no longer see the woman who told us it'd be a 15 minute wait so I got up to look for her. She was nowhere to be found-- I guess she ended her shift or took a break - who knows. Since we had been seated at the bar, we saw other parties being seated outdoors so I asked again if we could be seated at a table outside. Another wait. Fast forward another 10 minutes, we're finally seated at a table outside. Our waitress barely acknowledged us. The only saving Grace was the food was absolutely delicious even though the burgers were over cooked (we asked for medium and received well done). We didn't bother pointing it out because the service was so bad. Everyone either ignored us or seem bothered. It didn't help that we were 1 of two Black parties there. Idk. Wonderful atmosphere with fun, outdoor seating. Street Tacos with salmon were great and prepared with fresh ingredients. Salad with flank steak was good with generous portions. Drinks were good. Service was fine. Crab guacamole left something to be desired considering it was $15 for a small bowl of completely flavorless guac, with flavorless plain crab thrown on top and about 10 stale tortilla chips. Nothing about that appetizer appeared to be actually made in a kitchen but rather from a jar, can and bag. Considering the tacos were good, flavorful and generously prepared, it was strange that the appetizer was so dismal. Women's bathroom stalls are so tight and cramped, even though I'm a fairly petite person, I struggled to do anything in the stall, like actually move. I have no idea how a disabled or a larger person can use that bathroom. I didn't check but hopefully there is a more user friendly bathroom somewhere else on site. read more

I actually thought I reviewed this place a while back but I guess I didn't. This place some quirks that are amazing! The spicy ketchup, the cheesesteak rolls, the many wing flavor and preparation options!!! Oh my, I love it! I often get the salmon, the rolls and a different flavor of wings every time I order but they're well made and delicious! I def recommend them as they always have good food. I've also dined in once or twice and each time the drinks are good and the place is packed so they're pretty good and many think so! My daughter suggested we try this place and I was excited to see many menu items that looked great. Parking was easy outside. Upon entering the bar area, I immediately noticed how loud it was. I hoped we would be seated in the other room. We weren't but were far enough so that the sound wasn't deafening. We both ordered Diet Pepsi. They were flat. We told our server and she said ok I can add some club soda. WHAT??? No thanks. My daughter got a sprite which was also flat. I got iced tea which was fine. For food, we started with cheesesteak egg rolls. They came out quickly and were piping hot. You get two eggrolls cut in half. One of the eggrolls was tasty and full of meat and cheese. The other had hardly any filling in it. My daughter got the buffalo chicken wrap and really enjoyed it. The fries were hot and delicious. She got a side of ranch and said it was really good. I got the loaded pierogies. I was disappointed. They were barely warm. They had lots of onion and bacon on top, but they were swimming in oil. I couldn't understand that. I ate only two. My daughter tried a bite and immediately noticed the oil. We finished up with the chocolate lava cake. It was small but yummy. Driving through Philly to get back to NJ, I came across this place on Yelp. The name is what got me. The pictures had a cute outdoors area and fun decorate inside. It was only the two of us, so no wait. The building looks to be a house that was turned into a restaurant. From the looks of the area, you didn't have many options because this was located in a residential area. For a Sunday morning, this place was pretty busy. When you walk in, there is a pretty good size bar. We were seated in another room and waited a bit for a waiter. The menu is pretty small but the options were out of the box. It's nice not seeing the same old food items for breakfast. We both decided on small plates to share. Sliders and egg rolls. Both pretty good but we favored the eggs rolls. This place has the best wings of all time. Both the house hot sauce and honey buffalo are 10/10. Plus, they come with homemade blue cheese that sends them over the top. This place has been on my list for over a year now. Glad we finally got to try it last week. The food was surprisingly good. We loved everything we ordered, the Cheesesteak Rolls, Buffalo Chicken Wrap and Pierogi (Best I ever had!). We sat outside which was really peaceful and relaxing. If you like Cuban/Cubano sandwiches, order up! The monkey cuban is so good. The pork is tender, ham is great, mustard, pickles... I'm drooling. Love their fries, miss their chips. They used to have cheesesteak nacho homemade chips that were insane, now I think it's King Kong tots, which are good, just not the same. I have only been here a few times, parking can get a bit hard the later you go. I love that they have outside seating & it's decorated really cool. There's also a side bar and then there's a main bar/ restaurant. They offer brunch during the weekend. The food is a bit on the pricey side, but I never had a bad meal the few times I have been here. This time I ordered the turkey salad Waldorf wrap. It was delicious and served with their truffle fries. Could have used more jam, and less burnt toast (it was the grain kind that will tear up the roof of your mouth) but good balance of flavors. Home fries were just prepackaged potato pieces , but they were piping hot when they arrived. We got the breakfast egg rolls, that sriracha ketchup is no joke! Delicious and hot. Drinks were bloody mary (roommate said it was ok, but watered down, maybe from the ice, but not as spicy as expected). I got the primate punch.
