It was the best meal we've had in months. The price was a bit on the higher end, but was not out of the ordinary for a restaurant of this caliber on the north side of Bethlehem. Food is fair- was disappointed after reading the reviews. We had the steak that cooks at the table- supposed to be a 600 degree slab it cooks on right in front of you. It obviously was not hot enough- it didn't even sear the steak. After taking too long & it was obvious it wasn't going to cook on the slab we sent it back for them to grill in the kitchen- after that it was fine but not seasoned at all- just a plain lice of steak. Twisted Olive is definitely one of my favorite restaurants. They have a great bar and restaurant area that is open yet quiet. The artwork is amazing and the lighting is perfect. It's great for dates because this is where my girlfriend and I had our first dinner together in 2021. Veronica, our incredible server, took care of us. She fielded any questions with ease and her recommendations were exceptional. My girlfriend loved her cosmopolitan and my martini with blue cheese stuffed olives was phenomenal. The artichoke and spinach dip was both plentiful and flavorful. The tuna tartare was a bit dry yet delicious. But that grilled octopus was on a completely different level of flavor and texture. Twisted Olive is such a cute and welcoming place. It was super close to our hotel and did Saturday lunch, which we appreciated. Staff was incredibly friendly and attentive and even though there weren't many people when we first arrived, you could tell it had a fun vibe. It was filling up as we left. I had the pasta primavera and it was rich and delectable. I added shrimp which were perfectly cooked. I didn't think I was going to finish it but I did. My partner enjoyed his chicken panini. The fries were excellent. We both want to return on our next Bethlehem trip to try the pierogi and some cocktails. I also think their salad options look good. Came here three weeks ago for dinner. Location was great, right across the street from our hotel! The ambience was nice, place was busy but the service was still great. Zahir was our waiter and he was training someone that night. We went in wanting to try a few small dishes and possibly sharing an entree. The appetizers were actually bigger than expected, which made us happy and since we had so many, we did not have room for a regular entree. The menu was really interesting, in a very good way. We tried the crab bisque, which was nice, the smoked brisket in blue cheese sauce, very good, thought the blue cheese might be too strong but it wasn't. We split a Caesar salad, very good. Had the Short Rib Ravioli, really enjoyed this dish. Had the French onion soup with the dumplings, this was nice (a little salty but still good) and we were already getting full. There was definitely a "twist" to all our dishes and all were uniquely different. Our daughter had pizza, which was pretty good and a chocolate ball dessert, brownie and chocolate mousse in it? Kudos to the chef, the staff and even the manager, who stopped by the table and chatted with us. Yesterday we sat outside. They have very good outdoor heaters when it's a little colder outside.Although we did smell gas coming from the building in which I asked the manager to check to make sure there wasn't a tank leaking. The bathrooms consist of a single separate bathroom for both men and women which there was a line. They are not handicap accessible. They are small rooms with a single toilet and sink. They were clean though. I ordered a meatloaf sandwich with French fries. I also had an Espresso Martini. The meatloaf was pretty good,the bread was toasted perfectly. The fries were pretty tasty as well. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and professional. The lunch menu had options for most but there weren't a ton of options to pick from. The dinner menu had more things to choose. This place is on Broad Street so there's ton of people watching. Also they do get crowded so be prepared to wait. Mother's Day: Food and server were very good. But they told us ahead of time "you are slotted for 1 hr 45 mins" at the table because we're very busy. Our food did not even arrive until 1 hr and 45 mins after we sat down. Waiting nearly two hours for food is unacceptable, despite a booked schedule. It means you overbooked. We have been to Twisted Olive several times and have always enjoyed everything we've ordered. The drink menu has many creative cocktails to choose from and never leaves us disappointed. We usually order the french onion soup dumplings or the twisted blue brisket to share, or have soup as an appetizer. The french onion and crab bisque are always great choices! Today I ordered the bacon wrapped pork mignon as my entree - the meat was tender, the spring roll was crispy, and the bok choi was cooked well. My girlfriend ordered the grilled ribeye, it was cooked medium rare as requested and was extremely tender and well-seasoned with a heaping side of garlic mashed potatoes. I was upset they put raisins into Kale salad for lunch today, which is not even an ingredient of this salad. Kale salad did not have shaved pecorino cheese, which IS an ingredient of this salad. They put powdered cheese on salad instead. Waiter said I should have let him know, he would have fixed it. But he didn't check on us until much later, even though there was only one other table with two people for him to wait on. Did not enjoy pierogies as much as last time. Did not care for Whiskey Sour. The staff were all friendly and helpful - we started off sitting outside but got moved inside just before rain started. We sat by the windows and had a great view of the area. Risotto for the lamb and mashed potato for the ribeye; seasonal steamed veggie with both. We can't imagine the dishes without these sides. My boyfriend and I went on a date night after work. (The Twisted Olive happens to be walking distance from my apartment!) We decided to check it out because of how close it is and we heard good things about the resturant. I was pleasantly surprised by how good everything we had was. The food was EXCELLENT. I mean, everything we had was terrific. We started off with the three soup sampler, then ordered the crispy shrimp. For our entrees we just decided to order the margarita pizza and a large Cesar salad with chicken. We shared everything and enjoyed every bite! We ate all of our food and we left happy with full bellies. The sauce on the crispy shrimp was sort of a sweet and sour sauce with a little spice to it. It was so tasty. The chicken on the Cesar salad was grilled just right, juicy and delicious. The margarita pizza was terrific. It tasted wood fired, with crispy crust and delicious sweeter red sauce! The soups were probably one of my favorite items. Each was so delicious in its own way. What I liked best about the crab bisque was that it had large chucks of crab meat in it! Dinner with hubs before a show at the Wind Creek Casino. Was able to make my reservation using OpenTable, which was nice. They had a decent amount of eclectic appetizers and dishes but nothing too overwhelming. We got the lamb meatball appetizer, which was actually amazing. My husband was a little unsure as it came out, covered in a white creamy sauce, which was yogurt. It was very very good. The lamb meatballs were very delicious. my drinks were well-made. Definitely worth nine dollars. I had the marinated chicken which was absolutely delightful. The chicken was paired with wilted greens and rice. It was all very delicious with a caper sauce and black olives. Couldn't ask for anything better. My husband had the Thai salmon, which came with a seaweed salad, and forbidden rice. The seaweed salad was a little offputting for him as the texture wasn't something he was fond of. The salmon was good, and the forbidden rice was decent. We then had the toasted almond espresso cake with vanilla ice cream which was delicious, maybe a tad bit dry. Very enjoyable atmosphere music wasn't too loud. David was our waiter. He was amazing.
