Hands-down, one of the best meals we've had in a long while. I judge a restaurant sometimes by whether I could get close with my own cooking. And there is zero chance I could do any of these. Which is all to say that while this place is pricey, is totally worth it there was not a miss with anything we got. I would go again in a heartbeat. This was one of the best meals I've ever had. My first tasting menu, it was very unique, in a good way. There wasn't anything we didn't like. I went with a friend that had a Gluten allergy, they came out with special plates, just for her to accommodate for the things she couldn't have. I appreciate the communication from the GM about minor lactose intolerance. They were great to consider needs. The restaurant is beautiful and their hosts, servers, and runners are professional and knowledgeable. The food was very good. Nothing came out wrong or off but of course this menu is small and family style... so frankly it's not that hard. The 4 of us spent over $100/head with drinks and this is why the 3 stars: -they were fairly pushy about moving us on out after an hour and twenty minutes. At the price we paid i had hoped to feel wanted and not turned over like its a busy dive bar -at $100 a head I would hope for unique takes or over the top execution of original plates and frankly I didn't find that here. We've eaten all around Italy, Greece, Croatia, etc.... This food is very good but value is important and I just don't find good value here for a very good but straightforward prix-fixe menu. -required and pre-charged gratuity on a table of 4 takes away a star immediately. Perhaps I may have tipped even more than the 20% they charged but the fact it was forced with no prior warning was a sour taste at the end of a good meal. I won't return for that reason alone. -the portions were actually not that much! None of our party was actually full at the end. They bring out small portions of several dishes but all 4 of us were surprised as we expected to leave quite full based on other reviews. My friend was visiting from New York and I wanted to bring her for something she had never tried. Normally I do a ton of research but I saw pictures of the food in a Facebook foodie group where everyone was raving about Albanesi so I didn't look at the menu or their website. I just made the reservation. Atmosphere: I walked in and was shocked at how beautiful the restaurant is! Every detail is warm, yet elegant. They also have a downstairs to the restaurant where you can eat or drink. It has totally different, but still nice, vibes. Service: EXCELLENT. Everyone from the gentleman that served water to the lady who took a knife to the tablecloth to clear crumbs between courses, to the waitress to the manager: They were all professional and warm. We had lots of questions and we never felt like they were annoyed. The manager came over two or three times to make sure everything was good. Food: The menu had 8 dishes in the first section, three dishes in the second section, 7 dishes in the third section, 2 dishes in the 4th section and 2 dishes in the fifth section (dessert). So get this! They brought out ALLLL eleven dishes from the first and second sections! Then we had a choice of either 3 entrees from the 3rd section or 1 from the 4th section. AND THEN they brought out both desserts in the 5th section!! When I first looked at the menu, I said to my friend, "there is literally nothing on this menu that I will eat except the chicken and hummus." I put on my adventurous girl pants and tried everything and it was almost all AMAZING. There were two misses. There were meat patties (I don't know what they are actually called) that were so salty that they were inedible. My friend ordered the roasted Brussel sprouts and she said they were so peppery she couldn't eat them. I didn't try it but my friend wasn't a huge fan of the fish dish either but she did eat the leftovers for lunch the next day so it must not have been that bad. Otherwise, it was GREAT. By the time dessert came, I forced myself to eat the delicious rice pudding but just couldn't eat the brownie, no matter how much I wanted to. My friend said "It's warm! You have to eat it now!" But there was just no more room. I ate it the next day and it was delicious! Eating there was a true EXPERIENCE. Price: Drinks were extra and I think they were about $15 each...I can't remember and I didn't order one. The meal was $65 plus tax and 20% gratuity that is automatically added on. The waitress handed us the bill and let us know that the gratuity was already added in but we could add on to it if we wanted to. The service was so good, I added another 5%. Parking: I was stressing about the parking situation. I heard it is difficult to find a spot in Easton. Our reservations were for 8pm on a Saturday night. We found meter parking (which doesn't turn off until 10pm, unfortunately) less than half a block away. We paid for 3 hours to be safe and walked to the restaurant. I told my parents about the place and next time they visit, they said I must take them there...and I will! Fantastic evening. read more

If the Michelin Inspectors made it out to LV, this place clears Bib Gourmand no sweat and is easily in contention for a star. They were incredibly accommodating, whipping up a whole course of vegetarian options for my partner, as the manager caters to each party's sensibilities. The tasting menu is incredibly fairly priced for quality and sheer amount. The sweet potato hors d'oeuvres were thanksgiving bombs and the Crudo was mind boggling. The cocktails were of immense quality and the tiramisu to finish was excellent. You will not go home hungry. Ambiance is fitting, there's a possible guitar motif in the ceiling amongst the slats and chandeliers - maybe I'm just seeing things. Can't recommend enough for special occasions. read more

I have been to Albanesi a handful of times now and I finally got the chance to stop and take a second to write a review. With a monthly changing menu there is always something to look forward to here. Chris and the team have done wonders for service standards in the Lehigh Valley and to see the servers execute everything flawlessly and be as knowledgeable as they are is always a sight to behold. This is quite possibly one of the nicest restaurants in the valley which says a lot considering its small, but home-ie, vibe nonetheless. Perfect for date night or a business dinner but make sure you come hungry and prepared! We had the best experience last month (July) for my girlfriends birthday dinner. Food was 1000/10. Every single dish was so unique and honestly I don't think there was any complaint about any dish. The manager reached out before our dinner to address our dietary restriction - which was gluten free and they accommodated that without any issue at all. My wife and I have been in constant search of a great restaurant in the Lehigh Valley. All things told, I feel that there are only a small handful of true gems. Most in the area are seemingly uninspired as of late, outdated, or just not what they used to be in terms of service, atmosphere, presentation, etc. Last night we attended Albanesi and... wow this is anything but uninspired. From the moment we walked in the atmosphere was captivating. The FOH staff were so pleasant and hosted us to a sweet table for two near the open kitchen. We were greeted by our server duo and the true experience began. We ordered a bottle of wine (impressive wine list and pricing is very reasonable for the varietals you're selecting) and it was decanted meticulously at table side. This restaurant is a small plate, slow dine experience meant to envelop you in the culture of their food and love for the moment of sharing meals together. Between the courses you are tended to for preparation of next items to be presented. The immense attention to detail left us in awe. Truly. Each dish, each course, each bite was presented and crafted perfectly. 3 separate courses of delicious Balkan inspired food that made the tastebuds pop and keep going back for more. Our 3rd course we selected the tiger prawn, goulash and chicken. Heavenly. Each dish from top down was but the entrees... wow. You select from the entrees but every other course is chef selected. All of this for $65/person may sound high or very low, which I did. The servers, the chefs, the wine presentation, the atmosphere and truly the entertainment that is this restaurant is all worth the pricing and more. I have eaten at a Keller restaurant where the service was out of this world and honestly, the service at Albanesi was on that caliber. It's rare that you're still talking about a restaurant the following day, but we couldn't get Albanesi out of our minds and hearts, as our dining party happily reminisced about every minute detail of our visit. From the moment we entered the warmth of the inviting dining room, it felt as though we were being welcomed as guests in an Albanian home. From the rich, lush colors on the walls, complimented with Albanian flourishes, to the master craftsmanship of the signature Gjevukaj woodwork that frames them, we found ourselves not just "having dinner," but on a journey into the soul of Albanian culture and hospitality. Not only was the food, (four courses, served family style and finished with delectable rice pudding for dessert) visually stunning, but it provided an explosion of flavors and textures, some familiar, some exotic to the American palate. Yet with each and every dish- and there was a plethora, Albanesi never once struck a wrong note. Each offering was exquisitely plated and utterly delicious!
