These guys were easy to find, controlled turning lane and convenient location. You'll most likely find a spot and make your way into a nice area to wait (lots of couches, access to WiFi, and power if needed). I worked with Sergio - who is awesome, but I'm sure anyone there will be great to work with. Started working with them to do a diagnostic review for some specific concerns. The diagnostics were thoughtfully done, and what I liked most is that I was kept informed. There were different layers of assessment and I got an update between the two. Not only did this help to inform me, it helped the quality of assessment by opening up the questions and responses they could get from me. Super competent, super thoughtful! The quote of service then was spot on, and the duration - they did it in about half the time. Time of repairs was no different - quality, efficiency and went the extra mile in every way. I just moved here from Arizona so I had no idea where to get my car fixed. I checked out Three Points because of their Yelp ratings and I am so glad I did. I was losing water from my radiator so they pressure tested the system and discovered that one of the radiator heater hose clamps were loose. They tightened the clamp free of charge and added water to my radiator and did not take advantage of the situation. I will be a loyal customer from this point forward. Do. Not. Go. Here. Complete rip off. Bought a car from this place referred by an existing customer. We were told they handled all the maintenance for the vehicle for years. Mechanic said he would change the oil before we officially bought the car, but didn't. 3 months after purchase, the car is riding rough. We take it into 3 points and are told that we should have changed the oil... The car alarm then started going off randomly, following this the car to refuses to start. Took it back to 3 points and they have no idea why it's doing this. We look through the car manual and see highlighted areas in manual in the alarm and starter sections. This place sold us a complete piece of junk and knew it. All the while smiling and telling us that it was great car for our little family. This place has ZERO accountability. Only reason it gets one star from me is because there isn't a ZERO or negative star option. read more

I've used three points auto service for the past ten years or so. They were highly recommended by a employee at auto zone after asking about a trust worthy auto shop. I stopped by for a estimate to tighten up the stirring on my 1998 dodge ram truck. Upon talking with Cesar, he told me to just pay his mechanic $20.00 for his time on a minor stirring adjustment. I guess Cesar knew what he was doing, I've been going there ever since. Cesar and the crew have always been up front about any issue I've had with my vehicles. I started using Three Points Automotive about 3 or 4 years ago,and all I can say is they're the best automotive repair shop that I've ever dealt with. I think most people know it's a crap shoot when your vehicle has a problem, and you have to depend on the integrity of others to do the right thing. Well, I've had a couple experiences with these guys where they could have easily taken advantage of me, but didn't. I've gone to Three Points for a few years now and I have had great service from them on every occasion. Rather than advising me to fix everything on my car, they would sometimes say, "If you're keeping the car for more than a few years you may want to replace this now -- otherwise you shouldn't bother." I feel like they're my advocates rather than my adversaries. I've dealt with both James and Cesar in the front and they are both excellent and nice -- always calling when they say they will and doing things on time. Also, if necessary (and not too far away) they'll drive you to work after you drop your car off in the morning (and pick you up later in the day). I did this several times when I worked near Mopac and Duval. Now I have a new car and although I haven't needed any repairs, they are always way cheaper than getting my scheduled maintenance done at the dealer. (I just make sure I get an itemized list of what they did so I can show it to the dealer in case they try to argue with an under-warranty repair.) I would absolutely recommend Three Points. Although I now live near Slaughter Lane, I still drive all the way up north to go there since I know I can trust them. read more

My name is Donald I own a 2007 Kia Rondo I came across Three Points Automotive by accident while searching for another repair shop that had terrible ratings but good advertising on a local radio station. As it turns out I saw the ratings for Three Points Auto shocked that they did not have any negative ratings. I viewed the website and was impressed with their presentation it was just down home and real and they seem like very friendly and honest people. I had my car towed there and was surprised that they where so nice without being pretentious and not only did i get a far price for the work but I decided to have some other maintenance done and got a 10% first time customer discount but the work was done in a reasonable amount of time and they provided excellent customer service they even picked me up from the car rental shop. I can't express how much i appreciate the way they treated me and made me feel confident that that my hard earned money was being spent well and with a business that knows and understands that importance of good customer service but, being far and treating people right. read more

In the past I have used Three Points Automotive as they seemed friendly, and I felt I could trust them. Unfortunately after today I will never use them again, as they have totally lost my trust. I had my 97 Saturn SL towed to them after I was unable to shift gears. Basically as I was shifting from 1st to 2nd I suddenly could not do anything except move the gear shifter freely about. Anyway I had AAA tow the car to Three Points as I had used them before. The diagnosis James gave me was that the entire clutch was out, and it was going to be a little over $1400 to replace. As this is an old car with high miles I decided against it, and just had AAA tow it home. Well needless to say the tow truck driver for Armada Towing popped off the panel around the gear shifter and showed me exactly what was wrong. A simple small plastic part (Shifter Cable Bushing) that cost me $27 (and that includes tax), and about a whole 10 minutes of work. It was so easy I did it myself. The car drives just fine now. Needles to say I won't be going back to Three Points Automotive ever again. It is obvious they were just trying to rip me off. Makes me wonder what else they overcharged me for in the past. Sadly just because someone is nice doesn't mean they're honest. read more

I had the points troubleshoot problems with my a/c volume. I received a call back informing me that they found two issues. 1. Debri in the ducting/fan. 2. Burnt wiring to the fan unit. I was quoted $295 total for cleaning of the duct and the removal and replacement of the burnt wiring and fan (parts and labor) so I authorized it. I was told they'd call me once my car was ready. I felt comfortable with the price and labor. Later in the evening about 15 minutes before they closed, I received a call saying my vehicle was ready and that my total price was almost double. I did not make a fuss. I am going into the business tomorrow to speak with the manager and technician. Hopefully we can figure out what went wrong. To be continued. I've heard a lot of great things about Three Points. I took my son's car there over the weekend for a misfire on cylinder #2. I spoke with Sergio and I must say, I have not meet a nicer and friendlier person in the auto business for quite some time. Sergio, Sergio, Sergio.......I cannot say enough great things about him. Extremely friendly and very helpful. I told him I have a 302 code and I changed the plugs and ignition switch and still having the reading. He confirmed which one I changed and it appears I changed #3 and not #2. He asked me if I would like to check that first before trying to bring it into the shop. He provided me with a few tools and I checked it in the parking lot. He was correct, I had changed #3. He didn't charge me anything and gave me a huge smile and handshake!! Never go here! I have been several times with different vehicles. This time I took my 06 mustang with clutch noise to get diagnosed. They told me it was a bad slave/throwout bearing and they would replace it. When i went to pick up the vehicle the first time they said they replaced the throwout bearing. My car wouldn't start or go into gear. I went back the second time to pick it up and the clutch worked this time but the noise and issue was still there. They said they need more time. I went back the next time and they said they replaced the starter and i was good to go. After driving, the problem was still there. I ended up taking it to a transmission shop which diagnosed the slave/throwout bearing. After i told them that i just had that replaced they said they were so sure it was, they would drop the tranny and if it wasn't the issue they wouldn't charge me for it. They let me watch them take it apart and sure enough the throwout bearing was not new! So either 3 points didn't change the bearing or they put a bad used part in my car. Basically i paid almost $600 dollars for a starter that was working fine when i took it in. The other shop did replace the slave/throwout bearing and now my car is good as new. read more

My car had been making odd noises all week and I intended to take it in on Friday. But, my car had different plans. Thursday morning the noise was worse and my car smoked. Three Points just replaced the clutch and slave cylinder for my 2005 GTO. I was very specific about the parts I wanted installed, and they gladly worked with me on my requirements.
