Heaven! I live in New York City but I have been traveling all over across the country, from big cities to small random towns. Today my husband and I were driving down to Florida and stopped in Savannah for a short break. I looked for a bakery offering gluten free options and found this gem. First, the location is adorable: an old house, with a romantic porch, and several indoor and outdoor seating choices, to let you indulge some quiet time. Second, but most importantly... they make what I want to award as the best gluten free muffins I have eaten across USA in the last 9 years of travels! During this time of struggling business and now more than ever it's important to support local businesses. With and a strong desire for a double espresso I decided to try "The Front Porch". This was the first time I had been there and I must say I am glad I did. The decor inside left you feeling very relaxed with clean open design. As for the espresso it was well made with just the punch I needed although my wife would disagree with me needing that "punch"! LOL. I would highly recommend when in the area you give them a try as the barista was very attentive and polite and I know I will be back to try some of the treats and other coffee blends. #ThankyouThursday so thankful for this and all the other business that struggled to stay with us through this trying time and continue to deliver a wonderful experience and food! read more

Stumbled upon this sweet little coffee shop while driving from Atlanta to Savannah for a day-trip. What a gem! The space is cute, cute, cute. Open, bright, lots of seating, and (to no surprise) a really charming front porch where you can take in the small town vibes and Spanish moss covered oaks that are staples in south coastal Georgia. I stopped in when the shop was nearly dead (afternoon, a little before closing time) and got to interact with the lovely little barista team more than I would typically get to. I truly wasn't sure what to order because there were so many amazing options to choose from. I let the barista recommend something, and a young man proposed something that "he lovingly referred to as a *West Coast* because he's from California" (his words). I asked him what it was. Coca Cola + coffee + cream + some kind of sugar, I believe. The combination was interesting to me because famed Southern author Flannery O'Conner used to drink Coca Cola + coffee as her go-to caffeination of choice. I'd always wondered about that and had tried to piece together exactly what that would taste like. When the barista described it, I knew I had to try it. I had to know. He began to prepare it, and while he did, I small talked with him about the name. Having lived in California and Oregon previously, I immediately pointed out that this drink is about the last thing that anyone on the West Coast would ever think about putting in their mouth. He laughed, the way you do when you know something is so, SO dang true. I talked to him a little bit about Flannery O'Conner, and how it actually seemed to be inspired by the drink she used to down. If ever a coffee shop were to feature a drink like this, a coffee shop in Pooler would actually be the ideal location, as it's planted between the two most famed former homes of Flannery (one in Savannah, and one in Milledgeville). She was also known for writing constantly *on her front porch* in Milledgeville, making the connection even more mind-boggling to me when a barista at *The Front Porch* recommended this particular drink at random. I have no idea what came of this drink or that sweet barista, but I hope to god his concoction officially ends up on the menu there someday, if it isn't already. Drinking it was such an experience. I've never really had anything like it, and if I had regular access to a place who made what I am now lovingly referring to as "A Flannery", I could see myself becoming as hooked on them as Ms. O'Conner herself. read more

I don't usually comment on coffee however, this is special, because it has reminded of my favorite coffee. I only was blessed to go to the Hidden House Coffee in San Juan Capistrano. But this place is my new Saturday coffee spot. Chloe talked to me about it the day before I came the next day She suggested a philosophers cup in late as was as frap. It was amazing in both. She recommended gluten free chocolate chip muffin, chocolate chip cookie also gluten free. My partner and I stopped here on a road trip as we went through Georgia and can't recommend it enough. Our iced lattes were delicious, and I especially enjoyed their Myracle Milk - as a lactose intolerant person, that's the closest I've ever seen a plant-based milk come to the taste of cow's milk! 8/11/19 - 9:15am - party of one I stopped by early Sunday morning for a good coffee and was surprised how crowded the place was just a few minutes after it opened. Lots of people sitting on the porch, main room was full of cute little girls ready for church. The shop is tastefully decorated but a bit too bright for my coffee lounging plans so I got the coffee to go. After a lengthy wait, I ordered a cocamo latte - coconut and mocha. $6 was too much for a 20 oz cup. At first sip, I could taste the coconut which was my main interest in the drink but the mocha was overpowering. It tasted like cocoa powder - kind of bitter. read more

Went in for the first time today and I will be back again and again! The coffees and pastries are just lovely! We got an iced flower girl latte omg yum! If you like things that have a little bit of a floral taste, this is the drink for you. Next up we got the That's My Jam latte frozen, very good. It's on the sweeter side and the blackberry flavor really comes through. We also had a savory bacon, garlic and cheese biscuit, they are quite large but very tasty, like if a Red Lobster biscuit added bacon to it. Egg and Cheese biscuit, my husband loved it, especially since they peppered the egg. Pumpkin muffin and Lemon Blueberry muffin were very good, the lemon blueberry was our favorite with tons of big juicy blueberries. I almost don't even want to write the review for this coffee shop. It was so amazing and I don't want it to get any bit more crowded than it is! So Yelp community I am sacrificing myself to tell you about my new favorite coffee shop. Unlike being downtown they have a whole little parking lot. So no struggling to find street parking, paying to park, or struggling to parallel. The whole shop is in the cutest little house with not sure if you could guess this but a wrap around, huge front porch! This place is seriously the cutest. It is charming with christian music playing on a Sunday! Coffee was great and they had tons of flavors and mixed coffee drinks to try. The baristas were knowledgable and friendly. The shop has multiple different rooms all with so many windows. The entire place is light and bright. Multiple rooms also cuts on sound so one room may be louder than the next for studying or socializing! ATTENTION ALL MOMS there is a play room in the back. A local coffee shop that Pooler really needed- it's basically a big house turned into a coffee shop with a great vibe. There is plenty of room here for everything from enjoying a cup of coffee on the patio to doing your homework in one of the rooms and there's even a kids room! I tried the expresso and chai latte, both were good and they carry both almond and coconut milk options. They also offer some quiche options from the Pie society and some muffins and pastries- I didn't try any but they looked good. There is parking available in the back or you can park on the grass. Visited this spot for a client meeting while my office was under renovations, and I'm only sad I didn't find this place sooner! I have been meaning to try this place since it opened but I don't live near it. I finally had an excuse to go! First of all, this place is super cute and inviting. This is absolutely the type of place you can come and spend some time. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I let them know it was my first time and they walked me through the menu. I tried a decaf white chocolate mocha and it was delicious! Even made a beautiful leaf with the cream. I also got a lemon and blueberry muffin. I have heard good things about the muffins but I personally was not a fan, it seemed doughy to me. I ate a few bites but did not finish it. If I am in the area I would go here again, maybe try a different baked good. I do recommend giving this place a try. read more

Stopped here on a road trip from Florida heading north. This is an adorable little coffee shop in an old house with a big welcoming front porch. The folks working here were very friendly and helped me decide among their drink specials. At the barista's recommendation, my mom and I tried the flutter nutter special. I tried it iced, she tried it hot. It's nutty with a nice berry flavor- definitely a spring flavor! I'm not normally into flavored coffees, but I loved this & so did my mom. My husband also enjoyed his "smooth and buttery" cold brew. Love the ambiance but my latte was way too sweet. I came here looking for a place to do some writing on a Friday morning. Initially I wasn't sure I had the right place, but yes, it's a converted house-to-coffee-shop! There is plenty of space inside or outside on the wrap-around porch. You can pick a long table to collaborate or a small table in one of the side rooms. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they use Three Tree coffee. (I love this place up in Statesboro, so it might have biased my opinion of the drink.) I went with their Flower Girl which is a latte with vanilla and lavender. I ordered a 12oz in an in-house mug. The temp was nice and hot but it had way too much sweetener. I got about halfway through and had to go back for more steamed milk to offset it. Maybe they put in as much of reach sweetener as they normally would for the 12oz? They unfortunately had no gluten-free food so no snacks for me. Next time: I'll ask for half the syrup. read more

Front porch is slowly sneaking its way up to my top choices for coffee shops in the Savannah area. It's different from a handful of the other coffee shops in Savannah and around but I'm a good way. It's light and bright and makes you feel almost at home. Very welcoming interior and of course, a huge wrap around front porch. It's not a bad spot for us on Sundays when we need to catch up on studying or just enjoy some quiet time. The coffee they source mostly from Three Tree Coffee Roasters out of Statesboro and Wake Up roasters our of Brunswick. 3Tree actually roasts the front porch house blend! Make sure you get a cup, it's pretty good. They have many other drinks as well tho for those that aren't as much as coffee fanatics as me lol. I really like the concept and execution of this coffee shop. I'm probably not the norm, I do not like crafted drinks, sweets for the most part, nor spend much time in coffee shops. I am a huge fan of strong black coffee, however. The Front Porch's cold brew is the best around, consistently strong w/ great flavor and tons of JOLT! I have experimented with their drip coffee and french press and found it to be a little on the weaker side, but again my barometer for strength and boldness is not normal. In addition to the quality of product the service and atmosphere is great. You always feel welcome. So glad this place exists and gives us options in town outside of Starbucks and their putrid service/inconsistencies. read more

There was only one barista working but we got our order quickly and she didn't skimp on the details in the foam even when she was hurrying to get everyone's orders completed.
