The customer service representatives are rude and disrespectful. They sold me a car that was a refurbished title on it and never disclosed it. I obtained it still but the insurance on the vehicle was super high. No one would tell me until I did my own research that the vehicle was totaled out and retitled as clear but wasn't. Through the whole 3 years I've paid over $15000 plus dollars in payments not including the monthly CPI payments. Please don't fall for their lies and false informatio. My car had transmission problems on day 2. Now to be fair they "fixed" it. But the theft of my insurance money. Let's talk about that. One of the representatives there stated that she could help me with the insurance if I were to pay her she would go ahead and use the service that she uses to get my insurance I paid her via cash out. I waited for the paperwork I got it. Got a call and an email from the insurance company stated they only have a couple of days to pay my premium or they will cancel my insurance. And if you know anything about car lots if they cancel your insurance they pick up your car. I called in to speak with the representative she stated she would call me back still waiting on that call. I called the company themselves and now I'm still waiting for a call back however her name I will not divulge right now but I have until 5:00 p.m. tonight for a response if not I am calling the police and sending them to the car lot and I will be putting her name in face on this site. read more

We saw a car we like, sign papers then it hit bout the insurance. Now we were needing an sr 22 form. Joe kept telling us that we don't need that that they have insurance that will have full coverage for us. I kept telling him that we are in need of sr22. He said " no" turns around and kept pointing at the sign. " with our insurance you will have full coverage and no need to worry." So we said okay, since we didn't want to sit in the office calling the insurance companies. ------- November ------- We have been driving around with paper plates for 6 months. Now it has been a hassle and we were wondering why I called and ask why , they said WE DO NOT HAVE THE TITLE TO THE CAR. That's right folks, THEY SOLD ME A CAR WITHOUT A TITLE. No title!!!! Now we had ask for our money back. They wouldn't allow it. We have been back and forth with them. Thrifty Motors is not a very good place to buy a car once they get your money they treat you like trash!! They ask you to go on there website and write a good reviews to get a full tank of gas, then they tell you will get free oil changes for the life of the of the contract but when you try to request a free oil change your told the is a three month waiting list "lies" NOW let me give you my experience I purchased a Chrysler 300 on November 28th 2018 the next day I got up to go to work I walked in my garage and proceeded to push the alarm button the car will not open so I called Thrifty Motors they sent a locksmith out that was supposed to rekey the car and give me a new keys to the vehicle I was assured this problem would not happen again!! Well on March 6, which was my birthday, I was at work I want to take my break I want to my car push my alarm button again the same problem again, I was not able to get in my vehicle I called Thrifty Motors spoke with the service manager he said that he would send a locksmith out that initially did the first work on the vehicle in November so the same locksmith came out again and opened the vehicle again, he assured me that this problem wouldn't happen again!! here it is April 25th I go to open my vehicle same problem I cannot unlock the vehicles I called Thrifty Motors and make them aware of the situation of not being able to get into my vehicle, I spoke to the service department they made me aware that they had done all they could do for me for this problem I spoke with the payment department! she hung up the phone in my face I WAS TOLD IT WAS NOT HER PROBLEM!! I called a Chrysler dealership and spoke with them about the problem that I was having I was told by a Chrysler specialist that whoever the first locksmith that initially did the rekey on the car did not do their job because the small key should allow me to manually get in the car I have the small key that they gave me when they sold me the car I have the key that the locksmith gave me at the time of him supposedly rekeying the car neither one of the keys work I was told by the payments department and the service department that they had done all they could do for me and I was responsible at this point for replacing the keys and doing the work all over again at my cost or I had to pay another $50 for each time the car would not open and I was hung up on I requested to speak to the owner or upper management , I was told they would past my information on to that person! Don't buy from here. They are liars and will say anything to get your money. They told me that they do not sale cars that have been wrecked. I found out that my car was in a head on collision after my 30 warranty. They didn't care. It wouldn't pass an inspection so one of the sales people took me to a place that "passed" it. Now if I were to get into an accident there is no front end protection because it was never repaired beyond cosmetically. And I'm pretty sure my airbag doesn't work because the horn stopped working and they said it was a problem in the steering column meaning the airbag had been deployed previously. The one star is for being friendly at first and that we got our money back. Day 1: walk into the location on Clay(it used to be a sonic). Drawn in by their adverts of in house finance and your job is your credit roll in with cash down payment + trade in. Was pleased when the showed us a 2014 dodge and worked with us on the payments. Day 2: 12 hours after leaving we notice the transmission slipping when we got to 60-70. They were closed on Sunday of course. Day 3 we took it to a relative that works at a reputable mechanic shop and in no less than 20 minutes found various leaks, transmission issues and the error codes had been RESET. And it had two recalls on it. That day I raced from work to meet the wife there. Red Flag number one, they shrugged off and didn't acknowledge the detailed info I brought from the mechanic. They offered to exchange for another vehicle. we see a vehicle we like and want to test drive BUT THE BATTERY IS DEAD. DAY 4 we come back to see the vehicle from previous day and notice a loud noise maybe from the engine while driving. Like a noticeable loud roar. Red Flag number 2, we asked the sales girl that road with us if she heard the noise"oh I don't know allot about cars" as ridiculous as that is DOES IT MEAN YOU ARE DEAF?? So the mechanic says he thinks it's a pulley and will fix and come back tomorrow. Day 5. We come back AGAIN. Car is ready guy who works in shop cones with us because they couldn't bother to PUT GAS IN IT. Sure enough same damn problem, like blown ball bearings or something and once again the guy says"I don't hear anything, I don't know allot about cars" WHAT?! YOU WORK IN THE SHOP AND DONT KNOW WHAT?! At this point after 5 days and racing from work we are done. We demanded our vehicle and our money back. This time, I switched bank accounts so my money was there yet due to direct deposit not being set up from my job to the new account yet. Avoid service from this place. I purchased my new car in August and of course, everything was fine. Maybe within a month or two later I started to experience trouble with my car. I called in to let Joe know the issues with my car (that I had no control of) and we discussed what was wrong with my car. He asked me to bring it in to get it looked at, then asked if I could leave it for a couple of hours because they had other cars to work on. After some hours had gone by, I then called to check the status of my car and one of the other employees gave me the run-around and said they were busy. I asked him whenever the mechanics looked at my car for him to give me a call. Hours pass by and still no call. Once again, I call in and ask the status of my car. I was told at the last minute, that my car had to stay over night and it would be looked at first thing in the morning because they were so busy. This was a huge inconvenience for me, nonetheless, it was unprofessional of the guy not to call me and assume that I would be okay with this. Not one time did I receive a call from Thrifty Motors letting me know anything about my car. The next day, I call first thing in the morning, no answer. I wait a hour or so and call again, once again, no answer. Some time later I get a call from the same guy the day before and he says my car hasn't been looked at. I briefly respond with my concerns and follow up with saying, "don't worry, I'll be there to pick my car up". By the time I was dropped off to pick my car up, all of a sudden my car had been worked on. He proceeded to speak on the charges, which I was confused about because I wasn't notified that there were going to be charges. He then says the charges add up to $215. Before this, I was willing to pay for labor costs but this expensive charge was ridiculous, especially after the outstanding poor service I received. After voicing my opinions about the service that was given, he then agrees to cut the price in half and apologizes. Approximately three weeks ago, I had gone back into Thrifty Motors for them to check my check engine light. Before this, I had gone to local shops and they ran a diagnostic test with their machine and they couldn't scan the problem. They then explained it was something electrical and I would have to have my dealership look at it. I finally remembered the work I had gotten done at Thrifty Motors months ago was most likely the problem I was experiencing then. It was imperative that I got this looked at, knowing my inspection sticker was going out of date. I had gone to Thrifty Motors and spoken to Joe and explained to him my engine light was out due to the work that had be done to my car months ago. I told him that this was serious and needed to be fixed as soon as possible for my state inspection. Joe agreed and said "No problems, we'll take care of this". Next, I scheduled a morning for my car to be worked on. The morning of, no one was there on time. Finally, after one of the receptionist arrived, I told her I was waiting on Joe and I had somewhere to be. She replied saying I could leave my keys and he'd give me a call when he showed. After an hour, Joe called and asked what was going on with my car. It astonished me that he had no clue because we had spoken about it two days prior. After I explained once again, he then said everything would be taken care of. Once I showed to pick my car up, Joe said everything had been taken care of like he said. But then, he said I had to go speak to the payment center about the payments. I was OUTRAGED. I was completely under the impression that it would be no charge, seeing that this was their fault to begin with. The fact that Joe had the intentions of charging me but didn't notify/inform me of this was unprofessional, inconsiderate, and foolish. It took everything in me to remain calm and make the payment. After this, Joe avoided me the whole time. I can honestly say I'm filled with joy and so very relieved that I have a couple of months before I'm done making payments. Never again will I purchase a vehicle from this company. Some of the employees have an extreme lack of concern and compassion for their customers.
