Whatever car truck you wanted to test drive that would gladly provide you with the keys and let you test out the vehicle. When we finally got down to the vehicle we wanted they allowed me to take it to my mechanic to go through it, which was a great surprise and very much appreciated. Rajar in particular was responsive, proactive, friendly, funny, and all-around good guy. I rarely write reviews, but I can honestly say this was one of the best vehicle buying experiences. I have purchased multiple vehicles from here and this year I purchased a 2021 VW Atlas R-line in July 2025 from Shawn's. Honestly, at first I wasn't completely comfortable with the vehicle because upon inspection I noticed the vehicle needed new tires (down to the 32nds close to tread indicator). I expressed my concern to Rojar and he brushed it off and told me the tires are good & that they are "sports car tires" and don't need replacing for 2-3 years. Fast forward 8500 miles later for my first oil change & Volkswagen Clear Lake is telling me these tires need to be replaced. That's just the start of this entire break in trust with this USED CAR DEALER AND USED CAR SALESMAN! I get my oil changed and there's an entire list of other things that need to get done and I understand it's a used car but this is a major malfunction when oil and coolant mix. They just kept telling me "give me time and give me a way to figure this out" and "we're waiting on our mechanic to answer if he can even make the repair" they never let me talk to the owner, Sherif. I have spent well over $50,000 with these people and they treated me second rate. Rojar is a liar and definitely not a tire expert and he is clearly just looking to make his commission. Achmed, the manager, told me that I needed to treat him with more appreciation after I had to wait two days only to get a screenshot & be told to take my car to Sugarland to their mechanic, with continued uncertainty of whether or not they were going to help with repair. I will never be going back, sadly they broke my trust in the worst way. And I truly believe the owner wouldn't condone the actions of the people he employees. Shawn's Motor Credit is one of those "mom and pop" automobile business that dot the Shepherd Drive stretch that sits on the South side of 610 heading towards Downtown for the directional challenged. You will not find your run of the mill junk cars here but will also be limited to a section of about 40 cars give or take a few. Last I checked there were Cadillacs, higher end Infinities, Mercedes Benzs and BMW's to name a few. Parking is very very limited so my advice to you if you want to get out whenever you are ready then you might want to park outside the gate or you will be blocked in. The sales people here or should I say sales lady are far from your large dealership trained vultures. The one that I dealt with here was seemingly hired just to fill the spot and take on general information without any knowledge or intuition to advise you on how to apply for a car that you select. The finance guy in the back is a different story and you'll notice a big difference especially in attitude. He is very helpful and does have the knowledge to answer your questions if any should arise without any frugal attempts to shower you with smoke and mirror statements that would deem useless for you. I believe his name might be Sharif. This is not a "tote the note" car lot meaning you might have a few credit score hits when they are polling to see which institution will finance you but if you press hard enough they will eventually find one. read more

January 30, 2023 - An absolutely A+++ experience! My wife and just bought a 2008 Hummer H3 Alpha from Shawn's Motor Credit ("SMC"). We originally found the H3 through CarGurus.com. We live in south Florida so we were nervous buying a car online knowing we would not have the opportunity to see it before buying it. When I called SMC, Rojar answered and took the time to answer every question we had and sent us additional photos and videos. He welcomed the inspector we hired through LemonSquad.com. He understood our concerns and was very patient. Once we were comfortable with buying the vehicle, Rojar walked us through all the paperwork and set up transport service to have the H3 brought to our home in Florida. We finished the paperwork last Thursday. On Friday, the transporter picked up the H3. Rojar went the extra mile and took photos and videos of our new car being loaded on the carrier. We originally anticipated delivery in 5 to 7 days. To our delighted surprise we received a call Saturday from our guardhouse saying the driver was here with our new car! I am going to give my honest review about this establishment. On February 22, 2017 I put a deposit on a truck with the understanding that I had to have the remaining funds within 30 days. My husband and I worked very hard to have the funds by March 22, 2017. Throughout the 30 days we went to dealership and spoke with the salesman and he gave no indication of any issues that would delay or forfeit the deal. On March 20 I called to make sure they had fixed a couple of things on the truck I wanted and happen to get the manager on the phone and it was then I was advised that there may be a problem with the paperwork on the vehicle. I was the informed that the dealer could not get the title to the truck. They refunded my money with a check which I did not think was fair because I gave them cash and felt they should return my money in the same method I gave it to them. However, I was informed by the salesman that they would have no record of giving me the funds back if they gave me cash, which I did not understand because they made me sign a receipt acknowledging I received the check. I had to take the check to Chase bank because my bank would have placed a hold on the check and I needed the funds because at this point I really needed a vehicle. I charged for cashing the check. I feel like I let them hold $2000 for 30 days and I was charged for it. They did offer to put me in another vehicle but I knew exactly what vehicle I wanted. I understand things happen but I wish they would have informed earlier. I was at the dealer a week before March 22 and they could have let me know then. The good thing is I think that God does things for a reason and although we may not always understand why it is always for our benefit. I was blessed with a newer truck with lower miles from another dealer. I am not going to say I will not do business here ever, but I will not place anymore deposits on a vehicle here. read more
