The studio is quite industrial feeling - very large with 14 reformers - they are the balance body machines but have a wider footbar which I appreciated. I stopped in to get in a work out while in the area for work. I always know there's going to be a studio for me in DFW. There are two location for BEYOND and I got to take advantage of their first visit program - two classes for $29 even though I only got to use one class while I was there. Pleasantly surprised to know the staff does answer phones -- she called me back and answered my questions and let me know that waitlists do move and that I did have a chance to get into the class I wanted to. They have their own app which is linked to MindBody. I would go again if I were in the area - but I do want people to know it's not traditional reformer pilates and more hitt and circuit style.

The trainers here are exceptional--they're constantly watching your form during lifts and providing real-time corrections to ensure you're working safely and effectively. The gym itself is impressively clean and well-organized, with equipment always in its place and ready to use. What really sets this place apart is the structured programming: every quarter you test your one-rep max, then follow a tailored program designed to increase your strength over the next three months. I've felt myself getting stronger week by week, and the staff has been incredibly accommodating with modifications as I manage knee arthritis. Cody deserves special recognition for keeping things fun and engaging. Right now he's running a bingo card challenge where hitting certain objectives earns you a Starbucks gift card, and during the holidays he did a "12 Days of Christmas" raffle for everyone who showed up. These little touches keep you motivated and create a great community atmosphere. He is very knowledgeable about exercise and the way the body works, it is helpful to understand why we are doing certain things certain ways. Having more information about the way my body works while we train helps me to feel more confident in my workouts. I have several health issues that can be difficult to manage and he has always worked with me to tailor our sessions to be what I need. I have seen weight loss, but more importantly I have seen an increase in my strength and the way I feel in general. Many of the aches and pains I had before have been noticeably less and I can see a definite correlation between working hard at Progressive Resistance and how I feel. I was never someone that thought working out or training was enjoyable before, but his methods and explanations have absolutely made me enjoy weight lifting with him. Tim has provided me with stretches I can do at home, books to check out from him and read, and PT when I have been hurt. I appreciate that he works with my restrictions, but pushes me to work hard to be better. I highly recommend working with him and seeing for yourself.

The idea of the training is separating training from performance. When you train for strength, cardio etc you are doing a very CONTROLLED exercise designed to build strength and endurance with the minimum of risk and stress to joints and other areas of your body. The other component is allowing the body to rest; you're only building muscle and strength when your body is recovering and resting so he encourages this and discourages overtraining. This emphasis on control and safety and rest during training allows better PERFORMANCE which is when you're actually using your body; for competitive sports and just daily life. For me as a physician and surgeon who sometimes does surgery all day it is having the strength to physically perform all day while minimizing fatigue. Truly a new take on exercise that nevertheless makes great sense. In light of this philosophy training like Cross fit looks really silly; lots of uncontrolled motion with high potential for injury. Truly a fantastic exercise place. Can't wait to see it grow.

I needed to build my confidence in the gym and so I signed up for conquer because they offer small classes, 40 years and older, would help me with my form so I don't hurt myself, and would give me a complete workout which is great because I wouldn't know where to start. I feel so much better already! I love starting my mornings there three days a week. I finally feel like I'm going to get to my healthiest goals. They have also been amazing with nutrition counseling! I can't get over how encouraging and personable this place has been. It's everything I needed and more. The Lord truly answered my prayers!

The manager denied my request to pause so I cancelled it. Two weeks later they still charged me my monthly payment and annual membership fee (didn't know this existed). Called them back thinking it was a mistake and they explained they have a 30 day cancellation policy and if I reported to my credit card company they would send it to collections. Absolutely insane management style exhibited by this place. They tout they are a local family owned gym but the owner lives in Austin. Other staff was friendly. Gym equipment is very old and subpar and it was always packed but that's what you get from a cheap gym. Can't wait for better gyms to open in this area.

It may not have everything you want, but it's got anything you need. 24 hour access is pretty standard now, but it can be rare at these smaller gyms, so they've got that going for them too. There are tanning beds, a stretching area, tons of cardio equipment, traditional machines, and a smaller free weight area. This place can get pretty busy at times, but I'm generally in during off hours and rarely have to wait for equipment. All things considered, this place feels like the small business it is and you get the sense that your money means something here. If that's important to you like it is to me, you'll find that you definitely get your money's worth at this gym.
