The classes are fun, the gym area is clean and staff is helpful. The soccer coaching is great. My grandson is learning a lot.

This is a great place for seniors. It's generally not crowded, they have new, high-tech EGYM machines, and there are plenty of fitness classes for seniors. read more

Love this Y location!! They open super early and have group exercise classes super early in the morning. And for that I say thank you! Try their Bodypump class or their cycling classes. Front desk staff were super chill and very friendly! Which is a breath of fresh air honestly. Love that they cultivate a community of healthy individuals that support a worthy cause and is non profit. Membership fees are awesomely affordable and they will work with you if you need to tailor to your lifestyle. Fitness floor is solid and super clean, bikes were great, locker room again crazy clean with lots of amenities on the ladies side. I also like that at times certain locations are avail on Class Pass. Coming from being a member and teaching spin classes at corporate *big box* gyms I generally love the cozy feel of this particular location. Almost like a cheers bar experience...but at a gym haha. I was coming here since my son was born, until I needed to separate my membership from my boyfriends account to my own account. Should have been a simple fix. The front desk older lady with blonde hair.. think her name was liv or Olivia. I'm not sure but she proceeded to ask my boyfriend when I wasn't around personal details about our relationship and then she went ahead and cancelled my membership and my son's membership without my permission. The next time I came in she was very thrilled to stop me at the front desk with my baby in my arms. In front of all the other members she proceeded to say " Ariana your membership was canceled, yeah you can't work out today" and she realized she was being extremely unprofessional and rude, so she stopped herself from saying more in front of others.. then said hang on come here and pulled me to the side and said that basically my boyfriend had removed me from the membership. Which is not what he did at all we simply wanted to be on separate accounts...so she was laughing saying yeah you not only can't work out but you're cancelled. So she didn't let me work out, come to find out I was allowed to work out that day. I did have a membership and she was doing it for her own personal reasons... some people are just sad! Anyways I switched gyms after this, so did my bf! We go to a much better gym now! Also Julie yang was no help in resolving it either read more

Newly expanded space with updated equipment. Also a new area "The Garage" available for classes at an additional fee. All other classes are included in the monthly fee....flex, spin, yoga, etc. Plenty of cardio equipment, so I never have to wait on availability. Large open locker room, however not a ton of counter space for those needing to get ready after working out. Showers and lockers available. read more

The Y is about 10 minutes from my house. I seriously thought about joining so I could use the gym, but the Y fee deterred me. Hate to sound cheap but why should I pay fee to join the Y. Especially for such a small gym. They just don't have enough equipment. So, after all that complaining, why would I give the Y 3 stars? My little girl plays basketball here. Potential contamination issue here. We attended a photo event inside the Y where members of the "Texas Sports Portraiture" were taking pictures. Two of the three women at the desk were not wearing a mask. The YMCA did not attempt to ask these selfish young women to wear a mask. It was a small enclosed room and very hard to socially distance. The front desk worker refused to ask them to put on a mask. There were children coming in and out of the room at all times. They could have easily done the team photographs outdoors, but chose to do it indoors where there was less ventilation with people not wearing masks. read more

I've been actively involved in sport and fitness my entire life and I must say the powerfit class I took was one of the most challenging, fun and rewarding classes I've been a part of. Not only was the instructor, Stephanie knowledgeable, but she kept the class fun. The facilities are top notch as well. read more

Cancelled my family membership yesterday. This may or may not be the right gym for you.....for me and my family it is not. We have a membership at another place also and we have been using that facility more than YMCA for some time. Yesterday was the last straw. I was in the yoga room which was empty....shoes off...yoga mat...working on a stretching routine. An employee comes in and informs me that the room is closed, not open to the "public" ( I'm a dues paying member ) but he will do me a favor and let me continue. Two minutes later I was filling out the cancellation paperwork. I have been on the fence about this place, with kids running around and in the way, for some time, and this rude employee pushed me over the edge. There are many other places with a more adult and professional atmosphere than this YMCA. I do NOT recommend this gym. read more

I have been taking personal training sessions here for a little over a year and have enjoyed the experience immensely! Lisa Turner is the best! She customizes the workout to what we want to focus on for that session and doesn't let my form take a back seat to speed or the amount of weight or reps. She is so encouraging and positive that even when I feel like she's pushing me to my limits, I can find a way to do one more rep or keep going a bit longer. She even helps me with my nutrition, as good health isn't just about burning calories but the proper intake of them as well. All the staff at the Frisco Y are awesome! Highly recommend getting a personal trainer, even for a few sessions! read more

Very nice place. It's not very crowded. The machines are great although I spend the majority of my time using the free weights. The staff is really friendly. All the people are really nice. Great programs for the kids. Tuesday my wife takes our 3 yo to yoga. Both of them love it. I wish it opened a few hours earlier on Sundays and stayed open an extra hour on the weekdays so I could go after the kids go to bed. But it's a great place. read more

I have been a member now since they opened. I like the fact that I can get there in a few minutes and not have to drive all the way across town for the bigger gyms. Sure, they are not a mega gym but they have a great variety of equipment and classes and every thing you'll need for a great workout. We have a family membership that is cheaper than eating out once for the family. So for a Yelper like me, I've got to balance the exercise with the food. The staff is nice and they've got towel service which not even some of the mega gyms or other Ys have. This is great neighborhood gym that I'm glad I can burn some calories in. read more

Nice facilities and not usually that busy. Staff is pleasant. Kids care area is nice. Plus they're expanding to add even more fitness options. I've taken a few cardio classes and these can sober ones fill up but that's not unique to this location. Only wish they had steam rooms/saunas. Good luck. read more

Nice place to drop the kiddos off for the summer. They have so many field trips that the kids can picked and choose. Everyday there is something new. I really liked that Nancy Leiberman held a basketball camp here. Thanks was very inspirational to the kids. read more

New members... make sure you read up on of their 20/20 membership promotion before signing up and paying the initiation fee. I was referred by a friend and was given 20% off membership rates. A few months later my friend left the YMCA and now I have 30 days to refer someone new or pay full price. Not worth paying full price for this facility. It is mediocre at best, cold showers, no pool, and it gets pretty crowded in the afternoon/ evenings. The staff , trainers, and youth programs are the only saving grace and the reason I didn't mark it 1 star. read more
