I had that once & for three days - I was in so much pain that it felt like I'd been in a car accident. So, knowing that he chose a shiatsu massage. I stated I tend to carry my stress between my shoulders and neck. Plus I'm so ticklish everywhere else! Having told him this, he began my amazing massage. My masseuse is very inexperienced, she often forgets to do things, her movements are unnecessary thereby creating noise as she moved around, her massage are not replicate from left to right, her pressure points are very uneven, it felt like she is very inexperienced, I was reluctant to tip her at all. The establishment is a noise trap, any time someone open the front door (with it insane door bell) or talk the next room over, I can hear everything, ruining the whole relaxing experience. From the start, things went downhill. The girl on the phone was extremely rude, which made my wife back out (wise woman). I decided to push through and still set up my appointment. When I arrived, it was the same rude girl at the front desk. After a curt check-in, she left me alone in a room for 15 minutes. To my shock, just take a wild guess who the "masseuse" was for the evening? You guessed it - Front Desk Girl! Within minutes, it was clear she had zero professional experience. Her technique was nonexistent--just a one-handed rub with no applied pressure or deep tissue technique, despite my request for it. I had to ask her to focus on my neck and shoulders, and even then, it felt like an amateur and annoyed effort. The session was so bad I almost ended it early but didn't want to hurt her feelings. Now like I said earlier, I'm extremely understanding and have low expectations when visiting these storefront spots. So I normally would just chalk this up to one of those "you get what you pay for" moments, & left it at that. Not even a Yelp review! But it was this crazy TIPPING situation that was the last straw. Despite the terrible massage, I agreed to leave a $15 tip, but when she saw this, she politely asked if I could give her $20. Again, in an effort to be a nice guy, I reluctantly agreed to leave $20. At this point I just wanted to leave. But when she handed me the receipt, she had added an additional $2 transaction fee without informing me. When I pointed it out, she insisted on the fee, stating "Next time, pay cash." This was the final nail in the coffin for me. It was in THAT moment that I decided to write this review. At this moment, I laughed out loud and said, "No ma'am. $20 is all I'm paying." At which point, she gave me a cold hard stare for about five seconds before rolling her eyes and processing my transaction. In summary, DO NOT waste your money or time here. The experience was unprofessional and frustrating from start to finish. And please don't fall for the fake 5-star reviews left on their page!
