I think I would have tapped out at around 24 hour mark if it was not for her comfort and support during labor. I highly recommend this doula team. I am impressed. After talking with Ann I just feel so much more confident, peaceful and faithful about God's plan for my birth process and journey. She also perfectly fit me with Christian Hypnobirthing which is what I need through painful Braxton Hicks and labor. Her course is 6 weeks long, with a 3-hour class once per week. This allows plenty of home study/practice time in between. All the materials are included in the class. In addition to learning skills which will make childbirth easier, at the end of each class she does a relaxing hypnosis, so I always leave feeling refreshed. As an added bonus, she even provides healthy snacks! While I only went for HypnoBabies classes, Stephanie also works as a doula and offers placenta encapsulation services. If you're not already familiar with these two services and you are pregnant, do some research. I had a doula present for my second child and that made a huge difference in my birthing experience. I wish I would've known all the benefits of placenta encapsulation back then too.

The best news is that the office is attached to AMC and is less than a mile from our residence. That definitely sweetened the deal for us, too. The team at Intown is awesome. They do an amazing job of balancing incoming families and make everyone feel so welcome. Their team is made up of five different practitioners and each visit is with a different midwife. They are all very kind and have different personalities, but their level of professionalism is all the same. Huge high-five to Lindley who made us feel really comfortable on our first visit. She was just the best. So far, we've only visited twice and my wife had her labs done, general checkup, heard our baby's heartbeat, and we have also done a few of the group discussions. The group sessions are really nice and can give some great insight. For us, they have been really cool and comforting with this being our first go at bringing another human into the world. I'll definitely update my review in the coming months. Really happy to be in the kind care of these folks!

Many of the tips and tricks Guina provided and demonstrated were incredibly helpful during the run-up to being in labor and during our stay at the hospital. I did the smoothie add on and I am so thankful to have had that during recovery. The pills are clearly making a difference in my mood and I do not have the mood swings my friends have had post partum. My milk came in early and has been in abundance - our son gained over 2 pounds in his first 2 weeks! They were spot on with pick up and delivery and even included a chocolate treat. My friends and family have really enjoyed getting to see the tree of life - it is a wonderful work of art. Shari was our doula. She was our rock, adviser, teacher, older sister at times, motherly at others, advocate, and friend and this all came out even more at the hospital. She reassured me, encouraged me, and challenged me to push myself even more when I needed her to and was always there wiping my brow, helping hubby to be as involved as possible and helping us make the most of our birth. She has experience with all types of moms and deliveries. Young, old, first, fourth, VBAC, and anything else you can throw at her and will adapt for any situation to what you and your family need. I have talked with several friends she also doula-ed for and she seemed to have a different experience with each of us based on our needs but everyone has agreed she made our birth even better. I call Corinna based on a recommendation from a lovely couple that I met on a hospital tour of North Fulton Hospital. They had RAVE reviews of her HypnoBirthing class, and services. Now I have my own to share. I hired Corinna for an in-home weekend intensive session, and I had to cancel it due to a last-minute furniture shipment that consumed my family room. She eagerly accommodated the move, and we met at an alternate location. The space had lit candles, aromatherapy and the ambiance was definitely calming. I needed it too, coming off of 285 weekend construction traffic. We spent the day together learning about anatomy, doing relaxing techniques, learning how my anxious body keeps my muscles and organs in fight-or-flight mode, which all does NOTHING for a happy baby or speedy delivery. I can go on and on about things that I learned and heard for the first time, but the long story short-- Corinnna: made me address my concerns, supported me, helped me identify the cause of anxiety, helped me with affirmations to replace the worries, and equipped me with so many tools that I feel ready to tackle anything. Her class is awesome, she continuously provides herself and future classes as a resource for past students, and doesn't leave any mom-to-be or birthing partner-to-be feeling inadequate or unprepared for the lovely joy of labor.
