Yummy Spanish vibes in Islands of Adventure! When I saw Sancocho on the menu I went Ooooooo!!!! I was not in the mood for soup that day but glad to see diversity!!! ++ roasted pork And cheese nachos ++ side salad with citrus vinaigrette ++ bottled water Loved the chandelier and all the Dino decorations. Ordered food from the QR code and it came promptly during the lunch rush. You have great views of the Jurassic park drop and can see water flying every 5ish minutes. We came in time for Christmas decorations!

During our stay at the Universal Orlando resort in December 2024, we visited Thunder Falls Terrace for lunch. I'm a fan of Jurassic Park and so is my dad, so this seemed like a fun location to stop by as the ambiance reminds me of the movie franchise. Though we usually don't enjoy the cafeteria style dining as prefer table service, this was still a great location. Rice Bowl Meatless Chorizo - $17.99 Pork Belly Nachos - $16.99 Ribs & Chicken Platter - $19.99 Soda - $4.99 I loved that there was a meatless chorizo rice bowl and was surprised at how large the portion was for under $20. All of us were happy with our meals, and found ourselves properly stuffed the rest of the day. Great fuel for lots of walking and sight seeing.

Chicken & Pernil Platter ($23.49) - I liked the flavor of the chicken and the pernil reminded me of Kalua Pork. Both could've been juicier though.

Was so happy to find some Hispanic flavors in Island of Adventure! The food was truly flavorful, and they also had delicious vegan options for my friend! If you're looking for a more quiet place away from the larger crowds to enjoy a delicious meal, Thunder Falls Terrace is the place to go. It's a sit down restaurant where you order within the app and they bring it to your table! I got the Pernil Platter which felt like a home cooked meal as a posed to the phrase "theme park food". I knew Universal had some great bites and I'm happy to add this place to the list!

This was the best place I ate at Island of Adventure! I loved the theming, super cool, feels like you are in a rocky terrace over a waterfall. Tons of natural light, and I liked our view of the end of the Jurassic Park ride, classic! We needed some lunch and I am gluten free and vegetarian, so it can be a challenge to find good theme park food that will increase my energy. I ended up getting an impossible chorizo bowl and was delighted! The beans were flavorful, fresh avocado, the impossible chorizo was in a sauce with lovely flavor. I was expecting something similar to a Chipotle bowl but it was MUCH more elevated. I felt full and energized for the rest of my park day, super impressive! What is better than a healthy meal with a view of people getting soaked on a ride?

At first I was confused because there were employees standing right by the doors, thought they were hosts, but they were just talking to each other. While blocking the door. That wasn't great. It's more a cafeteria ordering style. Though I really wish the menu font was bigger. It was behind the counter so you could only get so close and it was hard to see it. Our cashier and the chef were wonderful though. I let them know I was allergic to raw onions (but cooked is fine. Heat breaks down the allergen) and they made sure I'd be safe. The chef personally came out to talk to me. I really appreciated the care and attention to detail. Food was good! I wish there was more dinosaur theming with it though. Love the restaurant interior. You really feel like you're visiting Jurassic Park. Definitely worth a visit if you're a fan of the movie.

Really enjoyed this place. Had a great view of the park and you could see people on the Jurassic ride. It was really cool to see up close the water splash. Food was fantastic! You can't find this much food for the price. Half a chicken, corn and potatoes. Portions are huge and can be split with 2 people. Great flavor! You go in, find a table and order at your table. They will deliver it to you making it easy!

Visited on a Friday and was seated immediately. The male hostess was so nice and sweet. We ordered the nachos and an alcoholic banana drink both were delicious!

I mean. It's park food. Dont expect to be blown away But when the food is surprisingly decent AND not super super overpriced it's a win Service wasn't bad. They had a bunch of people clearing tables fast and bringing us napkins. It's packed inside obviously but there's a bunch of seating. You go up and order, grab a buzzer and wait. Typical amusement park style I got the ribs and potatoes. Ribs flavored well, not cooked to perfection to where they completely fell off. They needed a tiny tug. The potatoes drowned in butter and seasoned well. Melt in your mouth but also give you like 2 red potatoes cut in half which is a bummer. Corn is corn. Can't complain there It's getting a 2/5 because in all reality it's not that good of food in the grand scheme and portions suck. But for park food it's good

    David S.

Solid all around. Nothing jumps out at you saying "this is amazing!!" But nothing was bad either. They put a ton of meat on the plate but very little amount of potatoes. The corn was probably sitting for awhile because it had a weird chewy texture but it tasted fine. The rice bowl could've used more than 2 plantains. Service was helpful with getting additional sauce. I would go back but it wasn't super great

    Ben Y.

Personally I feel like the giant turkey leg is a very safe option for theme park food. It's fairly priced (relatively speaking) and should be more than filling for your standard adult. This is a big clean restaurant where you can sit down enjoy the AC and order your food through the mobile app. Thunder Falls and The Three Broomsticks would be go to spots at Universal for a quick meal.

roasted chicken salad $13 Pernil plate $17 Rice bowl $16 Chicken and pernil $17 The rice bowl had rice, black beans, salsa, plantains and cheese. The platter had rice, black beans and plantains. I got the platter because it came with a larger meat portion for the meal. The meat was very fatty for the platter but I did like the larger portion of meat on this in comparison to the rice bowl.

Rib Nuggets with the house Sweet BBQ Sauce, a side of mac & cheese, cornbread, and a Coke. Let me start with that sauce... it's the bomb. Seriously, I could drink it through a straw. It's so good that I found myself dipping every single bite into it. The rib nuggets were tender and flavorful. Every bite somehow tasted even better than the last. The cornbread was incredibly moist and delicious, with just the right amount of sweetness. The mac & cheese was good, but I'll admit I'm a little biased. My old lady makes an incredible macaroni pie, and since I don't get it nearly as often as I'd like, she's set the bar pretty high for my belly. That's a tough standard for any restaurant to beat. Two complaints... First, the "moist" towelette they gave me after I demolished my food was anything but moist. That thing was drier than an 80-year-old woman's taco in the middle of the coldest night in Alaska. I think it actually absorbed moisture from my hands. Second, after a meal that good, I have one question for corporate America: What exactly do you expect me to accomplish this afternoon? Between the rib nuggets, mac & cheese, cornbread, and that Sweet BBQ sauce, I was one recliner away from a full-blown food coma. Pro tip: Order extra Sweet BBQ sauce... trust me. You might be tempted to drink it through a straw too.

1 star for EXPERIENCE…read more I am not a fan of corners of cornbread. So i requested to switch it to a middle portion of cornbread. The young lady asked me what was wrong with the cornbread and I told her im not a fan of cornered things like cornbread or brownies etc. So she then said oh the portion you have they gave you 2 slices etc .. I told the lady I am not a fan of cornered corn bread. It's a diner preference. So this whole cornbread thing was a chaos. She got the boss lady involved now because the young lady before she went to the back and got the boss lady she told me if I were to switch to a middle piece of corn bread I will need to pay another $1 for a new slice while she takes what I have on my tray. WHO DOES THAT?!!!! WHO CHARGES ANOTHER PIECE OF CORNBREAD WHEN YOU ARE TAKING THE ONE FROM ME IN THE FIRST PLACE?!!! So then i had to clarify with the young lady LOL I asked her - " So you want me to pay another $1 for you to take the corner cornbread from my tray for you to replace it with a middle piece ?!" Now mind you this young lady had a fork and a to go container in her hands removing the cornbread from my tray LOL WHO DOES THIS TO A NEW CUSTOMER WHILE THEY ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF EATING THEIR FOOD ?!!!! Removing food thats been exposed from the diner and you as a employee removing food in front of a diner's face?!!!!! WOW. It caught me off guard cause I have never experienced that while dining out. Ever. So the boss lady came back with her asking me why and this and that about the cornbread. The boss lady asked me why I didn't mention it earlier to request a middle piece etc .. I assumed most cornbread are served in middle pieces and not corner ends. She mentioned the young lady was new when I had mentioned being asked to pay another $1 to replace the cornbread. The boss lady then said she had no problem replacing the cornbread of my request. Now get this. When they took my cornbread from my tray I thought to myself - a customer pays extra for this cornbread and after it being touched or exposed from me and mouth etc - they had the audacity to still remove it from my tray LOL most would leave that cornbread and handed me a new one right?! Nope. They took it away and the boss lady said upon giving me the new piece - " of I cant afford this and that etc" she pretty much stated she cant afford to leave me what i had on my tray and also give me a replacement. LOL This establishment must be struggling financially for boss lady to say that. Also when she handed me (boss lady) the replacement of cornbread - her long nails were touching my cornbread wearing NO GLOVES serving diners food with her long acrylic nails!!! The young lady asked me how was everything after a few minutes of me eating the food and I told her - The lady handed me my cornbread with her long nails touching my food. Let her know if the health department ever see that - thats not good. The taste of the food - Tad bit salty on the greens and brisket. Collards were fresh greens not canned i barely saw smoked meats in it but it was piping hot when served. Tender greens slight bitterness, tad salty - the collards were kind of similar tasting with Ms. Kims - The portions of the greens were ok. Enough to eat with the meat and mac & cheese. Mac & Cheese - it was dry tbh there was a cheese taste factor but I figured they close at 7pm? And I probably got the end batch of the day? It was not creamy or any cheese pull factor. Ms. Kim's or Homecoming or even Chick-fil-A mac and cheese is better imo. The Brisket - this was the one I was looking forward to trying and was slightly un impressed. Like I said maybe I came in probably towards the end of the day but no excuse if you are known for this in your menu. First of all the portions here for a BBQ place the portions are not big portions. Its "enough" LOL - For me they sliced it to 3 slices with it being each piece size of my palm. It was soft tender in the fatty centers but dried out in some areas of the meat it had a hard jerky type texture on some areas of the brisket. I didn't see a smoke ring on the meats. The meat was tad bit salty for my taste. I had to drizzle the house sweet bbq sauce to balance the saltiness. It was not the best brisket imo. It had a slight smokey flavor but the bits of pcs of hardened meat threw me off. The house made bbq sauce had a vinegar note in the end but for me it wasn't a sparkle sauce. I can get the same taste with Sweet Baby Rays. Banana Pudding was more a trifle than pudding. The sweet tea with lemonade tasted homemade - too sweet for me though. I should have gotten unsweetened with lemonade instead. I asked for a to go of their house lemonade. For me it tasted like country time with added fresh lemon juice - too sweet not necessarily tangy. It was ok. I have no plans coming back here just on the experience and the food was salty a mediocre for my taste. Mohawk Smokehouse will be my next BBQ spot I will need to try!

I opened it and was checking for the extra pickles which were an option in the app. The person who handed me the food said that they had not had pickles in some time because they were having issues with the supplier. Darn. So I decided to eat my pulled pork sandwich at the picnic tables outside. Actually the tables are not that far from the road where cars and trucks whizzed by. I went back and asked for more bbq sauce because I got two small cups of bbq sauce which had about 3 tablespoons of liquid each. Pulled pork always sucks up a lot of sauce. There was plenty of meat and the bun was fresh but overall it would have been perfect with some acid from the pickles. My brisket and rib meal was excellent. I ate it later and I found the southern green beans to be good. I would definitely get this combo again. It came with a drink which is a canned soft drink. It doesn't say on the app but they also have bottled water. Overall I felt this restaurant lived up to all the hype. Check the app for $5 off on your first order. See QR code in the picture.

The front staff remembers us every time we go. I am obsessed with the herbal and spicy hot pot, so I usually have them make it 50/50 mix. The vegetables are fresh and there's a wide selection of meats and seafood. I also like to make my dipping sauce with the garlic sauce blend. My favorite is the Galbi which is seasoned well. Both savory and sweet. Another obsession is the asago dessert which is a tapioca pearls, black beans, fruits and jelly in a sweet coconut milk. I really enjoy going here since it's a good alternative to other AYCE in the surrounding vicinity because of the better quality. I want to see this place get more traffic because it's hidden in the old JoAnn's shopping center next to Aldi. There's plenty of parking in the commercial lot.

You can pick one or add the other for only $5 more. They have a good selection of meats, veggies, and others. The app selection isn't my favorite compared to other restaurants but still varied. And the sauce bar is always stocked. If you're hungry, this is the place to go!

The restaurant also offers plenty of room to stay and enjoy your food both indoors and outdoors. It was way too hot so decided to get mine to go. The plate is massive! Lots for chopped brisket and fries. Toast was soggy due to the condensation from the meat so just ok for me. The beans were sweet and smokey, an unexpected treat. The mac & cheese was dry. Didn't care for it. The Brisket - very good. Fell apart. However, I would have preferred it not chopped but sliced instead but still very tasty. And get the sweet BBQ sauce. Adds some depth to the meat. Overall, not bad. Solid 7/10 for me. Give it a go if you're in the area and looking for some quick smoked goodness.

The brisket wasn't as juicy as I would've liked. The fries were okay. Wish they were seasoned crinkle cut. The Mac and cheese was downright terrible. Like watered down velveeta. The barbecue sauce was so necessary because otherwise everything else tasted the same. Their sauces were good but again not anything unique. I probably wouldn't return unless I couldn't get bbq elsewhere.

This restaurant truly puts our soldiers, firefighters, police officers and first responders first and offers delicious and amazing bbq (and more) on their menu and let me tell you, it's some of the best in the area! Super friendly and hardworking staff with a positive attitude and giving their best to their customers. Upon asking one of the staff members about their job, "I LOVE working here!" was their response. Appreciated the positive vibes and energy. The interior is cozy, relaxing, and so much to look at on their walls. There is a very nice seating area outside (with umbrellas) that can be enjoyed, weather permitting. Truly American with a southern flair and great country music playing while you enjoy an amazing meal! With a small donation to support our heroes, you get their American Heroes Cup and and by the way, when in season, strawberry shortcake (homemade) is "to die for!" You won't be disappointed!
