Kimchi Rueben with sweet potato fries
    Payton H.

The view and location is the highlight of this place. It's nearby many hikes and looks out onto the Columbia river. The menu is pretty standard brewery food, with a few more interesting options. I got the kimchi reuben with sweet potato fries. The fries were crispy and I really enjoyed the smokey chipotle aioli. The kimchi reuben had barely any kimchi sauerkraut and therefore lacked kimchi flavor. The corned beef was on the drier side and I wish there was more thousand island dressing. The service was not the best. Our server was dry and struggled to give drink and menu recommendations

The jamaica cider on craft was delicious! Delightful dog-friendly patio with views of Bridge of the Gods. Tofu bowl was disappointing. The fried tofu was on a bed of shredded cabbage mixed with sparse rice. The meal was not filling and lacked substantial flavor. 4 stars are for the patio, view and cider!

The Bacon Jam Burger was outstanding--juicy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with the bacon jam and melted cheese. The sweet potato waffle fries were crispy and delicious. Great food, great atmosphere, and friendly service. Definitely worth the stop!

Thunder Island is a great stop. Parking is the biggest challenge you'll have here. The lot is awkward. Inside the place is HUGE! Tons of seating. We got a table by the window with a nice view of the river. Our server took our order fast and it was about 5 minutes until the food hit the table. My burger was tasty, cooked well and was loaded with fresh toppings. The fries were crisp and hot. The drink options were great, I had a nice pomegranate cider. All the food options were good. Great view, great service, good food!

Come for the view or the food, skip the beer. I've never been more disappointed in a brewery in quite some time. The Bridge of the Gods lager (BogLag) tasted similar to my disastrous attempt at home brewing. The other beers didn't have great flavor and were equally forgettable. We had the fries as we weren't terribly hungry. Very good- hot and delicious Views were stunning. Had a great view of the Bridge of the Gods and it would've been even better if the beer was halfway decent.

In the area at lunchtime...darn. The weather was nice so we sat in the patio. Beautiful view. Service was quick and very nice. Easy ordering and the food came out quick. Everything looked great and tasted just as good. No opportunity for drinks (it was the middle of the work day), but the offerings looked great.

To start with great is really enjoyed the views and has a good selection of beers. The food was a little underwhelming though. The salmon was overcooked on the outside but luckily wasn't dry. There also wasn't much flavor to anything in the bowl besides the salmon so really needed the siracha and soy sauce I was putting on it.

Came back after our hike and we still love this place. View was beautiful today and food and drinks delicious. Happy to come back here. Service is friendly and they were busy and everything comes out so fast.

    Beer flight! (4 for $12)

Checked out this brewery after a hike in the gorge and was not disappointed! Super friendly staff and nice interior restaurant. We opted to sit outside in their beer garden (seat yourself area). Got a hard Agua Fresca (so refreshing and delicious) and a beer flight. Standouts were the Festbier and the Witibier. Also the "small" side of sweet potato fries was a great value, loved how thin and crispy they were and appreciated all the sauces you could choose to go with them. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!

Nice restaurant with lots of seating options. Outside seating has a nice view of the mountains and river. I got the pear and beet salad which was delicious. The service was quick and nice. Lots of trails around the area!

We stopped in for lunch and a beer today and had a great time. View was excellent. Beer was outstanding. Food and service was excellent as well. I want to come back again when the weather is warmer to enjoy the outside area. Definitely recommend.

Jamaica Cider is sweet NOT tart.

Delicious food and drink, had and bacon jam burger which was fantastic but could of been made better with added bleu cheese. Also had the patty melt with onions and added grilled mushrooms yummy with added extra thousand island dressing. Worth the stop for beer or food or both. Know that the Jamaica Cider is sweet NOT tart. Good if you want sweet. Not what I expected but my husband liked it.

Solid stop to rest, eat, drink, and take in the beautiful views. They have a fantastic beer selection and highly recommend the Thunder Isand Lager. The food all looked good, reasonably priced, and they also serve what seems like a rotating soup. Today was a fresh caught Salmon Chowder, however, didnt get to taste it but sounded delish! The Bacon Jam Burger was pretty tasty, however, the star of the show believe it or not were the fries! We went during the week on a Wednesday and it also being in the off-season, we were able to get seated immediately. I can imagine this place gets packed during the summer months as the place is pretty big and they also have a tented area by the parking lot.

The food was delicious; each of us ordered something different and everyone was very happy with their meal. I got the salmon fish and chips, and it was SO good. I'm so used to fish and chips being made with cod or other white fish, so this was a fun change. Despite being a pub, this place is family-friendly. The kid's menu was perfect for my little nephew, and my sister was very pleased with the quality of his burger meat and the fact that you can sub fries for veggie sticks for kiddos. We decided to sit inside, please be aware that it might be a bit cold depending where the air vent is located in conjunction to where you're sitting. The service was okay. My husband ordered his burger with bacon but it didn't come with bacon. However, we were charged for the bacon on his burger.

So much art to look at, curiosities tucked in every corner, space to roam and explore! - Get the passport to make your stay even more rewarding and fun! I love the scavenger hunts and the stamps force you to do things you might not normally do on your own accord. - The full pitch and putt course is a relaxing and a fun way to spend a few hours. It was only $25 per person and took us 3 hours. - I signed up for the Makers Tour and highly recommend it! Lots of tastings and great historical facts along the way. - The soaking pools at night were perfect to relax muscles right before bed plus no kids after 8pm. - This hotel doesn't revolve around children. The movies that were showing were rated R and most of the pubs and pool hall are 21+. Kids are welcome - but I've never seen that many kids around which I like, personally. - It's very Dog Friendly!! - The live music is incredible. The Highlights * The Saltwater Outdoor Pool: This was the absolute highlight of our stay. The water is kept at a perfect 38°C (100°F), making it incredibly relaxing. I highly recommend visiting after 8:00 PM when the pool becomes an 21+ area. * Thoughtful Details: The robes provided were high quality and very comfortable. Pro-tip: Be sure to bring flip-flops for the walk to and from the pool area. * Art & Dining: The murals throughout the hotel are fascinating to look at. We also had great experiences at the on-site bars and the Black Rabbit Restaurant, where both the food and the service were excellent. The Room & Stay Quality We specifically booked a room with a private bathroom and shower. However, most rooms at this location utilize communal facilities. Unfortunately, our room was located very close to the shared bathrooms and lavatories. Due to a complete lack of etiquette from other guests using those facilities, it was extremely noisy throughout the night. Because of the poor sleep quality and the noise levels, we likely won't be staying here again. It's a beautiful property, but the layout and noise issues made it difficult to fully enjoy our birthday celebration.

The soup was so creamy and flavorful, and I cannot imagine a better meal after spending all day walking outside in the rain. The fries were super crispy and I liked the batter.
