    Wagyu burger and fries
    Roger M.

First time in. This place is winner winner winner, for craft beer on tap, good grub to feed the hungry tub and a convivial place for meet up. Tap is awesome, especially a handful of IPAs. I was in with friends from mountain biking in the area and we were hungry and thirsty. IPA was great. The Wagyu burger with Gruyere cheese and caramelized onions was big and delicious - put your bib on. It's gonna get a little messy and that's the way I like it. it was hot so we sat in cool bar with a cold frosty IPA. Mountain View across the Columbia river. Three stories - lots of places to sit inside. Second story deck outside but a little hot this afternoon. I bet the evening is awesome. Great craft brews and sandwiches. Excellent service with a smile. No brainer winner winner winner.

Bridal Veils Hazy IPA & fried cheese curds with sweet & spicy dipping sauce (yum!)

Beautiful cool downstairs space with bar & foosball. Upstairs open air indoor & outdoor seating with amazing views. Every server I observed was sweet & attentive. Great selection of IPAs - the Bridal Veils Hazy IPA was the bomb! Extra snaps to Travis who served me. A great place to chill solo or with friends esp after a day of hiking (PCT nearby!) highly recommend!

    Baked feta and crostini

Been here twice to meet up with friends in the Gorge. It's a big, modern and clean looking place with big windows to admire the surroundings. They also have a nice upper level patio for when the weather is nice. The food is solid. Last time I ate here, I got an entree and a few shareables with my friend. I really enjoyed the baked feta and crostini. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip with pita instead of tortilla chips, which was a nice addition. My falafel gyro was alright, but it was hard to eat because of how big it was/it felt a little dry. The fries were nice, though! My friend also got the Mediterranean skewers. I think it's a great spot in Cascade Locks to meet up or enjoy some food and refreshments post-hike.

Loved the atmosphere here. Multiple levels to choose from with open seating. Also had a full bar with cocktail specials. Beer was good, but nothing that stood out. Will be back to try the food!

We arrived at 10:50 and it was open. Super cool space. 3 stories of space and the people who ran it were there telling us about the space and what happens in the summer. Beer was excellent. The crab cakes were super fresh and so good. We also had the cheese curds and those were great as well. We will definitely be back. Maybe in the future to rent out the place and do a renewal of our wedding vows. Yes they do that too.

    Chicken sandwich

This was the first meal I ate after completing a 20 mile backpacking trip! So it's hard to say how much was the food itself and how much was the exhaustion. The chicken sandwich was GOOD and I consider myself to be a chicken sandwich connoisseur. Fries were nicely seasoned. You order via a QR code and pay on your phone so there wasn't much to say for the service but it was fairly fast. This place is weirdly huge, like three stories so I can't imagine it filling up quickly. It had a nice atmosphere with a really beautiful view from the patio. Definitely recommend this place after a hike.

We found this place while visiting Cascade Locks and liked it so much we came here 2 days in a row! Food (4/5): We had the beef sliders with bacon. They were delicious though I removed a star cause the price was soo high ($18). We had the kids meal the second time ($7) - the fries were cold and not good (they seemed to be old) and the chicken "tenders" was a fried chicken patty. Drinks were good, as well - for beers, we had the Multnomah Hazy IPA, blood orange IPA and the Paloma. Service (5/5): They have a QR code that allows you to order and pay for food, drinks and merchandise. They bring you the food very quickly and you can continue to order before you finally have to close out. Atmosphere (5/5): This place is soo cute and modern and nicely decorated. I love the fresh white interior with the neon signs with fun sayings.

Really 4.5 stars because we didn't get a chance to try the food. Heard it was good, and looked good from what we saw. Awesome beer selection. Fast friendly service. You order with your phone and a QR code photo. That seems to be the norm these days. The seating was plentiful. We chose the outside rooftop seating since it was so nice out. Thought they're might be a problem finding parking but there wasn't. Would love to come back and check out the food.

Rooftop view from the back patio. No river.

After visiting Bridge of the Gods, we were ready to chillax with a local brew. Seated immediately was nice except the tables were not cleaned prior. We asked if the table could be sanitized and a blank stare began our dining experience. Waiting a good moment to order, we finally flagged a server for menus. We were told to use the QR code with our phones otherwise our order cannot be processed. Sigh. Curious about their brews, I asked what they recommend. Again told to use the phone for descriptions. Sigh. The website automatically charges a tip before you even have any service. You will be charged a tip each time you order. Food came out. We had to ask for plates and silverware. Besides having the food delivered to you, there is no dining service. Felt like a fast food joint in that sense.

Great service, great drinks, and the best pizza I've had in decades!…read more The beers Backwoods makes are all delicious and smooth-drinking. The service staff was all exceptional. But the pizza! Off the charts!, FULL REVIEW of all Services: If anyone who enjoys hiking, river fishing, or just a general outdoor-focused vacation wants a good, simple getaway with their spouse/loved one, check out the Backwoods brand in Carson, Washington (just north-northeast of Bridge of the Gods/Cascades Locks). Backwoods Cabins offers a really great overnight stay option. The 8 cabins there are all basic "two-room" designs (bedroom and attached bathroom, and a living room / mini-kitchen room). The cabins sport king-sized beds, a gas fireplace and outdoor fire, a mini kitchen with refrigerator/freezer and microwave (no stove/range). I think 3 of the 8 cabins welcome dogs. The Backwoods brand also owns Backwoods Brewery, which is just across the road from the cabin property. They have great microbrew beers (from light lagers to GREAT stouts!). The brewery also has a smokehouse, with fantastic smoked brisket, pulled pork, and house-made sausage/brats. But even better, the Backwoods Brewery offers the BEST PIZZA I've had in decades. The pizza dough is a perfect balance of flavor and texture. It's not too thin and not too thick. The crust is chewy in the middle, with a great crusty edge and base. The red sauce (they also have a white sauce we didn't try) is thick and rich, with a few tomato chunks. It's got a slight spicy bite with a sweet finish. They also have some unique house pizzas. We tried the Whistle Punk - Red sauce, bacon, smoked brisket, peppadew peppers, sweet onions, fresh mozzarella rounds - and the Pepperoni Express - Red sauce, pepperoni, mushrooms, tomatoes, banana peppers, smoked mozzarella. Both were outstanding. I'd go so far as to say both Donna and I deemed these the best pizzas we've had in 35+ years (noting that our first date was at a pizza joint in Fife we both thought was the best-ever pizza). If you stay in the Backwoods Cabins, you get two coupons for free drinks at the brewery (beer/wine/cider/cocktails) as well as an assortment of snacks for your hiking adventures, and a full S'mores kit to use over the gas fire pit. And if you are in a dog-friendly cabin, you get complimentary treats, and water/food bowls for your canines.

Tried the Tree Hugger 10" GF pizza and it was genuinely tasty. The crust? So good. The staff? Kind. The price? About $20, which felt a little "ouch," but the pizza did not, and that's what matters. The place was fun and great ambiance. Take a fun trip and go try this place out.

We're back! 2 weeks later than my last review because the Gorge, Brandy our gracious and loving…read moreserver, dining tent deck view/ambiance, FOOD and "gluttony memory" called us back! An epic Breakfast menu for foodies and standard fair breakfast/brunch lovers is new and ON at Clark & Lewie's - designed and prepared by Brandy's husband and chef Tony! A "first" review challenge for me: How to write in "groans and sighs." Because words just won't accurately communicate the sophisticated, savory flavors, texture and clear love of food like we experienced. Crepes. Yes crepes! They offer two varieties that I couldn't choose from, so they offered one of each! The first is bacon, cheese and egg, and the second with ham/cheese and raspberry jam? The first bite - oooooohhhh - the texture that hits your mouth says "do I have your FULL attention?". And the first auditory responses are moans, groans and a few unsavory expletives....for which you quickly apologize to your dining partner. And your eyes lock on your food and fork - and then partner - with some serious "affection." Holy crap! Then the biscuits and gravy...equally not your standard fair with ample extra creamy servings of love and satiation. We also had to try an extra side of their potatoes obrian which are also not you standard fair and clearly trying to hold its own as a lead entre vs side. Moist, savory and incredible dipped in the gravy:) And then the bloody Mary's! Please note in the pictures the massive thick piece of bacon, that they cook in the oven with cayanne and brown sugar! And ALL of this backed by a scenic Columbia riverside view with its sleepy, eerie and calming mountain peaks, clouds and shimmering light. I must again reference our (local) server Brandy, and her incredible multi-talented husband Tony- they are the heart behind your entire dining experience. Brandy's piercing blue eyes radiate her love of what she does and her life with her large family here in the gorge. Richness in every level that pleases all your senses and soul. Oh! And with a bag full of breakfast leftovers, we ordered a full serving of their famous beef and elk stroganoff to take home as well!:) We'll be back!

They have a nice patio area with a few (4-5) tables that are covered. We got there super early and opted to sit outside since the weather was so nice. The service was fantastic and our waitress was super friendly. We discovered that she has ties to KC so I always love that. I started with an Adeline blackberry sour. It's pretty to look at and so delicious to drink. Sours in Oregon are hands down the best. I wish we had more of it in KC but I highly recommend that you get sours and ciders if you're in the PNW. For lunch I ordered the Club Sandwich: Sweetheart ham, hickory-smoked turkey, Tillamook white cheddar, Applewood smoked bacon; topped with lettuce, tomato, chipotle mayo. It normally comes on sourdough but I swapped it out for ciabatta. First off, it's a HUGE club sandwich. Lots of meat that had amazing flavor. Not some sad deli sandwich at all. The ciabatta had great chew and complemented the sandwich perfectly. No complaints here! Did I eat it all? Yes, and that was a great plan because it kept me going for the next 24 hours that ended up being a cluster that resulted in no food being available. Sandwiches come with chips or a garden salad but I opted for a different side with an up charge. Let's talk about the Oregon Blue Salad: spring mix, dried cranberries, honeycrisp apples, Rogue Creamery Oregon Blue crumbles, and maple candied walnuts; tossed in an apple cider vinaigrette. So GOOD! You can get it by itself and it would make a great meal. Everything was so fresh. Again, not a single complaint. If you are ever in the area, please stop in. Everything was amazing and I can't wait until I return. Double Mountain is on my list to come back to! Highly recommend!
