I could talk all day and not have enough time to say all the good things about Thunder Mountain. They are responsive, accommodating, thoughtful, and kind. Earlier this year I broke down on the side of the road and called them; they arrived promptly and were able to provide a roadside fix so I could get home safely and get a permanent repair in place. It was a hot summer day and I was stuck on the side of I-5 without water or shade and the owner called in one of his team that was off that day to come get me since the on-duty rep was out on a tow in another area. They went to great lengths to make sure someone was on side promptly and I was safe and assisted. Months later, my bike broke down at home. I wasn't able to be with the vehicle and ride to the shop with Thunder Mtn, but because of my first great experience I knew they would always act with integrity. They picked up my vehicle from home and took it to the shop for me, calling when they were onsite and loaded up and right after it was dropped off at the shop. Butch, the owner, communicated well throughout and is such a kind person to boot. He, as his employees, always act with the utmost integrity and thoughtfulness. I have Thunder Mtn programmed in my phone now, and they're my go-to for towing and roadside assistance. They're always there when you need help. Aaron just brought my Roadmaster back home to Langlois Oregon, about 375 mile trip one way for them. They picked up at ProCaliber which has played games on returning bike, so Thunder Mountain was called in. Thunder mountain had transported bike back 1.5 years ago. They are great in transporting motorcycles. STAY AWAY FROM PROCALIBER, they seem to damage bikes instead of fixing them!!! read more

I highly recommend Thunder Mountain for motorcycle towing. From start to finish they helped me every step of the way. Stump, the towing tech, showed up and had me rigged up and ready to move in no time. Allowed me to adjust my destination once I found a shop that morning and Stump even pushed my bike up to the shop doors while I was inside conducting business. After it was all said and done Stump found out I was a veteran and thanked me for my service. It's not a big deal at all but it was just nice to do business and feel respected as a human. We have a motorcycle that needed to be towed. I phoned around 9 am but got an answering machine (with only the default outgoing message), so left a detailed message. After not getting a call back after an hour, I tried again, with the same result. Still nothing after a couple of hours, cashed again but still didn't reach an actual person. We gave up on the company helping us. After having read so many great reviews here, we were pretty disappointed. I really dislike leaving negative reviews but getting no response despite several messages just isn't OK in my book. read more

Best of all, over half the price of the last flat bed transporter I used. The flat bed company I had used to get my bike from the accident scene was an hour late, I had to do most of the work loading it, took 45 min to tie it down, and it wasn't tied properly as the bike came lose after a few blocks! Terrible service experience with Thunder Road motorcycle towing. My motorcycle broke down on 205 this morning on my way to Mt St Helen's. I called Thunder Mountain for a tow. The driver called to tell me he was on his way "just came by there, I'm turning around to get back on North bound and I'll be right there". A half hour later I called the driver back and was told by him that he got pulled to another job and someone was supposed to have called me. I called dispatch back and was told "that driver is going to head to you after that call, he will be there in 25 -30 minutes. An hour later after Thunder Mountain did not show up again, I called Speeds towing. Speeds arrived within 25 minutes and took care of me. When I got home I called dispatch for Thunder Mountain again and was told that the driver and dispatch had tried calling me (which they did not). I told the dispatcher that "leaving someone on the side of the fucking highway for 2 hours, assuring them that you were on your way 2x and never showing up felt pretty shitty. The dispatcher became indignant that I would cuss at him when he was "helping me out". No integrity, no communication, very bad experience. read more

Thunder Mountain Motorcycle Rescue (TMMR) has saved my butt not once, but twice. Great amenities (enclosed trailer, hydration for potentially shocked rider, and a clean cab to get home in). Both of my incidents occurred a good distance away from my home, and Aaron and Lisa's timing and pricing were impeccable both times. I'm very comfortable dealing with them, as they bring with them a warm and welcoming sense of "family," and would never hesitate to recommend their services. Their tow service was covered under my AAA but I was pleasantly surprised at how affordable it would have been otherwise. They towed it in an enclosed trailer which was a huge plus. Got stuck in Vancouver when my YZF-R1 wouldn't start. Called Thunder Mountain, they were there to jump start me in 20 minutes. Unfortunately my bike still wouldn't fire, but did get safely trailered back to Oregon. TMMR was fast, courteous, and knowledgeable. They will be my go to rescue resource. read more

These guys are great. It turns out AAA won't tow a motorcycle normally. These folks answered the phone on a Sunday, showed up when they said they would, had a trailer that was easy to load and designed specifically for the job, took my bike to the service shop, and even gave me a lift home. It cost about half what other tow companies quoted. If there's something else we're looking for, I don't know what it is. read more

Thunder Mountain Motorcycle Rescue has been a life saver for me on a few occasions. This past June 2012 the transmission failed on my 250CC bike. I called them and shortly afterwards they were there to save me and my bike from the highway. They secured my bike in their large trailer and away we went. I was stuck in the middle of a move with very little in the way of available money and my bike died on me. Without any other place to turn, I phoned up AMA Roadside Assistance and they scheduled a pick-up for me with Thunder Mountain. First, Thunder Mountain arrived early - a good thing, mind you - and they were ready to go as soon as I met them in the parking lot. In a matter of minutes, my bike was safely loaded into their trailer and they were preparing to leave. Next, they even beat me to my new address, and were already setting up to unload when I arrived there. In even less time than it took to load the bike, they were wheeling it into my parking space. Then, when all was done, I sat there admiring the bike I could have not moved on my own - due to the move - and checked the time; the whole relocation took even less time than my entire time on the phone with the AMA (including holds)! I definitely recommend Thunder Mountain to all who need a motorcycle moved from one place to another! read more
