Took my car in for a muffler delete. The exhaust tips flew off within a month. When I told them, they said it's because the stock tips were welded on. They never warned me this would happen when installing it and just did it. If I would've known they were going to fly off I wouldn't have done That. Didn't offer to replace lost tips either. Been driving around with no tips

Gave specific directions about how I wanted things done and they had no problems or even batted an eye about doing it...

If I could, I'd give this place 10 stars, fast, friendly and reliable. Not to mention never a wait... gotta love old school shops like this that "get $hi+ done"

There is a reason they have been in business since 1956! Brought daughters jeep to get an estimate but was leaning having the work done here anyways. She had a hole in the tailpipe which was sagging her exhaust slightly and I wanted to get it done for her before it fell of with a hit to the ground. I got the quote and decided why run down to the other shop for a quote so I just got it done here. The price I thought was very good and was told it would be about an hour to get started. Well within an hour I was in and on the road with a great repair to her exhaust. One guy I spoke to while waiting for my car said he had been quoted about $300 more for the same "fix" at another shop for his car. No need to run around San Diego, come directly here and get all your exhaust issues resolved quickly and efficiently for a great price- People have been since 1956.

Saw that these guys were only a few minutes away from a walk, so decided to bring my Challenger 2010 SE V6 into their shop. The mechanic I was helped by was very kind and asked me what type of job I was looking to do with my car. I'm a newbie to cars so I just told him I want a deep growl from the exhaust-- recommended me the FlowMaster Super 44's, extension of the exhaust, as well as riddance of the old. We also got a new exhaust tip to add some flare. The price was reasonable and was taken aback when it was only $380, coming in expecting to pay A LOT more. I agreed to it, signed some papers, and walked off to go back home. An hour goes by and I get a call from the shop telling me they had already finished! I rushed to the shop and my Challenger was already waiting in front of their shop. The guy quickly rang me up and gave me the keys and a receipt. I went to my car, started it up, and wow. I was really REALLY happy with the results. It couldn't have been any better and I'm glad to have found this mechanic near me. I'm really happy with the job, the environment was very welcoming, and the price was really good for what you get. Looking forward to doing future business!

Their prices are very fair. I when in for a full catback Exhuast system. They treated me very well. They didn't attempt to sale me on extra stuff. Their customer service and job was definitely worth 5 starts. I had shopped around and was given the best price with them. They definitely beet everyone's price.

I came 30 minutes before they closed and still took me in, did an amazing job, and gave me a great price. I'd 100% recommend coming here.

This converted taco shop is no way to get your exhaust work done. Overpriced for low quality work.

Compared to the dealership, their prices are a great value. I had originally planned to have the work done at the dealership, but after learning about their 20% first-time customer discount, I decided to give them a try. Initially, I only needed my brake pads replaced. However, my car started displaying battery warnings, and both AutoZone and my Mercedes-Benz advisor confirmed that the battery needed to be replaced as well. Since I was already planning to come here for the pads I decided to have both services done here. I dropped my vehicle off around 2:00 PM, and it was ready by 9:00 AM the following morning, which was a very quick turnaround. My only concern came after reviewing the invoice. The total seemed higher than I expected, and after taking a closer look, I realized I had been charged a diagnostic fee for the battery. When I mentioned the warning messages, the staff said they would "check it out." Had I been told they would do a diagnostic to confirm and charge for that, I would have declined it and simply proceeded with the replacement. That said, this experience would not stop me from returning or recommending this shop. The service was professional, the staff was friendly, and the work was completed quickly. My only suggestion is that if you already know exactly what service your vehicle needs, make that very clear upfront so they don't run a diagnostic that is not needed.

They give you the sense of trust in their service. They clearly explained everything that they were going to do to find the leak and then explained what needed to be repaired to fix the leak. The repair was done really well and it only took one day and I also found the price to be very fair. Appointments must be made for all repairs. Many thanks to Brent and Alex for their help and service to get my car up and running smoothly. They really care about their customers and will do everything possible to make sure your car repairs are done correctly. This is my favorite repair shop and I would definitely recommend South Bay Auto Haus to anyone in need of Mercedes car repairs.

Had to bring it back and they couldn't figure out the problem so they took tahoe to the dealer. Dealer got the steering wheel controls back working but now 3 usb charging ports weren't working. The event was so frustratingly stupid that I just had to message my friend as soon as it happened. The following is the conversation: Me: "Hi, I was just wondering if I could get a reading on the amperage my car pulls when it's running." Employee: "why?" Me: "I'm trying to put a system in my car, but I need to know how many amps my car pulls while it's running. My multimeter doesn't read past 10 amps." Employee: "well first of all, a multimeter doesn't read amps because it's a clamp meter that reads amps." Me: "I mean, a multimeter does read amps.. it's just that mine has a 10 amp limit and obviously a car is going to have a lot more than 10, so I just wanted t-" Employee: "multimeters never read amps. And even if they could, it would just be AC. Cars run on DC, not AC. So even if a multimeter could, it wouldn't be able to read DC because that's just the way it is." Aside from the whole interaction being extremely unprofessional, for someone that works at shop where they INSTALL STEREOS, how do they not know the basic functions of a multimeter?? Based on his little "theory" im surprised this man even knew an amp was. In the hopes that the employee I spoke to sees my review, I would like to showcase not one, but TWO of the non-existent, logic defying multimeters reading amperage off a DC solar panel. Or maybe solar panels don't exist either?
