It clearly states that "This certificate entitles you to $500 off braces or invisalign. Call or text us today to get started on a new smile!" When I called the office to schedule getting started with my treatment, I was told the coupon cannot be redeemed for my Invisalign and that I should give it to someone else. I had heard great things about Thurman, but unfortunately I believe a lot of it is false advertising and shady business to get people in the door. read more

Yesterday I took my daughter into the office to have a consultation for braces. When we arrived they had the cutest sign outside that said welcome and had all the first names of their patients for the day (I'm assuming the new patients) my daughter loved it! When we got inside we were greeted by the amazing front desk staff who checked us in very quickly and had us take a seat where we only sat about 5 mins before being taken into the back. In the back the ladies were great they explained everything from prices to how long she was going to wear braces. To much of my surprise they told us they had available Time for her to have her braces placed at that time. I thought it would be weeks before she would get them! Going to the dentist has always been difficult for me, even as a child. I knew I needed orthodontic care so I decided this was going to be the year I faced this fear, I had already gone to two different consultations... the first one I walked in.. then walked out..lol I didn't even see the doctor. I knew by the environment it was not for me. The 2end office was clean, the staff was nice so I figured why not and I made an appointment for later that week. As I left that orthodontic office I did notice Thurman Orthodontics across the street I figured I would just stay with where I was at. The next day I was talking to a friend I told her where I was going to go and what I was up to and she told me before I committed to the second choice I should call Thurman Orthodontics and have that consultation because they would truly surprise me... I thought about it over the weekend and decided to call and they got me in pretty quick for a free consultation and I was completely blown away how awesome the environment of the office was I'm a pretty firm believer if the doctor and the higher Staff is truly good to their staff you will be able to tell by the environment... the staff at Thurman Orthodontics was everything I needed to help my fears and my anxiety and I kid you not I signed up that very day and I got braces! I feel so comfortable going in there and I know that I'm in good hands. I immediately cancelled with my second choice I haven't looked back. Four weeks after I had my braces put on I took in my 14 year old daughter for a consultation and now we are both patients... and we both feel like we are in good hands. Changed our dental insurance in July (not realizing it was an HMO), in September I called to get a pay off amount because we wanted to stop paying the monthly payments. By October, they called and texted me ONCE "regarding insurance" I never called them because I knew we were about to pay them off... over 3k worth... when my husband called to pay them off we discovered they charged us an extra $650 because we switched to an HMO. They refused to work with us, but they got their now over 4K worth of money for treatment for my sons braces. Unfortunate, that they were refusing to work with us considering how late they realized we switched insurances & how many clients they have. read more

I was impressed with the efficiency of the office. My son went in for a consultation and even though the waiting room was crowded, we were in and out in thirty minutes - photos, x-rays, and an explanation of time frame and cost. We did have to go back in the day after his braces were initially put on because a bracket popped off and a wire was poking him, but they were able to get us in right away and quickly resolved the issue. I was recommended to come here years ago by my neighbor for my oldest son's braces. They are so fast and efficient. The lobby is nice and they have coffee and hot chocolate available while you wait although I've never waited long enough to finish a whole cup. My husband got his braces here and he was really happy with the service and his results. Now my youngest son is getting his braces here and we couldn't be happier. I hate having to do this, but I feel Ive been disillusioned. Although the customer service and care I have received have been great, I have found that their much-boasted promos are not actually promos. I want to preface with the acknowledgement that Dr. Thurman is indeed helping me out by offering my treatment at a great cost and with a great payment arrangement. But I had noticed that their promo at the time of my consult, the "Free Apple Watch when you start treatment" wasn't offered, or even mentioned to me, when I started my treatment. I visited the office a second time a few days after I started my treatment to fix a pokey wire, and I asked about it. I was directed to the financial office (uh.. okay?) where they reviewed my financial info (again... uhh... okay?) and let me know that I "qualified" for the Apple Watch. Wait... thought this was free?? To make it even better I "qualified" with a down payment of over 100 dollars, and my monthly payments would shoot up over 200 dollars a month for a certain amount of months. How in the world is that free?? I promptly said no thank you and left. Nowhere in the promotional ads on ANY of Dr. Thurman's social media pages at that time stated that restrictions and conditions apply. Deceptive advertising, but I left it go as an Apple Watch isn't that important to me. Might have been nice, but oh well. Next, here's the "Win Free Braces if they spot the magnet on your car" deal. These past few rounds of photos have been mostly of cars in the parking lot of the office. I'm not sure whom you have taking the photos, but I see THOUSANDS of these green magnets on cars, and to just take photos of cars parked in your parking lot or within a one-mile radius of your office is pretty lazy and very unfair to those who live on the other side of town. Do you not want your patients to actually win? I understand free braces might be a hit to the office, but then why offer it? Oh right, advertising. Well, I'll be removing the magnet from my vehicle, considering I live on the east side and there's a very unlikely chance my car will be seen. I'll continue my treatment with your office and pay promptly every month, but I'm disappointed with these promos. I think some more transparency is needed with your clients. read more

Highly recommended! Their customer service is of the best in the town. Not only did my son receive excellent service, the staff was very accommodating. I was unable to take my son into his consultation myself due to work. The staff was able to confirm my approve over the phone while my mother took care of the forms in the office. I love the same day service. But I love this staff even more because they checked on my son first thing the next day after his braces were put on. Everyone has been kind and respectful since day 1. When ever I call to take in my daughter because a wire is loose, or there is some discomfort or whatever the reason maybe they accommodate her as soon as possible, even same day appointment. I lost my job because of covid did not take on account and would not work on payment plan and had two teeth recovered and would not close the holes wanted to take them off bc they wouldn't do Patel t plan. I've been going back and forth on getting braces for awhile (hesitant because of pricing) but we were finally able to do it! I had gone in for a free consult a few months ago and Amanda went over everything with me. She never pressured me into getting started and tried so hard to make a price work for me. When I had to leave without braces, she texted me and told me that she would be there if there was anything she could do. Fast forward a few months... I've now been in braces since September 6th. I LOVE the progress I've made!! I've had several appointments for things ranging from normal adjustments to wanting to swap band colors to trimming wires that were poking me. And I found a lot of recommendations but Thurman Orthodontist came highly recommended. From the staff to the beautiful decorated interior this place makes you feel like home, I find that a lot of doctors just make the interactions very quick but the staff at Thurman treats everyone with respect and values your time. Let me start by saying, their customer service is amazing!!! I initially got an appointment, I arrived and wait time was nonexistent. Pictures were taken and also x-rays, then immediately after that I was taken with a lady who explained to me my personalized treatment. Turns out I only needed braces for 20 months! I decided right there, that I was getting them. I got the braces on the very same day I had a consultation. I was amazed at how easy and fast the service was and I left there really happy and excited for the upcoming results! My son recently had braces put on, I dont think I can say enough great things about this office and the entire staff. I made our appointment but I misread my calendar and we showed up a week early, mom brain. They squeezed us in so quickly it was amazing! We waited only 5 minutes, the wonderful woman who did our initial consultation was so pleasant and really took as much time as we needed to answer all of our questions and go over all of the options for financing and let us know what Dr. Thurman recommended. She even took the time to make a follow up phone call later that day just to make sure we didn't have any further questions. Our second appointment was the following week to get my sons braces put on, the wonderful lady in the financing department was equally as nice and helpful and answered all of my questions with cheerful and informative responses. We again had a minimal wait time and were met with tons of smiling face. My son was taken back to get his braces and Jazmin (sp?) Was so pleasant and sweet she really put us at ease. She was quick and careful with putting the brackets on and Dr. Thurman came and talked to us about how to care for the braces and spoke to my son about what he would be feeling and explained exactly what the braces would do for him. When we were finished my son got to add his thumbprint to the tree on the wall and was given a special backpack full of all the things he would need for the next couple months until his next visit. We recieved a call a couple days after to check on how my son was feeling and to make sure everything was going alright. And about a week later we got a very sweet postcard from Jazmin saying thank you and letting us know if we needed anything to give them a call. I truly am so impressed with Thurman Orthodontics and the wonderful customer service! If you or your children need braces i would highly recommend this office!
