Finally got a chance to try the very hyped Thyme Kitchen & Catering for some breakfast. First off I want to say that the hype is very warranted, this breakfast was stupendously perfect. For a small breakfast nook there is some magic happening here. The breakfast Bagel sandwich with fresh smashed sausage patty on an everything bagel with cheese and egg was sublime. We did get the hot honey on the side and that sauce was exquisite. For only $5 more you get the potato hash, that is interlaced with pierogies which is a masterpiece of terrific tubers. Of course we had to try something sweet, so we got the creme brulee French toast which was nothing but sweet splendor. $30 for everything we got was well worth it. Enough for us to share. We will absolutely be making a regular breakfast stop here, now that we know why the hype is real. Bravo for breakfast perfection.

This place was a surprise at the recommendation of friends. I tasted the maple bourbon pork belly and sausage and gravy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is small, but their skill at cooking is off the charts.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The tenderness of the pork belly was level 10, and the flavor profile came with layers. The sausage and gravy is right up there with the best I've ever tasted. They are on my return list.

Small kitchen packed with some killer food! Hands down this joint makes one of the best, if not the best sausage egg and cheese bagel sandwich in NJ. Pictures don't lie, the food coming out of here is so darn good! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant shares its space with Hallowed Grounds coffee so it is a bit snug inside however this place is a must try.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] IMO the food is a bit on the pricy side so it's not someplace I'd come to daily however if you want to treat yourself to some bomb breakfast food make sure to come here. And don't get me started on their specialty potatoes, they remind me of Thanksgiving day! So so soooooo good! Pretty certain the potatoes are mixed with stuffing and possibly turkey but whatever it is, you have to order these as a side. Can't say enough good things about this place, definitely give it a try if you're in the area!

No other breakfast sandwich spot even comes close to Thyme Kitchen. Their Brown Butter Scrapple Bagel sandwich, Sausage Smash, and Chicken Caesar Wrap aren't just good- they're transport you to another world delicious. You MUST also order the Yukon breakfast potatoes with your sandwich. The result of mixing pierogis with potatoes is genius. Ordering here has become a monthly ritual in this house.

Breakfast sandwich (no egg: dietary restriction they accommodated for!)

The Silver Diner excels at all but the key difference here is quality. Quality ingredients matter here and it shows. Terrific toast and a garden salad that doesn't taste like it was hanging around the locker room since it was made made two days ago. Five very easy stars.

I had the Power Breakfast, and my wife enjoyed the California Omelette. Both meals were fresh, flavorful, generously portioned, and beautifully prepared. We would absolutely order them again. Our server, Benjamin, deserves special recognition. He was friendly, attentive, checked on us at just the right times, and never made us feel rushed. His service was outstanding and added to an otherwise wonderful dining experience. The only disappointment was the beverage pricing. I'll admit that we typically don't study the menu prices before ordering--that was probably our mistake. After eating in restaurants for more than 70 years, however, I can honestly say these beverage prices are among the most outrageous I've encountered. We were charged $3.99 for a single cup of black coffee and $5.99 for one glass of lemonade--nearly $10 for two beverages. The coffee was simply one ordinary cup of black coffee, and the lemonade was so incredibly sweet that it was almost undrinkable. Neither beverage came close to justifying its price. It's unfortunate because everything else was excellent. The quality of the food, the atmosphere, and Benjamin's exceptional service make Silver Diner a place we would gladly visit again. However, management should seriously reconsider charging nearly $10 for one standard cup of coffee and one mediocre glass of lemonade. Prices like that leave customers feeling taken advantage of and detract from what is otherwise a terrific dining experience. We'll definitely be back--but next time we'll probably skip the beverages unless the pricing becomes more reasonable.

Our waitress seemed a bit flustered, but still very friendly and attentive. We ordered quickly and our food came out really fast. I got an omelette with salad greens. Everything seemed fresh and flavorful. I had zero issues with my food. One of my kids got the French toast with bacon and fruit and the other got a grilled cheese with fruit. Both kids liked the main meal but the fruit was on its way out. Lots of brown and squishy spots. Normally my kids could eat a pound of fruit each, but they both passed on it. My wife got a breakfast sandwich with potatoes. She really wanted fries, but they had none. What breakfast restaurant doesn't have French fries? We thought that was pretty strange. She said the sandwich was fine, but nothing spectacular. My parents shared eggs and potatoes and a pot of decaf. The potato consensus across the table was that they were not good. Too salty and not crispy enough. This was especially upsetting because of the lack of fries. Oh well. They also hated the coffee, but my parents only usually like McDonald's coffee. Boomers. What are you going to do. Everyone agreed we would not be back here, but for me, with the parking lot and satisfied kids, I wasn't too sad about the meal.

I would go back for the cookie skillet itself. It was delicious. Overall it was a beautiful place in an area you wouldn't expect (next to a dunkin' donuts). The waitress was very kind and explained their advanced menu. But again since we just ordered off the happy hour menu it wasn't bad.
