My daughter and I were looking to get our nails done in Kansas while we were out of town. We wanted to find a location near the Legends, so we didn't have to drive far away. We came across Tiara nails on Yelp, the reviews were a little mixed, so, to be honest, I was nervous. But we were greeted as soon as we walked in, and one of the first things I noticed was that they had a very diversified staff, which I thought was pretty cool. Because normally when I go into nail shops, I may not always easily understand the person i'm working with because of the language barrier. We ended up being taken care of by Jordan and Maggie. We got it pedicures and manicures, and even though they didn't have as many color selections as other salons that I've been to, but I was glad I was able to match my nail color on my hands and feet pretty closely. I really appreciate Jordan, because she noticed that my daughter's nails were really thin because she has recently gone from getting gel to dip and noticed that when they were doing her dip, her nails were being filed down too much, and she took time to educate my daughter on how to take care of her nails until they grew out more Now, I will say that I could tell Maggie was more experienced in doing dip then Jordan, but considering she was newer to the skill, she still did a pretty good job. If we need to get our nails done when we come back are in town, I could definitely see us coming back by. read more

I tried booking an appointment with Pam on a Monday which she wasn't available at the time I needed so I was scheduled for Tuesday at 3:30PM. The person I spoke with on the phone stated she had a wax appointment before me so I may need to wait about 15-20min which I agreed to. I got there at 3:26 in which Pam came out asking if I had an appointment "too" as she was coming to get the lady to receive her wax service and I said yes, for a fill. I was told by her to go to another employee for my service because she didn't have time. I purposely booked with Pam so I expected to be serviced by Pam. Unfortunately, as I was explaining the conversation from the prior day, she walked off which was very unprofessional. read more

Wonderful owner. Been going here for years. In nearly 3 years I have only had to have one nail replaced because she is so meticulous. Imagine.. same set for 3 years and they are still near flawless. Plus she always creates the look I want. These are my "vampire" 3D cats eye gel nails (Halloween) after 2 weeks growth.. not even a chip or flaw. The owner of the salon realized I had another card with me (my debit) which I've never used! she said she wanted me to use that because they charge her more if they use my American Express. I am blind. I went in and Lindsey decided she wanted to not follow my instructions. I asked her to paint my nails the same as my toes. She said okay. She wasn't communicating with me, so I kept asking to make sure because my normal now lady tells me everything she's doing. The manager even goes Ashley you're acting like you don't trust her. So I paid I left I get in the vehicle with my dad he tells me they don't match. I called up there. Lindsey is laughing and said she thought these colors would be better. And if I wanted, I could come back and they can redo them. They took advantage of me, not having vision, and I do not recommend this place to anyone. they didn't even refund my money at first. It took my main nail tech to hear about what was going on and tell the manager to refund my money. read more

The lady (Lindsey? I think)who did my nails barely said anything to me, and didn't even ask me what I wanted. She said it was because I was talking to someone else. My nails lasted 2 days and really bad after 5. Gel nails are expensive so I am not happy with Wyandotte County nail salons and don't want to risk another bum job to become a regular and get better service. I'm glad I found this gem of a nail salon. The person I spoke to on the phone was friendly and quickly booked my appointment. When I entered the shop, I was greeted and a pedicure chair was ready for me. My pedicure and manicure were relaxing. They do quality work! Ask for Pam! She only works on weekends. Everyone seems very nice though. The lady who waxes eyebrows does good work and seems very popular. I overheard her saying that they will offer additional waxing in the fall. read more

Worst pedicure and service. Polish peeled off in two days for both my mother and me, they didn't pay attention to their clients.

It was my first pedicure and it started to with a numb, tingling feeling in my toes. Now I have the craziest infected ingrown ever. I've never seen my toes like this before. The doctors told me this happens when they don't cut your toes straight across or they're using contaminated tools. Also i wanted a nice white ombré nail that fades into blue. The girl said she could do it so I trusted her as she did say she'd been doing Nails for 19 years. It's streaky not an ombré, me and my mother paid 200 dollars for my one fill , one full set and two pedicures. Never again! read more

After the COVID pandemic, all nail appts were required (no more walk ins allowed). On recommendation from a friend, I tried Tiara Nails. It was over $150 for my nails, toes and a wax. That wouldn't be an issue if my nails actually lasted. Within 12 hours of the appt., one jail split. I returned the next day to have it fixed. Within three more days I only have 3 nails left. Lee Press-On nails would have lasted longer. Never again!!! read more

Booked an appointment at 3:30 and had to wait for almost 30 minutes to get our nails done. 3 employees were not doing anything but sitting on their phones and talking and just continued to talk to each other while we were sitting there. It took forever for them to even acknowledge me and then I waited forever for them to talk to me. And after I got my eyebrows done they were nothing like I told the lady I needed. Never going here again! They charged me $14 for a "manicure." My nails were never soaked and my cuticles werent pushed back. He basically cut my nails, filed them and put some gunk on them. Then after applying a heavy coat of nail polish THEN he put lotion on my hands. I swear they need to go back to beauty school if they think that is how a manicure is supposed to be done. read more

This salon is now known as Tiara Nails. I love this place. I have a gel manicure and pedicure when I go in and the work is excellent and prices are good. At times, I've gone to other places when out, but always come back because the experience and work are so much better. Everyone is good, but my favorite is Pam. She excellent and so nice! The salon could be updated and less cluttered, but the service is great and Pam is wonderful! read more

I love this place!! I went today the day before prom and they look amazing!! I had a sore on one of my toes not nasty just a scab but when doing my pedi she was sure it didn't hurt me. I agree with previous reviews about the rudeness of the employees. I made an appointment for 10:00 for a pedicure, they had one other customer waiting. The moved me to the chair at 10:45 and never said a word to me until I got up to leave at 11:15 - they asked "are you leaving"? I watched them help two other people who came in after me. It was my first and last experience here. The place is not very clean and I watched them reuse their nail files and other tools on each customer - not sanitary at all! I am currently sitting in a pedicure chair at Nails etc....been waiting an hour, older man seems upset that I dont like his roughness or haphazard exfoliation. This place is horrible!!!! When I first walked in the door I wasn't greeted. I had to say hello! Then a man asked what I needed in a not so friendly tone. I explained that I needed a fill but had gel polish on my nails. He did not understand me at all and had another worker ask me what I wanted and she translated. The fill was horrible!!! He put so much acrylic close to my cuticle which made my nails look super fake and thick!!! He shaped two of my nails crocked (had an almond shape before.) I asked him to fix the shape and I guess he tried but did not work. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more
