    Lots of good food.

They're easy to miss. They're on the corner of Sunset and Lava Flow in Santa Clara. There are no sombreros on the walls. There's a huge rush between 4:30 and 6:00. There's Birria and Chile Verde to die for, cheesy beans, real crema, homemade pico and brown rice with lime juice (try it!). They cater. Take some home.

Birria tacos. So good and so big.

If you're a fan of big flavor and big portions, this is the place for you. Pretty fast and always friendly service. Their food is great for the portions and quality of food you get. I love their street tacos (especially the Birria) and burritos. Their carne asada (anything) and steak nacho's are great. Parking is adequate during busy times as is seating inside/outside. We'll be back to try something else off their huge menu.

Enchiladas and tacos. Delicious. We really liked this restaurant! Give it a try if you love Mexican food. I'm so glad we went here because there is another Mexican Food restaurant in St. George that we love, but it is often busy, so this is a GREAT alternative to yummy food!

Almost a 2 Lbs Chicken Burrito!!! Two hands to hold this baby!

Back in town and decided to stop for lunch with my wife. Pretty much same place, new asphalt in parking area. Loamy still manning the front and calling out orders. Prices have increased as with everything. Had the grilled Chicken Burrito & my Wife had the 3 Fish Tacos. Burrito was $11.00 and weighed over 1 1/2 Lbs. Puts Cafe Rio to shame. Love their hot salsa & fresh guacamole!!! Very hard to eat it all. Fish Tacos were awesome!! As with our last visit this place is great. Customer service and food top notch. Place was very busy for 2:30 on a Saturday. See pics for our meal. Will be back for sure

YALL DONT EVEN KNOW WHATS UP... lamys is so BUSSIN!!!!!! I saw a lady review another restaurant saying she didn't even want to review it so it wouldn't get super popular..... that's kinda how I feel with lamys. Lamys has my heart and soul!!! there has not been one thing that hasn't made my mouth water from this place. GET ANYTHING and you will love it. breakfast burritos are my personal fave, the enchiladas will make me salivate AND the tacos AND the jugó de piña. You're life wont be the same once you try a lamys burrito. The portions are HUGE!!!!! There is no other way to do it.

What?!? Oh my my, the best tacos I've ever had!! I've driven past Lamy's for the past five years and never stopped in until today. Oh boy, my mistake, this is the best taco place I've ever been! Unbelievable!! My girlfriend wanted tacos, so we were headed off to her favorite taco joint when we had that conversation we've all had at one point or another... "Do you want to try somewhere new?" It's a gamble, we could be disappointed, or pleasantly surprised, go with the old known standby, our venture out and try something new. Today we chose to try something new, and wow, pleasantly surprised is an understatement! I promise, there is no way I could over hype these tacos, if you've not tried Lamy's, you have no idea what a great taco is! Why can't I give six stars?

We ordered a pepperoni pizza with mushrooms plus sausage and onions on one side; it was prepared as ordered. They have plenty of tables in two different areas. Great selection of drinks in a machine. They have a lunch special with personal sized pizzas. Lots of parking in a good location near the movie theaters. We will be back!

Our only complaint, and the reason I didn't give 5 stars was the service was SO SLOW. We waited about 20 minutes to get seated, totally understandable, but once we were seated it was about 15 minutes before we saw our waitress, then another 20 minutes before they brought our drinks(we ordered food the same time we ordered drinks). Once food came we saw her one time in the middle and then didn't see her again for another 30 minutes. We ordered desserts, waited about 15 minutes for those and didn't get one of our desserts delivered. So it was a rough service experience. My husband thinks the steak (locally raised) is one of the best steaks he's ever had. He also enjoyed their burgers. The tamarind glazed salmon and risotto dish, salads and mashed potatoes were my favorite, but truly, everything brought to the table was high-quality and delicious. Including the dessert (key lime pie and crème brûlée). Our server, Whitney, was wonderful. She is friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the menu and potential adjustments (made recommendations that accommodated my gluten-free diet). There are places you go... and then there are places that feel like you've finally come home…read more The Painted Pony is the latter. We adore slipping away for lunch and settling onto the patio, where the world softens--shade drapes gently overhead, birds sing as if they've been hired just for the occasion, and time... well, time slows down enough to breathe. The service is nothing short of immaculate--attentive in that quiet, effortless way that makes you feel seen without ever being interrupted. And the food... oh, the food. The bacon-wrapped dates must have been crafted in heaven... or perhaps meant for the gods and somehow gifted to us. The tuna melt was so transcendent I found myself wondering if I had ever truly tasted tuna before... or if I had just been living a lesser version of the experience all along. And the beef bourguignon... my heavens. It was as if your grandmother--if she were also a five-star chef--had been waiting for you, simmering something rich and soulful to welcome you back after a long journey. Even the tea felt royal... and the mocktails were so delightful, so thoughtfully made, that not once did we miss the alcohol. The Painted Pony isn't just a meal... it's a return.

Tucked into the Tower Building, this New American restaurant nails the Southwestern-meets-fine-dining vibe: intimate indoor seating with contemporary regional art, fresh flowers, and soft lighting, plus a charming patio for when the weather cooperates. It feels romantic and relaxed without being stuffy--perfect for date night or a special occasion while visiting southern Utah.c91b9be2267e Service was attentive and friendly without hovering. Our server knew the menu well and made solid wine recommendations (they've got a nice list, and no-corkage Mondays are a nice touch if you BYO from a Utah store). Portions are generous for the price point--definitely not the tiny-plate nonsense you sometimes get at fine-dining spots. We started with the carrot jalapeño soup (bright, flavorful, and a nice kick) and the baked brie, which was rich and perfectly paired with the seasonal chutney and crostini. For mains, the bone-in pork chop and the hanger steak were highlights--well-cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor from the fresh ingredients and thoughtful sauces. The sides (mac & cheese and haricot verts) were solid too. We finished with the key lime pie, which was a bright, creamy winner. One note, though: pass on the crab cakes. They're a menu staple (around $16, served with something like pomegranate salsa or poblano aioli depending on the season), but ours were mostly filler with a noticeably fishy taste. Not worth the spot on the table when there are so many stronger starters and entrées.781e4d Overall, we'd happily return to The Painted Pony. It's one of the better fine-dining options in St. George--great atmosphere, strong service, and mostly excellent food at reasonable prices for what you get. Just skip the crab cakes and you'll have a winner of a meal. 4/5 stars. Recommended for visitors and locals alike. Reservations advised, especially on weekends.

From the moment we arrived, every dish was exceptional. The salad was fresh and beautifully prepared, the pork belly was absolutely outstanding, and the steak was cooked to perfection with the most incredible seasoning. Every bite was memorable. The biscuit was unreal--warm, comforting, and honestly one of the best I've ever had. What touched me most was the homemade ice cream. One spoonful instantly brought me back to childhood memories of my dad making homemade ice cream for us when we were kids. It was such a special and unexpected gift to relive those moments. But what truly made the evening unforgettable was our server, Parthee. She was absolutely amazing. Her kindness, attentiveness, and genuine warmth made us feel so welcomed and cared for. She didn't just provide excellent service--she made our night. Our family has been through a lot, including the heartbreaking loss of my sister. We placed our appetizer and drink orders and later dinner. We simply ordered the trout, crab Mac and cheese and I ordered the duck. The Water Mellon Pork belly came out first. The pork belly was tough and hard not like times past. We really needed a steak knife and 1/2 of the 2 portions we ordered was not edible. The trout and crab mac came out and I waited and waited not 10 min but nearly 30 minutes for the duck. I spoke to our waitress and I think the manager and they kept saying it takes more time to prepare. At about 25 minutes I canceled my duck as my wife and friend were done with their meal. I was given just excuses and no explanation. I suggested that since they KNOW the duck takes longer to prepare they should have started that first. I was told by the two I spoke too that they put in the order and it's started in that order so my duck was last. So the so called Chef's who should know the duck takes longer blew it along with the wait staff. In every restaurant setting I've been in, the chef would to start what takes longer first so the table of two or more would be served at the SAME time. But not here at Wood Ash Rye. As mentioned this was one of at least four other times here. But in our years absence, the familiar faces were gone, the so called Chefs looked like line cooks and the wait staff was clueless on how to make things right. Sad....we won't be back.
