We love Lamy's!!! Every time we are in the area we stop by this amazing little restaurant. The food is awesome and the portions are massive!

Came here with family yesterday on our way up north. We were looking for authentic Mexican food and this was well worth the ten minute drive. The food is made to order and it was delicious. The staff was friendly and the place was cute. I love how they painted their windows with One Piece characters for the new release. We were hoping to like Lamy's food, but, left very disappointed! We both ordered Burritos (grilled chicken and a steak), chips and salsa and sodas. Yes, they are huge, but, tasteless! No sauce or cheese, dry, cracked tortilla and hard. They charge $4.35 for chips and one cup of salsa and two sodas $6.40. Total came to $45.01! Our family love Mexican food. We were visiting family and didn't know where to go to get food. Yelp showed Lamy's with good reviews so we decided to go there. They have a great menu with a lot of food dishes to pick from. My husband ordered their chicken burrito with rice, black beans, sour cream lettuce and hot sauce. It was huge! It could feed two people. He didn't finish it which was a first. He liked it a lot. My daughter and son-in-law whom had the Birrita burrito with everything on it. We called it in and picked it up. Not doing it for me! Ordered the asada burrito. While it was big as advertised, the tortilla was dry and just broke apart so it was a mess to try and eat. The asada was dry and flavorless, not much sauce included in the burrito and if you want more it's additional cost. Plenty of MX places in STG. I will search for something better. read more

They're easy to miss. They're on the corner of Sunset and Lava Flow in Santa Clara. There are no sombreros on the walls. There's a huge rush between 4:30 and 6:00. There's Birria and Chile Verde to die for, cheesy beans, real crema, homemade pico and brown rice with lime juice (try it!). They cater. Take some home. read more

If you're a fan of big flavor and big portions, this is the place for you. Pretty fast and always friendly service. Their food is great for the portions and quality of food you get. I love their street tacos (especially the Birria) and burritos. Their carne asada (anything) and steak nacho's are great. Parking is adequate during busy times as is seating inside/outside. Back in town and decided to stop for lunch with my wife. Pretty much same place, new asphalt in parking area. Loamy still manning the front and calling out orders. Prices have increased as with everything. Had the grilled Chicken Burrito & my Wife had the 3 Fish Tacos. Burrito was $11.00 and weighed over 1 1/2 Lbs. Puts Cafe Rio to shame. Love their hot salsa & fresh guacamole!!! Very hard to eat it all. Fish Tacos were awesome!! As with our last visit this place is great. Customer service and food top notch. I'll eat just about anywhere once... If I go again (and again) it's because the food is consistently good and at a reasonable price. Service can be hit or miss for me and I don't care so long as my food is having a good day! That said, Lamy's is on my list of reliably great food - every single time - and it's a huck-load of good food at a good price. It automatically becomes my lunch the next day. My favorite is the enchiladas because it comes with three (3!) and I choose chicken, Lamy's Pork, and steak. Oh my gawd, the flavors ... and the meat is generously packed in each tortilla. What?!? Oh my my, the best tacos I've ever had!! I've driven past Lamy's for the past five years and never stopped in until today. Oh boy, my mistake, this is the best taco place I've ever been! Unbelievable!! My girlfriend wanted tacos, so we were headed off to her favorite taco joint when we had that conversation we've all had at one point or another... "Do you want to try somewhere new?" It's a gamble, we could be disappointed, or pleasantly surprised, go with the old known standby, our venture out and try something new. The counter service was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is like any fast food place. I had the birria, which was very flavorful. My husband had the pork Chile Verde, which I thought was excellent. I didn't like it as a bowl. Too soupy. Very surprised at how fresh, healthy, n tasty it was. Just a small place I thought I would give it a try and so glad I did. I had a shredded beef taco with all toppings, there were huge chunks of beef that were so tender it just fell apart as if it was a pot roast! I'll be going back to try other items on the menu. I don't know who taught them how to make a fish taco. But I can help. Don't put rice and beans on a fish taco and especially don't put rice and beans on a corn tortilla because it turns into a pile. Who doesn't know that? Also, fish tacos ordered standard are usually fried chunks. Not tiny, dry, flavorless cubes. I've had many fish tacos. So... if you like microwaved styrofoam this is definitely going to be a place you need to try. Get the cheese enchiladas! It's just a raw tortilla rolled with shredded cheese and doused with sauce. They then take this and put the entire styrofoam into the microwave and blast it! Don't worry, you won't burn your mouth on the contents of the cheese enchiladas. One you get pst the molten outer layer of sauce, the shredded cheese still has the delightful cool feel of the refrigerator and still has that shredded cold texture we all crave! read more

I came here one time a couple of years ago and I remember asking the chef what was good there with a little bit of an attitude he actually said everything is good here so I said OK well what's the most popular and he directed me to a Birria burrito.
