They did have a great salsa bar with many levels of spice plus fresh vegetables (radishes, cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes and onions). They had a good variety of drinks. No table service. Tucked away in an unassuming strip mall on Bluff Street, you'll find Sanchez Mexican Food. It's a fantastic, authentic restaurant with terrific service. Absolutely delicious breakfast burritos! We got the sausage and egg as well as a mixed of ham and bacon. All of the ingredients were cooked perfectly - bacon was crispy without being too charred and in decent sized pieces instead of crumbles. The potatoes weren't mushy and the distribution of ingredients inside was spot on - you never got too much of any one ingredient. The burritos came out piping hot and fresh and paired perfectly with the salsa bar. We will definitely be back whenever we are in town! I read the stats on Yelp and thought since I'm in the area I'd give it a try. When I walked in, it just felt right. I loved that I could pick my own lime wedges, sauces and the like with mini containers and the optional plastic bag. I ordered a #12 with Carnitas, a burrito plate with beans and rice. I judge the quality off those two things alone, if they are good the rest will follow suit. They were delicious! When I started on my burrito I was very pleased with the quality of meat. The onions were HOT and left a bitter aftertaste. The rest of my party loved their tacos but felt the same. We also ordered fountain drinks only to get no carbonation and weak syrup. Finally, we found a GREAT Mexican food restaurant. My favorite is the Chile Relleno, so authentic and good. My wife loves the beef soup which is very rustic and a hearty soup. And we also ordered tacos with everything on them and they were great too. Beans and rice were tasty too. My only critique would be the salsa was ok. The green was tasty and flavorful but was thin. Too thin. Red salsa was way too thin, good flavor though and enough heat but tasted watered down. And the pico was very tomato-e. Missing some salt and jalapeño maybe? My family and I decided to try Sanchez Mexican restaurant while visiting St. George from Vancouver, BC. I love Mexican food, and had read some positive reviews. Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately greeted by the owner, who explained the menu, and made some great suggestions. She was totally willing to tailor the menu to fit our needs and desires. When the food came out, we were encouraged to stop at the condiment bar to try some of the fresh, homemade salsas, pickled veggies, and sliced lime. Our meals were cooked to perfection, and loaded with flavour, including all of the nuances that make Mexican food so delicious, unlike most Mexican restaurants in the US, that water down the whole experience. The owners take great pride in their restaurant, and it shows in everything they do. They are warm and inviting, and serve delicious food. What more is there? I highly recommend this restaurant if you looking for authentic, delicious Mexican food. There is no Mariachi band, no giant margaritas, or any of the other "touristy " attractions needed to get patrons into other Mexican restaurants. This place is the real deal for quality Mexican food! We have been there several times. Including with our picky son who has many great culinary skills and lived among Hispanics as did I in two cities in Mexico. The food is authentic and very flavorful. What my wife and I have had there includes the chile relleno plate (2 chiles rellenos with rice and beans) as well as an enchilada plate with a chicken and a cheese enchilada.
