I asked her to get me back to the cut I had before (which was by a different stylist, about 5 weeks prior). I swear Allie read my hair like a fortune teller. I was extremely happy with the look she achieved! I got a post-cut shampoo, blow dry, and style. And I was definitely stylin' when I left the place. HOAI CALLED ME INSANE AND THREATEN TO SUE ME FOR WRITING A REVIEW, ALSO WANTED TO CHARGE ME FOR HARASSMENT WHEN I WAS JUST TRYING TO CLARIFY SHE WOULDNT HONOR WHAT SHE SAID WHEN I FIRST SIGNED UP! I had my first facial with Hoai's facial program back in March at her fountain valley location and was advertised a bunch of services .. microdermabrasion, this machine that tightens your skin, photo facial, etc. and had a great experience.. At the end of the facial, Christine, who was the tech at the time stated if I become a "member" of their program, I'd get 3 months of facials for $450.. At the time i thought that was a great offer and enrolled immediately and received a certificate and signed a paper. Fast forward a couple months, I get a call from Hoai June 11th stating she needed money to get this location going, so she told me about this crazy good deal where if I paid $500 upfront, I'd get another 6 mo (instead of the usual 3 months). Hoai charged my card but I never signed anything nor did I get a Contract or certificate. She also never once mentioned to me the Fountain Valley location would close and she'd eventually only have clients get facials at this location only. I also noticed during this time I wasn't getting all the services I was advertised with in the beginning when I first enrolled and it was due to one of the machines breaking and her taking the other machines to this location.. meaning her clients at Fountain Valley wasn't getting what they signed up for. I had ask her to return my 2nd membership a month ago (she never mentioned to me eventually I wouldn't be able to be seen at Fountain Valley) and she said it would take about 2 weeks. A month later I'm texting her to schedule my remainder facials I have left from my FIRST membership, and that's when she finally texts a picture of this location and confirmed my appt time and to go here cause Fountain Valley closed. I told her it's too far (I'm from Long Beach) and I'd like my refund immediately due to her not mentioning anything about this new location. Hoai once again tells me she can't refund and that it's stated in the contract (I never signed a 2nd one and when I ask her for the copy of the "contract" she doesn't reply). Hoai also stated I can no longer finish my remainder facials from my FIRST membership and even called me insane! Just because I'm asking for a refund on the 2nd membership doesn't mean she can take back her words of stating I can still finish off the remainder of my first membership.. She didn't even offer credit for the remaining facials either and stated shed try to charge me for harassment with her attorney if I continued to text her when I was only trying to finish my remaining facials and was trying to clarify she wouldn't honor the rest anymore. Please please do yourself a favor and know what kind of business you're dealing with and the customer service Hoai provides to her clients for her facial membership program. For those of you who still decides to pay the lump-sum money upfront first and are "promised" an X amount of facials, please at least have something in writing regarding when you schedule your appts (even cancellations or reschedules) and also if she offers "free facials" or "credit" for a mishap or referring someone, please also have it written in some paper or text form.. Hoai is horrible at keeping track of how many facials clients have had, and also forgets when she tells you she's giving you a "bonus" or "free" one. I didn't think it'd have to come to this, but I'm so glad most of our conversations were thru text for me to prove what I'm saying. I mentioned to Hoai I would write a review share my experience and she even threaten to sue me for "defamation of her business".

I saw a tik tok (@blackgirlssmellgood) recommending this salon and specifically Fadelia so I decided to give it a try. The install itself is great and I have no complaints, but the experience was not the best. I went in for a consultation which I usually never do but I was really glad to go. I wanted to buy some hair for a sew in. I told her I wanted a more yaki/relaxed texture to match my natural leave out. She showed me a few different bundles and I picked a straight and textured bundle, exactly what I was looking for and was happy. She said it was $116 a bundle which I feel like is a little high for a 14 inch.... I also peeped that I said I wanted a 16 inch too and the price was the same, meaning she just made up her prices as she went. I go in for my appointment and the first red flag was she went and got the hair to start installing and the bundles were still in the bag. Gross. Always wash the hair before an install. There's been stories of lice and dirt from vendors and it's basic hygiene to make sure that nasty factory dirt isn't getting into anyones head. And I know it was from a random factory because the hair is cheap but more on that later. Second red flag was she was installing curly hair. Who's hair is this??? I picked straight bundles, and there is no way I could have made that mistake because I never wear curly. They were a silky curly texture, not ugly but not what I asked for. I knew I had to go home and wash the hair myself so I didn't say anything because I can flat iron it no problem. So I go home and flat iron it the same day, and realize how cheap this hair is. The ends were so thin I had to trim them. The hair is giving beauty supply or aliexpress. This wouldn't be bad if it's what I asked for. When it was time to pay she told me the install was $300 which is $25-50 more than what she originally told me during the consultation. She made up prices and swapped the good hair she had on display for cheap ones. Knowing this hair is cheap it will not last long, so almost $400 for bundles that will probably only hold me a month is CRAZY! I didn't want to be so negative about a black owned business, but once I told my friend about my experience she told me I should complain and try to get a refund. I have a feeling Fadelia won't offer me this so I didn't bother asking, even though I feel like I deserve one. If anyone decides to go to this salon BRING YOUR OWN HAIR and take extra time out of your schedule because the stylists do bounce around from client to client. (Picture notes: see how the price before with 2 bundles of 14 inches and one 16 inch was $342 and the final price with 3 14 inches was higher at $348. How did that math work? So disappointing.
