The day after purchasing tickets I received a text from an unknown number with a link, no explanation just a link. I never click on a link from unknown numbers so the text was deleted. After receiving an email I guessed the text had something to do with my tickets so I called ticketcity, yes the text was for my tickets. I requested another text or email but only received excuse after excuse. Multiple calls over several days with one excuse after another and no tickets. Poor customer service that will not or can not make decisions to solve issues. This was my first and last time using ticketcity. Absolute trash! I wish I could give them less stars. Over about 10 emails, 3 calls, 2 attempted transfers, I still never got my tickets. Every time I emailed, I received a reply from a DIFFERENT PERSON so there was 0 continuity of care and the agents basically just continued to restate the same thing different ways. I filed a complaint with my credit card company because I genuinely never want to have to interact with another one of their customer service representatives again. I have waited 10 days while TicketCity has told me they're "investigating". They have my $327, I didn't receive the tickets in time, and now I'm getting the runaround. Please see the attached screenshots that support the massive issues that caused us to miss this event. - I placed this order nearly 5 months in advance as a gift for my daughter's birthday. She is a freshman at UT and this was going to be our first game to attend together. This order was placed on April 28, 2021, and the attached order confirmation clearly states that I would receive the tickets by 9/2/21 for the 9/4/21 event. - When they did not arrive on 9/2/21, I called TicketCity customer care on the morning of 9/3/21 to inquire. With the game being the next day I was obviously concerned. The customer care agent stated that the tickets were supposed to arrive by the end of the day 9/3/21, which contradicted the email confirmation, but I trusted their word and agreed to wait. - I called TicketCity customer care again near the close of business on 9/3/21 to inquire as the tickets had not arrived all day. Again, I was told they had until midnight to send them to me and all I could do was wait. I was told to call the next morning at 8am when the TicketCity customer care opened if they had not arrived. - They did not arrive and I called TicketCity customer care at 8am on Saturday 9/4/21. I was placed on hold for 20 minutes as the agent contacted the home office to track down my tickets. They came back online and said that they reached the broker and stated that the tickets were being transferred by the start of the game. - I live an hour away from the stadium. I asked several times on my calls to customer care if I could cancel the order and have replacement tickets provided, and was told I could not each time. I did not want to risk driving all the way to downtown Austin, paying for parking, walking to the stadium, waiting around outside in the hopes that the tickets would in fact arrive by the start of the game. Especially after being told multiple times that they would arrive by deadlines, only to have that not happen. My trust in the word of the customer care agents was gone. As you can see from the attached screenshot showing the eventual ticket arrival/transfer notification, they arrived after the start of the game. I did not accept them and my day with my daughter was completely ruined. Like I said in my initial email, I would like a full refund immediately...at the least. NEVER BUY TICKETS, PURCHASE FROM VENUE. THEY CHARGE OVER 300% MORE THAN SELLER!! MANAGER OFFERED REFUND, SUPPORT DENIED IT. The tickets purchased were 300% of the cost to purchase the same tickets from the venue (see attached screenshots). The business manager offered a partial refund of $100 upon seeing my initial review and told me to contact TicketCity directly. I called support (placed on hold and hung up on after 10 minutes). I used LiveChat support. The first LiveChat individual did not know who James R. was (the manager who offered the refund). The final support representative denied the refund stating there was no record of such an offer. She also declined to let me contact a supervisor for additional support (see screenshots). James Reilly (Customer Service Director) states in many reviews that their costs are that of the venue with Ticket City's third party fee (appears to be 30%) on top to cover their business expenses. Makes sense... however, this is 300% false. I found the same tickets for less than 1/3rd the price (no discounts) from the venue. The admin. fees were roughly $80 and $15 for "Special Delivery" charges on the invoice ($355 - $95 This business model is legal though highly unethical and I now have a new hobby of investigating Ticket City's business practices. Unfortunately for James R. and "Jennie" in customer support, I also have written correspondence that appears to be fraudulent in that it is misleading and misrepresentative of actual business practices in addition to a false claim of refund that was not acted upon. This claim was likely only a tactic for those reading reviews to assume TicketCity is willing to work with disgruntled customers, which they are not. Technically they do not have to refund me a cent as their policies are well documented and I did receive the purchased goods (unlike many reviewers on here). However, the problem in this scenario lies in your fake online customer service and problem resolution. The next problem I seek to assist my fellow man in resolving is that no one reads these reviews until they have already run into issues and thus more will fall victim. I bought two tickets to a concert. They emailed me a link to the tickets, but every time I tried to access it I got a message that something went wrong. I tried multiple times and the link never worked. I eventually had to cancel my hotel and dog sitter as I'm 100 miles from the venue. I asked multiple time to get my money back and they kept repeating the same thing "we sent you the tickets" (they did not, they sent a bad link) and their policy is not refunds. They did not deliver and they have to power to satisfy their customer by giving me my money back. I bought my tickets two months in advance and received an email stating I would be sent my tickets by Sep. 2 (my event was Sep. 4). Sep. 2 goes by and after two SMS attempts without response, an email without response, and two phone calls where I was on hold for a total of an hour I finally speak to someone only to be told that I have "assurance" that I will receive my tickets by the "end of the day on Sep. 3"...nevermind I was supposed to receive them by Sep. 2. After additional questioning the call was either accidentally dropped or the representative hung-up on me. After I left a 'less than positive' review, I immediately receive an email stating the same Sep. 3 deadline. I call again later that day, hold for another 45 minutes, then after speaking with someone, get put on hold and then either get accidentially dropped or hung-up on again. After a few hours I call again at 10:00 pm, because still no tickets. I hold for another hour before speaking to a surprisingly helpful representative that says I'll receive my tickets "before the event." I asked her why the deadline keeps changing, and she cannot answer, but gives me the number to the insurance for which I luckily bought. The day of the event came and I waited on hold literally two and half hours as I'm driving to the event. The attendant gave me the same "assurance" I had received in past convrsations that I would receive my tickets "before the event," then the call was dropped again after additional questioning. I ended up receiving my tickets an hour later which was 3 hours before the event. We live 3 hours away, so I had to make the drive on faith that TicketCity would deliver. In the end, TicketCity did deliver my tickets, but this was after several missed deadlines, many hours on hold, and a lot of frustration and stress. If the job of TicketCity is as the website says, "to make it easier for fans to get tickets," then they really need to take a hard look at their business model. After several phone calls and attempts to find a satisfactory solution, TicketCity.com went ahead and issued me a full refund of my charge, along with a $700.00 credit to use on future purchases. From what I've been told, the seller made the error in listing the wrong section for the seats. As a result of that, TicketCity.com informed me they will no longer purchase tickets from this seller in the future. While I am disappointed I was not able to get the original seats I purchased, I thank TicketCity.com for honoring their guarantee and for giving me the credit to make up for the error. read more

A group of 8 moms and 9 teenage boys went to Seattle for a mother/son trip and we wanted to take the boys to the Seattle Mariners game. Never use this company!!! My husband thought he was using a direct ticket sale site to buy concert tickets, but ended up with this one. They charged him $113 for tickets to a concert, that ended up being a rehearsal! He was assured it was a concert and issued fake tickets because there were no reserved seats. Checkout page didn't work. Called customer service and was told the tickets I was purchasing at the time were not "in my cart" so it was a free for all. When the checkout page turned blank I was told that the tickets had been sold to someone else while I was checking out. I called customer service and spoke to a live agent neither were willing to help get me to a similar price point. I did ask for a coupon but the 10% off coupon doesn't get me nearly close to what I was going to spend. The sales person tried to upsell me tickets at the top of the stadium for a "similar cost" but it was nearly $500 to sit at the top in which the tickets I was going to purchase were a total of $400. You lost my business and my faith in your company. Also telling someone to go to PayPal when it's clearing an issue on your end as admitted by your sales team is negligent as you already admitted to being at fault. Scam artists. When picking up my tickets to a game at Wrigley Field, they told me they did not have the seats I bought but had seats in the same section that were closer to the field. I accepted these closer seats as the game was that night. Well, the seats were closer to the field and in the same section, but they were directly behind a pole. We couldn't even see home plate without leaning into the person on either side of us. I sent an email to them asking about the bait and switch, but never heard back. Don't trust them. I've done business with TicketCity for over a decade. I've gotten tickets to some of the most popular shows in Austin and to the most run of the mill UT sporting events. Each time they have been clear when there were possible issues created by the timing of my purchase or the manner in which I CHOOSE to have the tickets delivered. They are reasonable. They have never gouged or taken advantage of the fact that they have the only tickets left for an event. When I have had an issue, like the inability to attend an event, they have always been willing to work with me to find a solution. If you really want to know the truth on Yelp you have to look at the people giving 1 star reviews. Do they have a range of reviews or do they just jump on and dump a 1 star on someone when they feel like they aren't pandered to like the unique and special snowflake their mommies promised them they were. We bought 2 tickets at $80 each for the Stars on Ice performance in Montreal. The time on the ticket stated 8 pm. When we arrived we found out the show started at 7 pm instead. Ticket City guarantee says all tickets are authentic and identical and the guarantee is the return of any payments made. It also references peace of mind. When we called to complain we requested at least 50% refund but the most the supervisor would offer was a $50 voucher for future tickets and pointed out the small print disclaimers. We are so dissatisfied we would never patronized TicketCity again. And clearly the written guarantee is worthless to the management.
