Seems like I can never say enough about this place! The owners care so much about their business and their customers, and that care has obviously been passed onto the staff. The customer service is always so friendly and fun. The patio is by far our favorite beachside patio. And the live music is SO GOOD! They mix it up and keep it fresh, so it's always guaranteed to entertain. We continue bringing all our out-of-town guests here, over and over - and T&T has become one of their favorite places, too! Third visit to Tide & Tonic. Third bad experience. Unfortunately, there won't be a fourth. The first two times I came in, I sat at the bar for roughly 20 minutes without anyone even acknowledging me, much less taking an order. Both times, I finally gave up and left. Tonight I decided to give it one more try. It's beachfront, it's a beautiful location, and I really wanted to like this place. I ordered the salmon, which was around $30. It was so dry I couldn't eat it, and it tasted freezer-burned to me. The sauce tasted manufactured rather than fresh, the rice was fine, and the green beans were completely bland. I took essentially one bite and stopped eating. What made it worse was the service. My virtually untouched dinner sat in front of me for several minutes without anyone checking to see whether everything was okay....even though the restaurant was not remotely busy and appeared to have plenty of staff. I also ordered a spicy skinny margarita, which was surprisingly syrupy-sweet. I drank it because I wasn't about to let perfectly good tequila go to waste, but it wasn't a good margarita. To their credit, when someone finally came over and I explained that I couldn't eat the salmon, they removed the entrée from my bill. I appreciated that and think it's important to mention it. But three visits tell a story. Twice I couldn't get served at all. The third time I finally got served, but the food, cocktail, and attentiveness were all disappointing. For a beachfront restaurant at this price point, I simply expect better. Great location, enormous potential, but based on my three experiences, I won't be back. The best thing that happened tonight was meeting a fellow writer sitting next to me at the bar. Unfortunately, Tide & Tonic can't take credit for that. Nice menu options in a clean-looking and well-decorated restaurant and bar. There's also an outside area, but we didn't explore it because we prefer the A/C when the heat index is this high. We shared a delicious burrata appetizer, which came with a generous helping of cheesy toast crisps, broiled grape tomatoes, and of course balsamic reduction. It was delicious and we knew not to finish it all or we wouldn't have room for our entrees. If you're really hungry and can eat a lot this would be a great appetizer to share, but you'd have to have a reeeeally large appetite to eat one on your own along with a dinner entree. We both ordered the fresh pompano, one broiled and one blackened, both of which were delicious. The entrees came with a zucchini and yellow squash side and a large helping of rice. The vegetable side was a little heavy on the oil/butter. The rice didn't have too much flavor and so we both left the majority of the rice, but all in all it was a pretty decent dinner due to the appetizer and the nicely cooked pompano. We were unfortunate enough to be there at the same time as a couple who were apparently food critics or "influencers," and we had to listen to the woman go on and on and on about how she doesn't like crab cakes and she's never had a crab cake she'd order again, and maybe it's just because she doesn't really like crab that much, or maybe it's because it's crab and cake, yadda yadda yadda. And, of course, everything they said and ate had to be videoed and photos snapped by the guy, which didn't matter to us, but the constant loud commentary really killed the ambiance. I suppose there's nothing that the staff could say to them about that since they wanted a good write-up, but the real annoyance came when it seemed that all the staff was focused on impressing this couple, including our server. We got our bill, but then waited and waited for our server to come back to run our credit card. Finally, we stood up by our table, which didn't seem to help. Then, my husband flagged down another server going by and asked her to run it, which seemed to finally break the spell and sent our server running back to us. By this time, we'd had it and our usual 20+% tip shrunk down quite a bit. read more

From the moment we were about to walk in the door, the manager was aggressively rude about my service dog who is always in a stroller so he is as close to my heart as possible. She took one look and said he wasn't going inside. She didn't ask if he was a service dog. She didn't ask if he is trained or what is he trained to do. So I explained he is a service dog. So we came inside and a good vibe young man told us we can sit anywhere. It was a while before a very young man, a child, came to ask us what we'd like to drink. The manager delivered our iced teas. She asked what we wanted to eat and when I said I'd like the NY Strip medium and could I have a little horseradish sauce on the side she abruptly shut that down. She could have said she could check to see if there was some left over from yesterday. So I asked if maybe there was some left over. She said she'd look but I started feeling nausea about the whole thing and suddenly wasn't so hungry. Her vibe sent daggers in my heart. It seemed to us that she was really pissed off about my service dog, and she visibly treated us harshly compared to the couple that was sitting a few tables away from us. Thankfully, Alli started taking care of us and her beautiful energy was a lot more relaxing. We were able to finish our meal on a good note and even have a little caramel cheesecake. In three years, this is only the second manager that was immediately and unnecessarily negative about my service dog. He has gone to every restaurant and everywhere I go when I leave the house. I still don't understand why so many managers or servers don't understand the ADA guidelines for how to treat people with service animals. Every manager should be required to read the ADA guidelines. They don't realize the impact they have on people who are already vulnerable. read more

We are from West Palm Beach, but my husband is working up here on a job. We are always looking for new restaurants to try and Cocoa Beach doesn't seem to have that many to offer so when we passed this place, they were having a car show and we thought let's try this. I'm so glad we stopped! I don't know what I was expecting maybe more of a dive bar but when we walked in the decor was clean and beautiful and their menu was awesome. My husband had a smashed burger with jalapeño cream cheese and buffalo sauce. I had the dill pickled chicken sandwich, which was delicious and I tasted his burger. That was also delicious. Allie our server made a Mean Margarita!! She was delightful and super helpful with the menu. My husband also had their clam chowder which he said was really tasty and he didn't even have to add salt or pepper. We were lucky enough to meet the owner. I believe her name was Christie. My party and I went early on a Friday evening (around 4:30pm) with only two other tables sitting in the inside dining area with us. Clean and decorated nicely was a good sign but unfortunately it went down hill from there. Our waitress was clearly new at serving, was very frazzled and not able to answer any questions about the food or drink menu without getting help from someone else, which is fine, but became frustrating. We started with a simple drink order, however, each one had to be repeated to her multiple times as she just didn't understand the difference between vodka, rum or tequila. Nor did she know how to ring it up on her ordering pad she carried and was using. Again, very frustrating for such simple drink orders. The drinks themself were so watered down and lacked any flavor, while another was completely wrong but we pushed through. I ordered the Crab Bisque to start and asked for it with my meal... it was goop! Completely gelatinous. The texture was extremely offputting, and there was no flavor, absolutely as bland as it could be. It was anything BUT a bisque, it was a chowder and a horrible one at that. We all ordered burgers/ sandwiches. My friends had the "smash burger" and was asked how she would like it cooked? (Odd) It came out well done as any smash patty has to and was just 2 regular thin patties and far from a smash. Again, their menu is stating something they do not offer. My chicken sandwich was fried in what smelled, tasted and looked like OLD oil. Being a new restaurant, that seems hard to achieve, but there it was! Absolutely had no flavor, an obvious strange and off putting texture and I had asked for the tomato and lettuce on the side.. it was on the sandwich which made the bread soggy (hence why I made the request) My other friend got the fried fish sandwich (unsure of the type of fish) with yet again the same gross batter that was fried in old oil. Again, she commented on how meh it was and just had no flavor. Fries were an extra $3! Fries usually come with burgers and sandwiches, but they offer chips. Waiting for the check was a 30 minute affair. We finally had to get someone else to find our waitress. This place was one of the biggest disappointments I've had in quite some time. We came on a Sunday morning at 11:30. It was Super Bowl Sunday to be exact. It was a bit slower than I expected but that's not a bad thing! We had a party of 12 and they sat us all together. They had great live music. My husband and I ordered the eggs Benedict. We also ordered pancakes for the girls. It was "good" but not great. The sauce was wet, creamy, and yellow but the flavor was lacking. The potatoes were very good! Everyone said their food was good, but no one said they'd get the same thing again. The service was superb. It's a place on the opposite of the road of the beach, with beach prices and great service. Will we back because the people were friendly? Let's start with the service, our server was upbeat and pleasant.... We came in around 3pm. It's was slow in the main portion of the dining area... the bartender Hannah saw us come in, but she did not greet us or even acknowledge us and that almost made us walk out the door. It was our first time visiting this restaurant. We decided to give it a try because of a Instagram advertisement. The advertisement was good because it got us in the door, but had we seen the restaurant before coming we may not have visited. The food was served quickly. The food was hot. The food was fresh. We got wings and the wings were sauced well and the vegetables, carrots and celery were super fresh, which was really appreciated. The ambience was lacking. It felt like we were sitting in the middle of a parking lot. Not a lot of ambience going on there. I don't think we'll be visiting again. I didn't get a warm welcoming feeling. read more

The Delmonico steak is absolutely amazing, cooked perfect and seasoned well...mouth watering. My wife's Longbeach Mahi was fresh and amazing. We will be coming back here often. So I can't give a review for food or drinks, because we never got that far. It was Saturday night at 7:00 pm. Yes prime time, but still no excuse. We walked into the inside part of the establishment and there was no hostess. Waiting a few minutes but no one even acknowledged our presence. So we walked out side to the bar area. Very loud music was playing. We sat our selves down at an empty table. And the bar tender made eye contact, but did not approach us. So we sat for a while expecting either him or another wait staff to approach. After 20 minutes, my choice was to get up and demand attention, or leave. This time we decided on leaving. So wtf. A great location with lots of potential but they miss the mark. When you are across the street from the ocean, you must have two things, especially in Florida. A great fun, coastal atmosphere and fantastic seafood. Tide and Tonic comes real close on that first element but falls well short on the second. The location is great, the place is inviting and set up well but the decor is all over the place. I get the theme they want but they try way too hard, especially in their outdoor area. The service is really good, very warm, friendly, and accommodating staff that are prompt and attentive. The food however leaves much to be desired. We had a crab cake appetizer. They were very greasy and the flavor was all over the place. The blackened grouper sandwich was better but still they take a great staple fish and destroy the flavor profile plus serve such a small portion especially for the price. That is another low mark for Tide and Tonic, their price point is very high, over where it should be in my opinion. In fairness, they said that their main dining room is still under renovation and their menu options will be expanding once finished so perhaps they will improve but I'm not extremely hopeful based on the conversation I over heard one senior staff member having with another guest, complaining about the character flaws of the owner. It seems like a nice and potentially fun spot to enjoy a beverage or two near the beach based on ambiance alone and it holds little more appeal at this point. read more

A rotten experience. It would appear to be a nice beach scene bar and restaurant, but the atmosphere is more like a child daycare. There's a lovely outdoor space that is used as a children playground where the kids run wild and run in and out of the restaurant with little supervision and no discipline. What a waste of a nice space. Definitely do not recommend. read more
