NY strip. Cut easy but not a lot of flavor. Not how we do them at home.
    Lisa B.

From the moment we were about to walk in the door, the manager was aggressively rude about my service dog who is always in a stroller so he is as close to my heart as possible. She took one look and said he wasn't going inside. She didn't ask if he was a service dog. She didn't ask if he is trained or what is he trained to do. So I explained he is a service dog. So we came inside and a good vibe young man told us we can sit anywhere. It was a while before a very young man, a child, came to ask us what we'd like to drink. The manager delivered our iced teas. She asked what we wanted to eat and when I said I'd like the NY Strip medium and could I have a little horseradish sauce on the side she abruptly shut that down. She could have said she could check to see if there was some left over from yesterday. So I asked if maybe there was some left over. She said she'd look but I started feeling nausea about the whole thing and suddenly wasn't so hungry. Her vibe sent daggers in my heart. It seemed to us that she was really pissed off about my service dog, and she visibly treated us harshly compared to the couple that was sitting a few tables away from us. Thankfully, Alli started taking care of us and her beautiful energy was a lot more relaxing. We were able to finish our meal on a good note and even have a little caramel cheesecake. In three years, this is only the second manager that was immediately and unnecessarily negative about my service dog. He has gone to every restaurant and everywhere I go when I leave the house. I still don't understand why so many managers or servers don't understand the ADA guidelines for how to treat people with service animals. Every manager should be required to read the ADA guidelines. They don't realize the impact they have on people who are already vulnerable.

We are from West Palm Beach, but my husband is working up here on a job. We are always looking for new restaurants to try and Cocoa Beach doesn't seem to have that many to offer so when we passed this place, they were having a car show and we thought let's try this. I'm so glad we stopped! I don't know what I was expecting maybe more of a dive bar but when we walked in the decor was clean and beautiful and their menu was awesome. My husband had a smashed burger with jalapeño cream cheese and buffalo sauce. I had the dill pickled chicken sandwich, which was delicious and I tasted his burger. That was also delicious. Allie our server made a Mean Margarita!! She was delightful and super helpful with the menu. My husband also had their clam chowder which he said was really tasty and he didn't even have to add salt or pepper. We were lucky enough to meet the owner. I believe her name was Christie. She was wonderful and we met her son and her husband as well. They have a beautiful place and you should definitely check this place out!

My husband and I had our little poodle and we sat on the outside patio had a lovely brunch experience at Tide and tonic on Sunday. A very friendly waiter served us great breakfast and the bloody Mary's were awesome.! And we enjoyed the live music too!

The food was pretty good. I had the fish tacos and they were well done. Drag catch of the day sandwich was well seasoned. Only one server and the rush was coming on strong so I am not sure how well those that came in after us fared. The new interior is bright and fresh. The patio seemed popular and the number of TVs definitely show they have not shed their sports bar tilt.

The outdoor area is a children's playground. What a disaster

If you like overpriced with kids running around wild and an unusable outdoor space with screaming kids, this place is for you!

Delicious food. We've been for both lunch and brunch. Outside area is fun and offers live music.

My party and I went early on a Friday evening (around 4:30pm) with only two other tables sitting in the inside dining area with us. Clean and decorated nicely was a good sign but unfortunately it went down hill from there. Our waitress was clearly new at serving, was very frazzled and not able to answer any questions about the food or drink menu without getting help from someone else, which is fine, but became frustrating. We started with a simple drink order, however, each one had to be repeated to her multiple times as she just didn't understand the difference between vodka, rum or tequila. Nor did she know how to ring it up on her ordering pad she carried and was using. Again, very frustrating for such simple drink orders. The drinks themself were so watered down and lacked any flavor, while another was completely wrong but we pushed through. I ordered the Crab Bisque to start and asked for it with my meal... it was goop! Completely gelatinous. The texture was extremely offputting, and there was no flavor, absolutely as bland as it could be. It was anything BUT a bisque, it was a chowder and a horrible one at that. We all ordered burgers/ sandwiches. My friends had the "smash burger" and was asked how she would like it cooked? (Odd) It came out well done as any smash patty has to and was just 2 regular thin patties and far from a smash. Again, their menu is stating something they do not offer. My chicken sandwich was fried in what smelled, tasted and looked like OLD oil. Being a new restaurant, that seems hard to achieve, but there it was! Absolutely had no flavor, an obvious strange and off putting texture and I had asked for the tomato and lettuce on the side.. it was on the sandwich which made the bread soggy (hence why I made the request) My other friend got the fried fish sandwich (unsure of the type of fish) with yet again the same gross batter that was fried in old oil. Again, she commented on how meh it was and just had no flavor. Fries were an extra $3! Fries usually come with burgers and sandwiches, but they offer chips. Waiting for the check was a 30 minute affair. We finally had to get someone else to find our waitress. This place was one of the biggest disappointments I've had in quite some time. Don't waist your time or money on their food or drinks. The only thing they have to offer is a good location and nice dining area

    Eggs Benedict with home fries.

We came on a Sunday morning at 11:30. It was Super Bowl Sunday to be exact. It was a bit slower than I expected but that's not a bad thing! We had a party of 12 and they sat us all together. They had great live music. My husband and I ordered the eggs Benedict. We also ordered pancakes for the girls. It was "good" but not great. The sauce was wet, creamy, and yellow but the flavor was lacking. The potatoes were very good! Everyone said their food was good, but no one said they'd get the same thing again. The service was superb. It's a place on the opposite of the road of the beach, with beach prices and great service. Will we back because the people were friendly? Yes and hopefully we will find something we can keep coming back for.

Florida decor is always fun to see.

It took sooooo long to get a spritz. So long I forgot I'd ordered it. She was never in sight. Always gone somewhere. Was her area too large or was she hiding in the kitchen? I was so excited to get the shaved ribeye sandwich but it was... a shaved burger patty??? I mean... literally. That IS what it was. NGL it tasted good but the burger on the menu is a "special blend" not a ribeye... and this was 100% a "shaved" burger patty advertised as a "shaved ribeye". Fries were typical bar food. Crispy though! Drinks were okay but not at all worth the price and time. (Was I spoiled by the last restaurant we'd visited in Brevard that had exceptional draft selections and great prices on everything? Maybe.) Beer was warm. The ONLY thing we absolutely loved was the entertainment. Joshua Keels was playing, we'd never heard of him but wow! Went and found him on Spotify it was so good. Covers and originals. It's amazing how live music can save a place like this. It would have been a 1-2* if not for entertainment. I mean... false advertising on the "shaved ribeye" has me reeling. Did not take pics like I normally would have bc... what was that even?

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more When it comes to the restaurants within Downtown Melbourne/Melbourne Main Street, I often stress that the ones on the edge of the river and/or marina are some of the best ones if you want a meal with a view. The Mansion and Chart House come to mind. The one my family wanted to go to was Ichabod's Bar & Grille. Unfortunately, its popularity exceeded its capacity and the waittime was over an hour. Ergo, we went to their sister location on Melbourne Beach, the one right across from Paradise Beach. Maybe, I was expecting a bit more as the Melbourne Beach location is the newer location meaning it had the OG to learn from, but it did not live up to that standard, at least the one I had in my head. Though an address is provided, this Ichabod's Bar & Grille - which I will shorthand simply to Ichabod's for the remainder of this review - is located as a stand-alone business right across the entrance to Paradise Beach. Ichabod's surely has that look of being a dockside restaurant despite being "landlocked," but good luck parking nearby. The parking situation has always been bad around the area. Inside, the seating is limited in which the majority of seating seems to be at the two bars. I guess Ichabod's is catering to a certain demographic pertaining to who dines inside. Outside, there are more tables for families and groups. That is where my family and I sat for our meal. Our waitress Jordanann, God bless her soul, was the only waitress working. She was running around like a chicken with their head cut off as she served everyone both inside and outside the restaurant. Despite her situation, she remained focused and kind. I definitely gave her a big tip for how hard she worked. As for the food, it was... well... okay. I always get fried fist fillets whenevere I come to a new seafood restaurant, along with crab cakes. There was shell in the crab cake, which I find to be a bit of a norm with a little piece, but there were some thoroughly recognizable pieces in my mouth when biting right in. And the fish, well... it was... okay. Not the best fish I ever had, but not bad where I would not finish it or at least take it home. Other food my family ordered includes the Mahi Sandwich, Our Burger, Shrimp Wrap, Caprese Burger, Jerk Mahi Plate, and the Jerk Shrimp Plate. Overall, the initial visit was very lacking. Though I do not fault the waitress herself, I do fault the restaurant for only having one waitress for this shift. I assume they are having a troublesome time keeping staff. I will definitely come back and give them a second chance. Can't just say Ichabod's is what they are over one visit, but for this initial visit, this is the kind of rating I would give them. If they improve over an average, i will reconsider changing the rating and updating the review.
