Atmosphere, service, and food was fantastic. Highly recommended. We enjoyed the flights we picked from the brewery. Food was delicious. Morgan was our waitress and she was very attentive and gave helpful suggestions. We will be back for the Monday oyster specials.

My husband and I had no idea this place was here, we just happened upon it after visiting another business nearby on a Saturday afternoon . We were drawn in by the interesting atmosphere and the hope for some good seafood - we were not disappointed! First, the ambience here is lovely - very sophisticated yet casual. Lots to choose from on the menu. We both had their beach blonde ale and liked it. As an appetizer, we ordered grilled oysters, which were amazing! I can't wait to go back and try the fire oysters! Husband had the crab cake sandwich and loved it. I had the fried seafood platter and loved it - the fried shrimp were some of the best I've ever had - delicate, crispy breading and the shrimp themselves were noticeably of great quality. All of my fried food was cooked to perfection. Service was attentive. Food prices were very reasonable, especially for the quality of what you get. Looking forward to returning- we needed this here!

First time here since Bunky's moved into this old Charlie & Jake's location. Impressed! The space is bright, open, and inviting now. The bar is beautiful. The staff were all very friendly and our bartender was right there anytime we needed anything. The food was tasty. Forgot to take a photo of the Crab Hushpuppies, but they're delicious. Cross between a crab cake, hush puppy, and a conch fritter IMO. I'm not a huge oysters fan, but the missus really liked their Fired Oysters, but she wished there were more (I believe that's always the case with tasty oysters, in my experience). Their wedge salad was good - interesting addition of candied pecans. I did feel like their menu was a little pricier than I'd expected, but I'll have to come back and try other things before I consider pricing a negative. Tried their Blonde Ale - it was fair. They have 7 total home brews in their Untappd library, and 4 were on tap. They had a decent selection of guest brews and cans though.

This place is excellent. From the fresh brewed beer to the freshly shucked oysters! If you're not a seafood person don't worry they have an amazing selection of rice bowls, salads and a delicious smash burger! The service is fantastic and the ambiance of the restaurant is unmatched. Definitely worth the visit! The manager Chris is absolutely outstanding.

Lemon Drop martini perfection by Mark! Seriously the best lemon martini I've ever had. Soft open currently and doing a fabulous job!

The food quality is solid and definitely a highlight. I ordered from the happy hour menu (3 sliders and 6 wings) during the recent US match, and the flavors were on point. Unfortunately, the service was a major letdown on what was a busier night. The waitresses are all very nice and friendly, but the execution was atrocious. We waited over an hour for our food, and beers were being delivered to other tables while we sat empty-handed. This was a major sporting event, so the restaurant should have been properly staffed and prepared for the rush. When we first arrived, the hostess looked completely overwhelmed with incoming guests and could have used some backup -- it seemed like she was trying to handle everything alone. I never saw a manager on the floor, which was noticeable because the staff clearly could have used some assistance to keep things running smoothly. With football season coming up, I'm hesitant to return on busier game days knowing how painfully slow things were this time. Hoping this was just an off night due to under-preparation for the event, because the potential is there with the good food and atmosphere. I'd love to give it another shot on a quieter visit, but the service needs serious improvement (especially better staffing for known big nights) to make it a reliable go-to spot.

Even though we arrived early, the line to get in was wrapped around the building. Wynfield's looks unassuming from the outside yet its surprisingly large once you enter. Drinks are reasonably priced and staff did a great job keeping up with the masses. The bar area is huge and takes up a lot of space, but I don't wish it gone; if I was a local here, I would say it's iconic to the venue and evokes a sense of nostalgia to the staff and their customers. There is a decent sized dancefloor in front of the main stage however the stage is not high enough for everyone in the back to get a good view of the band. The overall sound here was pretty good; however, the lighting was horrible. I probably took 200 photos and maybe 25 of them came out great. What's up with the green, red, and blue lighting for the entire show??? Please add some white lighting in there so we can see what the hell is going on. Oh yeah, and the smoke machines only enhance the poor lighting situation so, please keep the smoke down to a few songs, thank you! All-in-all, the two bands, Whiplash (Metallica Tribute) and the Iron Maidens really killed it on this night. Wynfield's is just small enough that we had a chance to meet with the musicians after the show for a photo op, Love this! The server was miserable and treated us terribly. She rolled her eyes multiple times at us and was rude to my son when he ordered his food. I told her that he also wanted wings (eye roll) and she said "well, I didn't hear him order wings, so I didn't HEAR HIM". He is 12, he isn't a little child, and the way she interacted was horrible. Food came out and we never saw her again. She never refilled drinks and she avoided our table like we were the plague. Then, LOL I asked the hostess if they could do something for his birthday and they said they would let our waitress know. I joked with my kids dad and step mom that she's probably going to be farther annoyed that we asked, an lo and behold, she came over to the table and said "yeah, we don't do birthdays here". The website literally says "celebrate your birthday with us!" ‍ We were trying to talk to a manager on our way out, but she told us they were too busy to talk to us. This latest visit was a perfect example of why many longtime customers are giving up. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon, the kind of day when this place used to be packed with people waiting for a table. Instead it was surprisingly quiet and the inside bar was empty which should have tipped us off. After our recent experience, it's obvious why. We waited for over an hour for two sandwiches. Not a complicated order. Not a huge party. Two sandwiches. During that entire time, there was no sense of urgency from the bar waitress, no effort to keep us informed and no indication that anyone cared that customers were sitting watching the clock. When we finally asked about the delay, the response was "it's busy outside", it wasn't , in fact almost nobody. But after waiting for over an hour, customers don't want excuses - they want someone who actually cares and seems concerned about good service. A simple apology, an update, or even a little empathy would have gone a long way. Instead, the attitude seemed to be that our frustration was somehow our problem. Then the food arrived. The mahi Reuben was a complete disaster. The bread was so soggy and waterlogged that it literally fell apart. It wasn't just bad, it was inedible. Who knew that sour kraut must be at a premium when it wasn't even added. Any kitchen, or server, with even the slightest standards would have thrown it in the trash, along with the cold soggy fries. Instead, it was served without a second thought. The most frustrating part is that this isn't a one-time experience and seems to be more the norm than the exception. The kitchen has been going downhill for a while with LONG wait times and mediocre food and it seems that nobody is interested in fixing it. Orders take forever, quality continues to decline and the response from staff seems to range from indifference to excuses. A restaurant doesn't survive for decades because of its building or location. It survives because of loyal customers. I've know Pineda through many owners, it now feels like management is relying entirely on a reputation that was earned decades ago while doing very little to maintain it. After almost 30 years, this was the worst experience I've ever had here. An hour wait for two sandwiches, and inedible meal, and the only explanation being "it's not my fault." Maybe that's the problem. Everyone has an excuse, but nobody has a solution. At this point, the biggest disappointment isn't the food, it's the overwhelming feeling that nobody cares. And it's sad, as I've met the owners at their other establishment - I expect and deserve better - especially at $17 FOR A SANDWICH!!!
