There's also a picnic table area with some giant lawn game going, which is where we enjoyed our drinks, making the wait genuinely pleasant instead of something to endure. For our first round, we tried the "crush," the local specialty, and ordered one of every flavor. Fresh squeezed juice, flavored vodka, triple sec, Sprite. Grapefruit and cherry limeade were the winners. The pineapple was awful. None of them were very strong, so after the novelty wore off I moved on to something more my speed (nothing beats a tequila soda). They also have a respectable beer selection. Our table ended up right by the water with a view of the boats, and our waitress was so helpful walking us through the menu, including the fact that lumpia is a local specialty here thanks to the area's Filipino population, which I did not know. We got oysters and three other appetizers, then split one entree between every two people since the portions are enormous. The fried shrimp was the unanimous favorite, and the spinach crab dip, lumpia, blackened crab cake (almost everyone ordered it), potato salad, and hushpuppies were all excellent. All of that, plus roughly two cocktails a person and tip, came to about $50 each, which felt like quite the steal for high quality seafood! Big attached parking lot, docks if you're coming in by boat, and the market sells shirts, hats, fresh crab meat, take-home versions of the appetizers, and fishing basics. There was a bit of a line/wait if you wanted to use the women's restroom (but isn't that the case everywhere?) I would definitely come back here next time I'm in town!!

There is another restaurant located next door, but I have yet to see the doors swing open. Nevertheless, I arrived about 3pm give or take a few minutes and two others were already inside. I checked out the menu for several minutes before deciding to order. Luckily an older gentleman was present, I was able to ask him "what's good here" - he likes the fish and mac n cheese. While I was not in the mood for either, I will keep them on the radar on my next visit. Everything is fried here, unless you opt for the crabs or shrimp in which they can be prepared steamed. Well, I always love to try one's crabcake... so I ordered 1 crabcake and I have been longing to try someone's crab egg rolls... so I ordered 1 crab egg roll please. While waiting, I learned about the restaurant's history and other staples in Suffolk. This man was super friendly and even picked up my vibe... "you're not from Suffolk, are you" - no sir. He could tell. Evidently the people from the area can be spotted easily. I waited maybe 5 minutes, and my order was ready. The restaurant has some protocols in place to limit interaction with others and the employees. Which is completely understandable. I ended up trying my food about 20 minutes later. The temp was still warm... a good thing. I bit into the crab roll... I really couldn't tell if it was actually crab or just a regular egg roll. After two bites, maybe three, I determined, this may be crab. Nevertheless, it wasn't too noticeable... not sure if I would try that again. I may have to order a regular one and a crab one to really tell the difference. Onto the crabcake... Well...it definitely has a lot of filler. In this case, I am not surprised by the cost anymore. I thought the price was a steal for a crabcake... but now I see, the price is right. You get what you pay for, but I was hoping for a steal. Overall, I wouldn't count this place out, but next time, I am looking fwd to trying the fish and scallops. Again, everything is fried, so I must be in the mood to try it, because if not I will not be able to give my totally honest review. I so prefer steamed seafood, broiled, blackened even, but I will keep you posted. In the meantime, check out the hours, because they are very limited. Take care of yourself and enjoy life :)
