Keep in mind any haircut at the shoulder or above are $75, while longer layered cuts are $55. So even if you are cutting off less inches to maintain a shorter hairstyle, it would cost more. I used to come here regularly pre covid. However, I've been calling them for the last TWO WEEKS and no one picks up the phone. I've called at different times on different days. Only once did I get a live person and she put me on hold for over 10 min so I hung up . I've booked with another salon and already had my hair done now. Came here for a layered cut and bang trim with Michelle since I had a lot of split ends on both my bleached and virgin hair, and she was incredibly friendly and efficient. I was in and out in around an hour. I really enjoyed talking with her about hair health/her preferred products, she was also very knowledgeable about Asian hair types and what products work best for me and recommended that I use a texturizing spray since my hair is quite flat at the top and doesn't have any volume. I also mentioned that I don't do my hair frequently, and she assured me that this is a cut that looks good with minimal styling. I had Tye, and he was so accommodating to what I wanted!! He gave me tips on what to do for my after hair care, what would look best for my features, and was so precise with my haircut! At first I wanted a haircut and the attention to detail was perfect!! Even with washing my hair, he made sure to dry my ears just in case there was water in them (he did such a great job no water splashes anywhere near my face!!) My hair feels so light now! I told him my future plans of wanting my hair to be less brassy and he gave me tips on what to do and also offered a service of a hair gloss which cooled down the tone of my hair! I love it so much. He gave me his business card and offered to reach out if I ever had any questions. Everyone in there was so friendly, I was greeted with a smile from everyone. I got a blonde balayage done a couple of months ago at this salon. I came about 10 days prior to ask if I could book an appointment for a specific date from as early as possible to maximum 1:30 pm (I had a nearby in person work meeting at 2:00). The receptionist immediately texted a Jr stylist, who quickly agreed to come in, and scheduled my appointment for 9:00-1:30. I did express some hesitation because they said it would take 5 hours to do but then scheduled my appointment for 4.5 hours. I made it very clear that I could only book if the timing could be accommodated. They said it shouldn't be a problem. And so I was super excited for my appt especially since I had never gotten my hair done before. The day of the appt, I come in at about 8:45 and was seated at 8:55. I notified my stylist of my time constraint and once again, she said it won't be a problem. Overall, she was very nice and I had a great time talking to her. However, during my appointment, she had two other clients, all long hair & curly haircuts. Normally this wouldn't have bothered me, but I was getting nervous of cutting it too close to my meeting. It was about 12:40 when she finally washed my hair after applying bleach. I thought I could still be on track, but I didn't know that she would take another hour for the toner. She kept switching between toning my hair and styling another client's hair. At this point, it was 1:40 and only about 1/8 of my hair had been blow dried. From 1:10-1:40, I reminded her twice that I had to go to work. I was noticeably frustrated and got out of the chair to leave with wet hair. Then, she finally called another stylist to finish blow drying my hair. I told her I have to go but she insisted they can finish my hair. It was 2:15 when I finally walked out of the salon. My hair was dry but it was not styled. I had tears in my eyes (and honestly cried in my car on the way) in fear of being in trouble at work. I am happy with the results and I have gotten lots of compliments, which is why I am not name dropping/blaming the stylist. However, I wish my time constraint had been taken more seriously rather than the stylist being spread across multiple clients. I'm unsure whether this was a scheduling issue or a management decision, but it unfortunately left a lasting impression. Now that I need a touch-up, I wish I could come back to this salon but I can't seem to forget this bad experience I had. I hope they can improve their customer experience to focus on each individual person instead of a money-hungry business. read more

Both of my daughters love their stylists at Dollhouse! One daughter sees Michelle, who is so sweet and always delivers on exactly what my daughter asks for. My other daughter sees Tye for her curly cut, and he gave her the best haircut she's ever gotten! Tye is much better than another curl specialist at the salon who is unfriendly and half asses her cuts. She once finished my daughter's entire appointment in less than 30 minutes and my daughter's hair was still dripping wet when she checked us out. Thank goodness we found Tye! read more

I had the worst experience working with a Jr. hair specialist that probably joined the salon few months ago and she came from Ukraine . She didn't do the job correctly in the first attempt so I asked for an another appointment. I was very clear that I only color the part which shows gray hair but in the second appointment, instead of fixing the old problem , she thought it's easier to apply the color on the whole scalp. I kept telling her not to touch roots but she had her own explanations and continued to do what seemed correct to her. Now the results are : I have itchy scalp with lots of dandruff and roughness , specially the bottom part of my hair is badly damaged. Tremendous amount of hair fall which I never had in my life (clearly the color she applied had something in it ). Even though she said it's ammonia free, but while she was applying this color, I told her this is the first time I am feeling the itchiness and headache but her answer was , "oh I don't know why you feeling this way, it's probably your skin". She couldn't even get rid of black spots from my forehead after the wash. Although it wasn't the first time that I requested ammonia free hair color from this salon but it would definitely make me never going back there . read more

This is my new go to salon! I had the pleasure of meeting a hairstylist named Sasha and she was very well versed in hairstyles, hair type, and techniques. I requested a lot of layers witn face framing bangs and she did not disappoint! I've noticed that this was the first time where when I requested a lot of layers, I got exactly what I asked for. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Dollhouse Salon. In a town as small as this, I was shocked to hear the stylist gossiping about me to other clients especially since she doesn't even know me. It was not only unprofessional but also completely inaccurate and inappropriate. To make matters worse, she ruined my daughter's hairstyle, which left her in tears. As a mother, it's heartbreaking to see your child upset and I did what any parent would do to try and make it right which vocalizing my concern to the Hair Stylist and she completely ignored me. Maybe now that she's a new mother herself, she'll begin to understand what a parent is willing to say or do for their child's happiness. This stylist should focus more on professionalism and honing her craft instead of spreading gossip especially in a small community where word gets around quickly. The quality of service was poor, and I cannot recommend Dollhouse Salon based on this experience. read more

Long overdue review from last year Monique was the best at cutting my hair I'm scared of getting my hair cut because it comes out too choppy for me every time but she understood that when I told her and she knows how to make the hair blend in if you want some layers. She's comfortable to talk to and will gossip with you and treat you like a friend. I had the worst salon experience of my life here. After a simple root touch-up, my scalp began burning severely within minutes. I told Nicole immediately, but instead of stopping completely, she applied more products and then blow-dried my irritated scalp with high heat. The burning was so intense I ended up in urgent care and had to take time off work yet I was still charged $145. This was extremely unsafe and showed a lack of experience and proper training.
