TIGER SUGAR IS FINALLY HERE!! Tiger Sugar is a widely popular Taiwanese brand. Whenever I'm back in the motherland and see a Tiger Sugar, there's almost always a line. They're famous for their brown sugar drinks, especially the brown sugar boba milk with cream mousse. That one is their best seller! I went during grand opening, and while the line was very long, I was surprised at how quickly it moved. We waited for only an hour (in a very long line). I think it would've been shorter if people hadn't had such big orders, but it's okay. Once inside and once our order was taken, we got our drinks within five minutes. That's quick!! Especially for grand opening. Of course I went with their best seller. But I also tried the brown sugar boba green milk tea with cream mousse. Both were amazing. The boba was still warm, was flavored nicely, and was soft and chewy. While the drinks look like they would be very sweet, it really wasn't! It was sweetened perfectly. The plain boba milk was heavier than the green milk tea one though, so if you like lighter drinks, I recommend getting the green milk tea one. Another thing I so appreciate about Tiger Sugar is that they don't overload your cup with ice. When I finished my drink, there was only a small amount of ice left. It was a great experience for me considering it was my first time stepping into a store since covid happened. There's lines on the floor for social distancing and everyone was wearing masks. Also, their drinks are all basically similar it matters if you want the milk or tea... or boba, pearl or both.. somewhere along there. Let's break the structure! Talk about the my least favorite from the drink - boba and pearl. I am not fan of pearl due to lack of texture, but I got it either way and yes, I don't like the texture of boredom. I have been seeing this drink EVERYWHERE on Instagram & when I realized it was in North Dallas, had to give it a go! I walked in and I won't lie, was slightly thrown off with the smell. Reminded me of mop water & bleach. But that means they're clean, right? Idk. I reached the counter and one of the young ladies greeted me and took my order. After paying, she made sure to tell me to shake it (thank goodness). My favorite part of the drink were the little jelly balls at the bottom. They really made the drink feel like a dessert. For me, the milk mixture was very bland and didn't give me the taste I was looking for. It didn't taste bad, just had little to no flavor. Tasted like a lightly sweetened milk. The hype is real. I heard about this boba chain from Insider & coincidentally the same day I heard this chain was coming to Dallas. I've tried 3 separate times to come when it first opened, & as always the line was insane! I even drove by in the pouring rain & thought there wouldn't be a line but it was there & still crazy long. I gave it another try in a month or so when I thought the hype would calm down just a tad but it didn't & I no longer cared. I waited my hour & fifteen mins for the signature drink & crushed it in about two mins. It was delicious, it tasted like straight up caramel & I love two types of boba to give it that unique chew. The weekends are always very busy but they have a speedy execution. They also always have a special, so pay attention to the signage when you visit, you may find something new you would like to try. I would say the team is kind, its pretty straightforward - you review the menu and order. I love that they accept ApplePay as an option.
