Honestly, this was such a nice experience. I was genuinely excited to see a Tiger Sugar here since I'd been craving it ever since my trip to New York. The black tea tasted super fresh and comforting, and the brown sugar boba had that perfect warm, soothing sweetness. The milkiness with the tea made it feel balanced without being too heavy. Service was smooth too with the self-order stations, and the staff kept everything moving quickly. The decor was great, and even the random claw machine added a bit of fun to the visit. Overall, it's a perfect little nighttime treat spot, especially with so many dessert places nearby.
So this is a nice place to grab a boba tea and get refreshed. Its not full as people usually grab the drink and leave. They do have 3-- tables for people who want to sit. I went with my husband and baby so we sat there for a while. I tried their mango saga and it was very refreshing. Their glass size was fairly good and the mango chunks tasted so good with the drink inside. My husband had the signature drink and he said it was OK. I tasted it and found it on a sweeter side but you have to mix it well before tou sip it, that's how I realised it wasn't too sweet, we hadn't simply mixed it well. We also tried their desserts, couldn't remember their names but their fine. I would go their again for drinks.
Every one was raving about Carrollton location's offer of fried chicken. I looked at their price for the chicken, which was $10. I told myself that chicken had to be worth $10. Today I'm in the area and decided to give it a try. I wasn't disappointed. It's not as big as others mentioned, but a good size. The flavor of the chicken was incredible, I could taste some sweetness and spiciness. The most important thing is that it was very juicy! Overall, the look, texture, and taste were amazing. Will I get it again? Definitely, I will try their other fried options next time. I was hoping they could offer that in Plano location. Cuz it's kinda far drive just to get the chicken
Solid boba if you're in the area and want a brown sugar milk tea! The process from entering to getting a drink is always very streamlined and quick. Lately I do feel like I wished it was a bit sweeter, but that's just my personal taste - the boba is always solid with taste and texture too, but nothing too amazing. Overall a great option to try, especially after a good meal in the area!
I got their signature drink and it did not disappoint! I appreciated how the drink was not overly sweet the way most brown sugar drinks are. The boba itself was also very fresh. The drinks came out a few minutes after ordering! There's approximately 10 seats inside if you choose to enjoy your drink in there.
I really like Tigar Sugar. Parking can be tricky in the evenings because the plaza is busy in the afternoons, but everyone is incredibly nice here. When you walk in, you order your drink through the kiosk, which makes things easy. The only downside is you can't adjust the sugar amount on most of their drinks. All the black sugar drinks are fantastic! I haven't had a disappointing drink. However, for the price, the drink sizes are a bit small for them. I wouldn't recommend this cafe if you want to hangout with friends because there isn't a lot of seating space inside.
Drove 40 minutes here to get Chunky Boss. There is never anyone at the counter so you order using a kiosk. We placed our order at 9:00:43pm with no idea that the kitchen closed at 9:00pm. They only informed us that the kitchen was closed at 9:05 pm AFTER making our drink and only offered a refund of the food which will take 3-4 days. Also, didn't receive a receipt because the machine was broken. Had we know the situation, we wouldn't have accepted the drink and requested a full refund. I'm not sure how much of a difference 43 seconds makes. Sure seems like if their machine (only way of ordering) malfunctioned even letting us order that they would have made just one chicken. You can find much better teas around so skip it unless you're dying to get the chicken. Also, the inside isn't great because there really is no where to sit. UPDATE: CM Chicken is literally right across the road and has even better chicken with huge portions at an affordable price!
I haven't been to tiger sugar in years but I went last weekend for the hello kitty collab! The event was cute and intense- I got there over 3 hours before opening, but it was worth it to be the first 10 in line for the free promo hello kitty reusable boba holder and BOGO deal. Besides the event; the workers were so kind to answer my questions on the drink specifics considering the line they had. I got 2 kitty crushes (crystal boba and aloe jelly) which is essentially strawberry milk tea with toppings and jam. So good! Most of the boba drinks here aren't sugar adjustable and on the sweeter side. I'd rec this place if you like more processed boba versus traditional/authentic ones- it's really just a preference. Come here if you have an extreme sweet tooth since this location was clean, efficient, and nice.
I had to see what all the rage was at tiger sugar with their hello kitty collab. The story was pretty packed when we were there, but was it was convenient to order with their self order machines. We tried their hello kitty special drink and I would said it wasn't my favorite. I ended up order the #1 - their classic drink - and I really enjoyed that. The best part of the experience was getting the hello kitty souvenir. I'll be back for sure to try their other drinks.

Tiger sugar has potential but their main menu is just milk and boba. Def overcharge the milk. It sucks can't really adjust the sugar level. Only adjustable is. What I like is the mochi soybean drink they have. I got their green tea and that had adjustable sweetness. I liked their mini boba. But overall it's super sweet drink and it's more a dessert type of drink. Not really an everyday read more

Perhaps best for someone with a sweet tooth as I didn't enjoy it all too well, definitely too sugary for me but I felt like this place was best known for their signature so I needed to try it! Tiger Sugar's signature drink, Black Sugar Boba + Pearl with Cream Mousse is SO GOOD. I prefer my boba without boba, but since I was sharing with family, I got to discover how it's interesting they have different sizing for their tapioca pearls. Some are small and others are large. I like how different that is. The pearls come out fresh and hot and you can feel the warmth from your cup when you come grab it. Pearl texture was softer than most boba shops. The menu was a little overwhelming to look at because majority lists Black Sugar in the title and it's hard to tell these drinks apart for a first timer. If you see Black Sugar, just focus on the end part of it bc Black Sugar is their base. I loveeee milky boba and this signature drink wasn't too sweet. It was a hit with my family. I finally tried the infamous Tiger Sugar! I will say it is a dessert drink, in my opinion but very good. It kind of tastes like tiramisu. I ordered the #1 on the menu. The location is small and can get packed, very fast. They currently have a kind of microphone/speaker situation due to COVID so lots of squeaks and screeches. I think you can order online which I definitely want to try next time. The drinks are a bit pricey for the size (which is why I deducted my one star-- because there's only one size option I believe) but I think it's a nice treat to have every once in awhile. Came to Tiger Sugar with high high expectations. For those that don't know: this boba franchise is the biggest in Taiwan and featured in multiple big Youtuber reviews including Mikey (StrictlyDumpling) Chen. So when they came to Carrollton I knew I had to give it a try. Black Sugar Boba Black Tea with Cream Mousse: 4/5. It was really good, don't get me wrong, but the hype did not match up to the flavor. The drink itself was a bit too creamy and not lacking as much flavor as anticipated. I got the signature boba as well to give it the most honest rating. Overall: I see the hype and would definitely come here again. But I don't think it holds it's own with other boba shops like MoMoCha, Ding Tea, and Gong Cha (please don't even mention KFT next to these boba places). read more

I have a new appreciation for brown sugar boba!! I've come here a couple of times and I like the coffee jelly as a topping a lot, it provides another fun texture on top of the boba and the pearls. Both the latte and the brown sugar milk are good so you can't really go wrong with either in my opinion. Definitely a solid choice for boba! 10/10 I've been wanting to come here for so long and I finally got too! Definitely not a place where you can sit in and chill. You order your drink and you leave. It was very busy around 6 pm on a Friday. People were going in and out like no other. I got the signature drink with cream mousse. It was definitely out of my comfort and not my usual order at boba spots, but I had to try it and see if it was worth the hype. And it was! Brown sugar milk tea isn't my favorite flavor but something I will choose occasionally. I don't have a big sweet tooth so often times, it's too sweet for me. In this case however, I was pleasantly surprised that the flavors were very full and well balanced. The green tea flavor stood out and it had just the right amount of sweetness. To make it even better, the boba was incredibly soft and chewy! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Their tapioca boba is absolute perfection. And you can believe me because I almost never order boba in my drinks due to the quality and texture being all over the map at most places. The best is that they have both the smaller tapioca as well as the normal boba mixed together. The caramelized brown sugar gives the drink the famous tiger stripes but add the flavor to the milk. Be sure to mix well and enjoy a perfect combination and ratio of boba, sweetness, and milk! The service is phenomenal. The first time I came here, it must've been the owner who helped me. He was so accommodating and patient with answering all of my questions. I was picking up about 6 cups and he actually offered to give me ice on the side to keep all of the drinks cool. They've always been super friendly and I love that they'll run different deals such as buy 4, get a free reusable straw, or buy 3 and get a coffee latte for $1 etc. They are following COVID guidelines so the line might appear longer than it actually is when it wraps around outside. Love that they put the masks on the tigers! My only complaint is that you cannot make any adjustments whatsoever- the sweetness level or the type of milk, or the ice level. It was a bit overhyped, but it still tastes great. I have a big sweet tooth so I'm surprised everyone else doesn't think it's too sweet. You can't adjust sugar level. That's fine with me, but how can you not adjust ice level?!! I see their tricks. They literally fill it to the top with ice and then add the drink. That leaves 6 sips and then it's gone. Only one size (small) and it costs over $5. Too expensive for too little. I can go to tocotoco for slightly subpar tiger sugar milk tea and get a large, plus pay less than $5. Was it worth all that hype? No. But definitely worth going to experience it. The boba was cooked to perfection. I kept it in the fridge overnight and the boba was still soft! Did not harden. Excellent boba. The caramelized sugar flavor is really delightful. It's like...drinking a crème brūlée. I suppose this place stays hopping bc while you may walk in with only 2 ppl ahead of you, you'll find that 2 blinks later there'll be a small cue outside the door. Service moves rather quickly though, so don't let that deter you. There wasn't a single person on staff who wasn't delightful, kind, professional, helpful or friendly. And that's HUGE. Like, when does that happen? There was one employee though who was so darn adorable. As soon as he would see a like, he'd announce loudly...."we will be with you as soon as possible." And when I picked up my drink, he so lovely said.."and doooon't forget to shaaaaake before you driiiink!" ... And there were accompanying hand gestures and a tiny shimey. Seriously, if I could have packed him up right then, I would have. Haha. Adorable. And honestly, in the gloom of 2020 Rona' and election season....he was so refreshing. Longest line ever for a $5 small cup of boba. Though I will say the boba isn't that bad; surprisingly, their drinks are not overpoweringly sweet at all! Their signature drink is made of heavy cream, which sounds a bit too much/heavy. So, I opted for the Black Sugar Boba Milk, which was just milk (without the heavy cream). To help you understand their menu, they have a Boba series and a Pearl series. The boba is the regular black pearls you may be used to. The pearl is smaller mini black pearls. Their signature drink (the starred one) has both boba and pearls in it. Their specialty is milk boba, which has milk drizzled with brown sugar syrup and boba/pearls (notice there isn't any mention of tea). If you're looking for a tea-based drink, you'll have to look for the ones that says "green tea" or "black tea" latte. Otherwise, don't expect to get "milk tea." I repeat - they specialize in MILK BOBA. I'm not a huge boba tea person in general because I really hate the americanized "overly sweet" boba that have plagued many businesses nowadays (to which I opt for 0-30% sweetness). FYI - you CANNOT adjust the sweetness, ice level here like you typically can at other boba shops. But don't fret!! The sweetness is so subtle that it's honestly perfect. The ice also really help to balance out the drink. So really the adjustments aren't needed. I'd come back again but only once the hype has died down a bit and I don't have to line up. As a Taiwanese, I love supporting authentic Taiwanese businesses. Not to mention, the cashier was super patient and friendly. Tiger sugar was quite a treat. read more

I was here for the grand opening! I got their signature drink, the brown sugar boba + pearl milk with cream mousse. Note that their signature drink is not a milk TEA drink, but it's made with really delicious fresh milk. The brown sugar and cream mousse add so much flavor that you might just be fooled it's not a milk tea! This drink comes with boba (the large tapioca balls) plus what they refer to as pearls (a lot smaller tapioca balls). They have a very nice, chewy softness to them. It's pretty sweet but not disgustingly so. Drink comes with ice. They advise you to take a nice pic then shake it 15 times before you stab your straw in and start drinking. It's really so good! But know that their drinks are EXPENSIVE, over 5 dollars. Also, there's nearly no seating inside. That's a HUGE bummer for me and factors into why I gave 4 stars and not 5. I consider boba places to be places where you should be able to sit and hang out with friends. That's a big part of what I loved about boba especially when I was in high school and college. I can understand why they install mainly to-go boba drink shops in big cities like Taiwan and New York, where everyone's always on the go all the time, but this is CARROLLTON, Texas. You come for boba and you either have to go home, or walk out to a PARKING LOT and hope to find a bench or loiter around. Or otherwise find another cafe or bakery to sit down and hang out. Last note - this place is nice and they have delicious drinks. They're the originators of the tiger stripe, dirty brown sugar syrup drink concept. But it's expensive, and you can also get good dirty brown sugar drinks from other boba chains nearby that have a wider selection of drink options (this place only has brown sugar drinks). So I'd say...great place, but not the best, and not 5 star-worthy for me! read more

TIGER SUGAR IS FINALLY HERE!! Tiger Sugar is a widely popular Taiwanese brand. Whenever I'm back in the motherland and see a Tiger Sugar, there's almost always a line. They're famous for their brown sugar drinks, especially the brown sugar boba milk with cream mousse. That one is their best seller! I went during grand opening, and while the line was very long, I was surprised at how quickly it moved. We waited for only an hour (in a very long line). I think it would've been shorter if people hadn't had such big orders, but it's okay. Once inside and once our order was taken, we got our drinks within five minutes. That's quick!! Especially for grand opening. Of course I went with their best seller. But I also tried the brown sugar boba green milk tea with cream mousse. Both were amazing. The boba was still warm, was flavored nicely, and was soft and chewy. While the drinks look like they would be very sweet, it really wasn't! It was sweetened perfectly. The plain boba milk was heavier than the green milk tea one though, so if you like lighter drinks, I recommend getting the green milk tea one. Another thing I so appreciate about Tiger Sugar is that they don't overload your cup with ice. When I finished my drink, there was only a small amount of ice left.
