Looks like I found my new favorite dessert spot! If you love mangoes you'll love this spot. Their mango pancake might be the best light dessert I've had in a long time - so light and airy! I ordered two mango pancakes and mochi. Both were delicious! I'd choose the pancake over tue mochi because I loved whipped cream. If you're not a fan of whipped cream get the mochi! The mochi is just filled with succulent mango. Employees are super friendly and the store is bright and clean. Looking forward to the next time I'm in the area so, I can try some more sweets.

Yum! Stopped here today after lunch for a little dessert. Loved how clean and spacious it is! The staff member was welcoming and so kind to answer all my questions on the menu items. I ordered the coconut jelly with watermelon and chewy balls-so good, refreshing, not overly sweet, and light! Also had the egg waffle which was excellent! Highly recommend!

Love this place, only downside is.. it's so far from where I live. I'm waiting for them to open up their Frisco location so I can go more! We come here all the time! My favorite drink is their D3, which is their mango pomelo and sago. It's a bit on the pricier side and a really heavy dessert. So probably best to get it in between meals or get it for a summer treat! I've gotten their other drinks like the mango and coconut with aloe or crystal jelly. Their jellies itself have no flavor, really just to chew while drinking something refreshing and delicious. They have this store in CA and my parents really like their mango mochi. I always see their mango pudding, but I've never actually gotten it. Overall, definitely recommend. It is located in the super busy ranch99 plaza with BCD tofu, kickin crab, 85 degrees, etc so make sure you arrive early to find some parking. They have a pretty open and spacious spot so tons of seating. Definitely check them out if you haven't already.

Got dessert at hui lau Shan in Carrollton. This popular Hong Kong mango dessert chain opened here last year. I got the mango delightful trio which includes mango chunks and I believe some kind of coconut milk and purple rice? It was pretty refreshing and the mangoes were solid. It isn't mango season yet so I know these would hit more in the summer. I recommended the coconut jelly mango to one of my friends and they loved it. My other friend got the mango chewy ball. You can never really go wrong with anything at this place. It tend to get packed all the time and some times you you're lucky to have an open table

Hui Lau Shan is a Hong Kong based dessert chain known for their mango based desserts. This store specializes in mango desserts, and since I love mangoes, I had always wanted to try them. I ordered the Mango Chewy Ball, Mango Pancake, and Yogurt Mango. The Mango Chewy Ball was delicious, with mango slush, mango chunks, mochi, and coconut mango ice cream. I highly recommend it, as it's something you'll want to eat again. If you're sharing with someone, I suggest getting the large size. The Mango Pancake is more like a crepe rather than an actual pancake. The Yogurt Mango drink was refreshing, not too sweet, and very tasty. The store is clean, and weekdays are not crowded, so I recommend going on a weekday. On weekends, parking can be difficult as it's located in a busy shopping center in the heart of Carrollton

Rating: 6/10 Date Last Visited: 9/12/2025 We ordered the Mango Chewy Ball ($8). I'm having a hard time describing this dessert besides just a mango dessert with some sort of mango liquid, cut up mango fruit, and some "chewy balls", maybe mochi. The mango tasted fresh, but the overall dish was nothing special. It's a great mango dessert, but for the price, it's not really worth it. Overall, I would recommend if you really like mango or else there's better options.

D5 Mango & Coconut Juice With Aloe Jelly
    Angelica L.

We came here for dessert after dinner and ordered the D5 drink to share. It's a mix of mango and coconut juice with aloe jelly. The flavor was good, but not quite as good as the Vegas location. The aloe jelly pieces were also very long and would be better cut into smaller pieces. My friends got the desserts and seemed like they really enjoyed theirs. Besides that, the service was great and friendly which we appreciated.

I stopped in here when I was visiting Royce chocolate this weekend and they have really fun, unique desserts, and snacks. Really cute spot. The people working were super friendly and answered my questions and gave some good recommendations. I enjoyed my mango passionfruit drink!

Got the glutinous purple rice with taro and also added a side of chewable balls. The balls we're ok it the taro was so so . Was hoping for the chewy version but this one was too soft .

This mango dessert café is tucked in the ever-busy plaza with all the other Asian restaurants and shops. We came by on a Saturday night around 6 p.m. While the café itself wasn't too crowded, it was terribly painful finding a parking spot. The interior has a lot of yellow décor because "mango". There's plenty of seating and it was pretty spacious overall. The music was a bit loud, which made it hard to hear when our order number was called. We ordered a Pomelo & Mango with Sago. I meant to order the drink but wasn't paying attention and didn't realize until my order arrived that I'd ordered the frozen dessert with the same name. My fault entirely. Despite not intending to get it, I loved the dessert - the bitterness of the pomelo, the sweet and lightly sour mango, the cold and slushy sago, all mixed in coconut milk with a dollop of mango ice cream, were perfect.

They deserve the name as mango experts. Go for what they're famous for - the mango sago! My friends introduced me to this chain from Hong kong that has a spot in texas. I was quite impressed with the coconut, dairy, and sweetness of the mango mixed. I definitely recommend! The atmosphere was cute and color coordinated and the drinks are also prepared in a cute way. The staff was nice and helpful too!

This dessert shop is by far the best mango-themed dessert spot in the Dallas area. The desserts are amazing and made with fresh mango. I was pleasantly surprised by how well mango pairs with so many ingredients, such as purple rice, coconut milk, and pomelo. We visited on a weekend with a group of four and were seated easily. The service was quick--our desserts were ready within 5-10 minutes--and the staff was friendly. My favorite item was the mango coconut duo mix, which had the perfect balance of sweetness from the mango and the richness of the purple rice. My least favorite was the durian pancake, as it contained a lot of cream and felt a bit too filling for my taste.

If you are a mango lover, this is your mango heaven!! I got the mango chewy ball and it was the most refreshing thing I've ever tried! I loved the contrast of the mochi balls and the fresh mango ice. The bubble waffle was too hard in my opinion and a little pricey for what it is. I'll be dreaming about hui lau shan~

As we were waiting, we noticed that 4-5 tables were done eating and paid their bills. All got up and left, the staff quickly cleaned the tables. The cleaned tables were empty for another 15 minutes. The lady that took our names down took a while to call the next customers. Seems like we were waiting just to wait...she sat one party down and waited another 10 minute to sit the next group... anyways, after we waited for a good 40 minutes, we were finally called to be seated. Sat down and was immediately served with water and took our order down. Time for the food review: Chicken popcorn - nice crisp and texture, but lacking flavor. Felt like it needed a dipping sauce. Pork lard rice - disappointing, bland Pork intestine with green mustard - this dish was okay.. Crispy garlic salted fish - fish was nicely fried and flavor was good. Probably the best dish so far Crispy pork chop - this is the reason why we came here.. we wanted to find a dish like May Ice cream. Unfortunately, this was a huge disappointment. The pork chop was extremely salted. From the skin to the pork itself. Walnut shrimp - this dish was foul. Who puts sprinkles on the side?! Tasted like I was eating an ice cream shop. The shrimp was also dry. Overall, not worth going and waiting. Food was lacking.

Came during the soft opening in September 2025 with excited expectations based on what we've heard, hoping to find a new go to Taiwanese spot. Unfortunately we didn't find what we were looking for. I admit this was the soft opening and things may improve, and for their sake I hope they do. Biggest issues for us were lack of flavor in the meat and multiple proteins being overcooked. The sauces they used had the flavor but it seems like the meat just wasn't given the time to marinate because the meat itself was bland. That coupled with proteins being a bit dry from being overcooked and you don't have a good combo. If they can tweak their prep process to let the meat marinate then it would solve most of the problems though. The best dish was the fried pork chop rice by far. A bit on the sweeter side so it just depends on how you like it. The bok choy it came with was basically raw though had more crunch than the pork chop. Service was also a mixed bag. The server was super nice and helped give us recs but it just seemed like they were still getting the hang of working in a restaurant. A glass of water got some food in it so the server took it away but they never brought us a new one. Again, soft opening so I give that some grace, but food has to be more on point for a new restaurant to make it. So all in all, there are definitely some kinks to work through for them. Normally I wouldn't write a review for soft opening but given that there are old reviews here plus food quality missed the mark more than I think it should've, I think people on Yelp should get a heads up.

Watching the taiyaki being prepared adds to the experience since the fish shaped pastries come out warm and freshly cooked, creating that contrast between hot pastry and cold soft serve that defines the shop's appeal. The signature Ahboong is the main reason to visit, combining creamy soft serve with a freshly made taiyaki cone. The soft serve has a light, smooth texture that feels less heavy than traditional ice cream, and there are plenty of flavors to mix and match. Matcha, ube, cookies and cream, and other rotating options give plenty of choices, while fillings like custard, red bean, and Nutella add an extra layer of sweetness. The taiyaki itself is one of the highlights, with a slightly crisp exterior and a fluffy inside that pairs really well with the ice cream. The warm pastry melting slightly with the soft serve makes the whole dessert feel more complete and satisfying. Service is usually quick despite the popularity of the shop. The ordering process is simple, and the fresh taiyaki preparation makes the wait feel worthwhile. Even when there is a crowd, the shop moves efficiently, and the desserts come together quickly once ordered. The staff handles the steady flow well, and the overall experience feels smooth from ordering to eating. Somisomi feels like a dessert spot built around the experience as much as the food. It is a great place for a casual sweet treat, a late night dessert run, or something fun to share with friends. The combination of warm taiyaki, creamy soft serve, and creative flavors makes it one of those places that feels different from the usual ice cream stop, offering a dessert that is as enjoyable to watch being made as it is to eat.

If you're dining in the area, you can choose to skip the restaurant dessert and come here. On my most recent visit, I ended up eating outside due to comfort issues. My Overall Rating - 3 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Heads up! The shopping strip is very busy, and parking can be a challenge. In the front there are many crêpes behind glass cases. It's like a wall of food art. Inside you'll find an open space with a few tables, tons of dark wood, an open kitchen, but on my most recent visit, it was uncomfortably warm. It's was pretty outside (early March), and there were a couple of benches, so I sat outside. 1/2 Star. Service - I think this is the new trend, but you now order through a kiosk. Now, there a lot of positives, because you can take your time and scroll through the selections. But for me, there's something about interacting with someone and asking for opinions. On the other hand, it allows the staff to craft your crêpe in the open, which is cool to watch. 1/2 Star. Food - Full Disclosure - I went with my daughter so I'm basing this review on her opinion. She went with the Chocolate Banana. Now, it was loaded, and the folks at T-Swirl Crêpe do not skimp on the ingredients. Each crêpe is carefully crafted from fresh batter. My daughter gave her approval. When I asked her how did her Chocolate and Banana crêpe taste? "Like chocolate and banana". Thumbs up. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. While the very warm temperature inside made it too uncomfortable for me to stay inside to watch the staff construct the crêpes, my previous visits have been great. I just hope the A/C kicks in when the Texas summer arrives. 1 Star.
