An iconic boba chain all across the US!! I remember the lines used to be insanely long when it first opened in California, but we walked in to no line at all on a Saturday. It's combined with the fried chicken cutlet and cream puff shop, so there's some seating available. The decor is very tiger sugar! You order on kiosks, and grab it from the staff at the counter. I got the brown sugar boba with chocolate chip (bad translation on their end - they definitely meant Oreo cookie crumble lol). The first few sips were weird because I forgot to mix the brown sugar into the drink, so it felt a bit even alcoholic tasting? But after mixing, I thought this was delicious and I just loveeee any dessert that had Oreo crumble in it. A bit pricey though to be honest. My friend got the strawberry mochi drink, which surprisingly came with 4 different toppings in a very topping forward way. It had coconut jelly, rainbow jelly, boba, and more. The flavors were really nice here too!!
Super quick service queue. You can fill out your order and then there is plenty of space while you wait. Didn't wait too long for my brown sugar boba! The boba pearls came out fresh and that is something I always notice right away. It was delicious and I'll be coming again.
This is the best boba I've had! You can order at the counter or at one of the 3 kiosks they have. Service is quick. The drinks come with a sealed top that you poke the straw through. The flavor is amazing, but not too sweet. I like the contrast between the boba and tapioca pearls. You can have both in your drink or either separately. It is visually appealing. It may be a tad pricey, but worth it for a special treat!
The taro milk was perfection - especially since I asked for it to be less sweet. The default sweetness for the brown sugar milk tea was too much for my taste personally, but still deliciously rich and creamy. The drinks were ready quickly.
Gave me a broken mango ice cream and would not replace . Can't comment on service because it's all Digital Touch screen. Drinks were fine but really it's China town, go anywhere else.
This was my second time stopping into Tiger Sugar. I had dropped by Chinatown to grab a couple of gachas for Christmas and all of the great smells wafting around must have got to me because I found myself really hungry. That's when I remembered that I had been wanting to go back to Tiger Sugar because that first time I only got boba. I enjoyed the drink a lot but was bummed that I didn't have the appetite for one of their cutlets during that first visit so I was looking forward to finally getting to try the huge fried chicken that continually to popped up in my feed the past couple of months. So this time around I ordered the Sweet Chili Cutlet, Fries and Drink combo with an iced black sugar boba and pearl coffee latte with cream mousse. The combo is on the expensive side at $22 but the proportions are decent. If anything I was wishing the boba was bigger. The drink was great once again and exactly what I look for in a sugar and coffee bubble tea. I was kind of torn on the cutlet though. While I appreciated the size and amount of meat it had I felt that the breading was kind of lackluster in some bites and I think I would have preferred to just have the chili sauce on the side as opposed to slathered all over. I think the chicken was definitely worth a try just to satisfy my curiosity but I do wish it had left more of an impression as far as seasoning goes. The staff are courteous but mostly focused on getting the orders out which is fine because they have multiple kiosks which make ordering pretty easy. The interior is actually pretty nice but was not exactly inviting this time around. Maybe it's better in the hot months but it definitely had grab and go vibe with all the empty space. I will definitely be back for the boba but I'll probably check out other places before I make Tiger Sugar my chicken cutlet destination.
This is a small shop, where most of the folks were having bubble tea and chicken cutlet. Both looked delicious. But I went for a couple of pastries. All pastries I had was really good. A chocolate bar with fruits on the top was my favorite.
Quick and good tiger sugar flavor. Store is clean and can be busy depending on time of day. The boba is cooked very well.
Got the Black Sugar + Red Bean Latte. Tasted really good, and price is reasonable compared to other boba places.

Tiger Sugar is one of the most consistent boba chains that I have tried around the country. They are famous for their brown sugar syrup that is added into their most popular drinks, and for good reason. You place your order at the kiosk in front and wait for your number to be called. This location offers soy milk as a non-dairy alternative, which is great. Not all TS locations do this so I can verify that this is one of the good ones. My drink was made well and just as expected. I asked for 1/2 sugar since the syrup is already very sweet, and that is truly a good call to make. Order modifications can be tricky on the kiosk. They allow you to enter a note (such as me requesting to swap out a jelly for boba in one of our drinks), but may ask to clarify with you before making the drink.
First time trying Tiger Sugar! They have two kiosks at the register area for self-ordering. They were super busy when we were there on Saturday night, so the line took a while. But once at the kiosk, ordering is easy and fast. A bunch of my friends are lactose intolerant, so they appreciated the free alternative milk option. There are a few tables within the store, but when the line gets long the place feels very crowded. The drinks are all really good! I tried the mango sago, which was loaded and delicious! It was a bit pricey, but it also comes in a default large size. I would definitely come back to try other drinks.

The new strawberry mochi drink is so good! It only comes in an XL size with sago, aloe, grass jelly, mochi, and strawberry chunks. The strawberry flavor tasted fresh and natural, and the chunks of strawberry were really flavorful. The normal brown sugar milk was also great, they started putting the brown sugar syrup on the sides of the cup again. There were a few times where they just put the brown sugar at the bottom, and while it tastes the same, it didn't have the same aesthetic. read more

Chicago gets another popular boba chain! Never a bad thing. For now, everyone walking around Chinatown will be sporting the Tiger Sugar cups, drinking out of brown-marbled cups. There is so much hype for this place. And for good reason. Boba selection in Chicago is nearing adequate. Options range from tea-based drinks to more milk-based drinks, the latter of which Tiger Sugar belongs to. It's a nice balance - the signature drink itself is quite sweet and creamy. You can really taste the brown sugar, and it compliments the cream mousse on top well. My personal favorite however, is the actual milk tea (the black tea latte with boba in particular). Call me a Loyalist: the bitterness of the tea helps to cut into the sweetness and makes the drink taste better. Regardless of your taste, however, highly recommend stopping by Tiger Sugar on your next trip to Chinatown. read more
I'm addicted to the brown sugar boba milk here! This is my go-to place if I want a brown sugar boba drink. Love the texture of the boba (very chewy) and there are different sizes to the boba too which makes it more unique. It tastes so good on it's own but if I'm feeling extra, I looove it with the pudding. It's pretty sweet and you can't modify sugar or ice level, so be warned about that. Definitely an indulgence. Waiting in a long line for food/drink usually means a good thing and this was the case here. I went for the Signature with no modifications and didn't leave disappointed. Before I grabbed my order, I was told to shake my drink and it was perfectly sweetened (and by that not cloyingly sweet). I'll definitely be back when I'm in the neighborhood. read more

Was so excited to hear about a Tiger Sugar opening in Chinatown! Ventured out this week and it was well worth it. It's only the soft opening so the full menu isn't available and the venue interior still needs work but overall, the boba makes it so worth it! We ordered on the kiosk and waited about 10 min for our drinks. Great flavor in the #1 signature drink with black sugar boba, cream mouse, and pearl milk. Wish I had gotten the XL size! Love how Chicago is getting more popular bubble tea places! I first had Tiger Sugar down in DFW and was so excited when I heard one was opening up here in Chicago. This place is right in the middle of Chinatown Square so plenty of parking available. Walking in, there are 2 kiosks where you can place your orders yourself. Service goes by quickly and I was able to pick up my drink within 5 minutes. My usual order would be the Black Sugar Boba Black Tea Latte with Cream Mousse (T5). I find their signature drink to be very sweet for my liking but I do enjoy having the mixed big and small boba with my drink! I wish they had the option of changing that whenever I order my drink. Also, make sure to shake your drink well so that the brown sugar is well incorporated into your drink! read more

I was waiting for this to open and so glad my friend told me about their soft opening! I had this in the Philippines and remember it being just as good boba wise. I got the #1 while my partner got the #2. And it was soo good. Tiger sugar is known for their brown sugar drinks and it def tops other boba shops's brown sugar. #1 was their signature brown sugar and was good. The boba was very qui qui. My partner got the #2 which had coffee jelly. The coffee jelly added more finesse to the drink aka more coffee. Both were delicious. It's no wonder why Tiger Sugar is so hyped as the best place to get brown sugar boba drinks. They were the original creators of the drink, and I love how there's no need to adjust the sweetness level of the drink, because usually boba drinks at other places are way too sweet for me, but Tiger Sugar's standard recipe is perfect - not excessively sweet at all! The mini pearls also have a great texture and was freshly cooked when I ordered my brown sugar milk drink, so that made the drink even more delicious. I would just say the price is a little high for the size of the drink, but besides that, I think Tiger Sugar has a great selection of items. Definitely want to come back and try the other menu options! read more

Drinks here are alright and the ambiance is well lit but a small small place. I really wanted to get the hello kitty boba holder but I had to purchase 2+ large drinks and ALSO buy it. So promo stuff is way more expensive to get. But the bobaristas were nice enough to explain and make our drinks quickly. read more

I ordered #3 on the menu which is the Chocolate Malt Milk with cream mousse, black sugar boba and pearl. I love the mixed sizes of boba as it gives a unique texture. There was a lot of hype with Tiger Sugar's advertising as you are hit with two large screens of former customer's review of the drinks somewhere in Asia. The menu approaches the drink with a thorough breakdown of the ingredients. Pretty methodically but definitely overwhelming. It can be difficult to make a decision, but just go with your gut intuition. Do you want pudding, chocolate malt, coffee with your otherwise brown sugar fresh milk drink? The tea flavor is pretty thin, so definitely choose an additional flavor to add more depth. I do like that the drink has a gradient of boba pearls from small to big resembling the spots on a cheetah! I really wanted to enjoy Tiger Sugar especially with all the hype I heard about it but unfortunately it just didn't hit the mark for me. You can order at the front counter or with the machine. I ordered their signature, Black Sugar Boba + Pearl Milk with Cream Mousse ($5.80). My sister ordered the Black Sugar Mochi Bobo with Cream Mousse ($6.30). I wasn't a huge fan of the texture of the topping, I didn't like their version of brown sugar (which I have tried in many boba places already). My sister really did not like hers either and ended up feeling nauseous and issues with her digestive system to which I think caused that. Service was good and the employees were kind. It just wasn't my thing and especially with so many other boba options, I don't think I'd return. However, this was just my experience! Give it a shot yourself and make your own conclusion, you may love it. read more

Suprisingly I enjoyed Tiger Sugar! I was skeptical because of the name I thought it would be overly sweet but it wasn't! Great amount of creaminess and sweetness not overpowering. It's the hot new spot! Very busy in there right now, be prepared for a short wait 10-15 minutes. No indoor seating just 2 large high top tables to wait at inside and very minimal furniture. I ordered the signature drink and it was alright. Didn't disappoint but just alright. I mean I did order a larger size but the price was around d $8 a little higher than other places around. But it was very fast, was ready less than five minutes. I remember visiting one of the stores during summer in NYC, some of the summer time limited items were really impressive. I'll suggest people to try some of the seasonal items if they offer at this location. read more
