It was thick because of the cheese foam and the flavor had a lot of depth. The mini bobas threw me off at first, but it was a good experience once I was used to it. Their boba is nice and sweet, but a little too gummy for me. Still, it was some of the better tapioca boba I've had. The interior is decorated beautifully. 3.5 stars due to the awkward environment and overpriced drinks. The drinks and boba are good. I got the number #2, and it was great. It had a combo of regular sized and mini boba. The shop smelled good. But this place just felt off overall. Plus the drinks are more expensive than the average boba shop. My sisters and I went in to order. We realized they don't have many options as they normally do in other boba shops (that's fine). But when I asked if I could change my sugar level in my drink, they said "no it's against our policy." Same thing with ice level. Then my sister ordered the mango sago drink, and asked to take out the sago and it seemed like it created a weird energy with the staff. It took them a couple of minutes to get permission from the manager to make the drink without the sago and told the other staff that "Bryan said it was okay." The other employees seemed weirded out that Bryan made this "exception" and it made my sister feel uncomfortable for even asking. For an $8 drink, I would hope that my sister can make a small modification without getting smirks and chuckles from the staff. read more

The boba itself was soft and chewy and the unique part for me was there were different sizes some smaller than others. Was suggested to try this place and I'm pleased to say that it was amazing. I got their new Strawberry Mochi Milk w/Cream and it was very flavorful. I have yet to be disappointed by anything that I have tried. The tea is the bomb, the coffee with what I think is either taro or tapioca and chocolate malt powder was scrumptious. Bubble Tea and Boba. No purchase. RIPOFF. Went to order at the kiosk and discovered a 10% tip was calculated into the price of the drink. Didn't see an option to decline but an option to increase the tip percentage instead. I walked out. The drink is expensive as it is so why would I pay someone to hand me a drink for takeout? That's not a service which warrants a tip in my opinion. TIGER SUGAR was founded in TAIWAN in 2017 with the HOLLYWOOD location opening about 2 years ago. There are 5 locations in the boroughs of NYC. This boba spot is hidden away but shouldn't be overlooked. Upon entering, the store was clean and bright, however there is no seating, possibly due to Covid. The menu is pretty limited serving only their signature drinks. I got the black sugar boba with cream mousse while my bf got the pudding milk with cream mousse. The drinks overall were pretty good. The boba was fresh and chewy. I personally thought the black sugar was too sweet although my bf thought it was the perfect amount of sweetness. My bf enjoyed his pudding and highly recommends it. The only reason why we can't give this place 5 stars is the price, each drink cost almost $6 each. I've never been to a boba tea shop so this was a fun and new experience. There was plenty of parking out front, and the store was very clean and well decorated. The staff were EXTREMELY helpful and took the time to explain all the combinations and what the different concoctions all consisted of. I ended up getting the #3 which was the black sugar boba, pearls, chocolate malt milk with cream mousse. It was great! Pro-tip: call ahead for takeout, give it 15-20 minutes. Otherwise, you'll stand there waiting for your drink, as they do work slowly. Tiger Sugar originated in Taiwan so for the longest time, my mother and I could only fly to Taiwan to have some and then only New York City and LA had a single location so that's where we would fly to to get some in the states, but now we could find it in major cities in America but we still didn't have one nearby when I lived in Tampa (I just moved to Fort Lauderdale over the weekend). So I am very excited there is a TS near me now. For those of you that don't know, Tiger Sugar is known for its brown sugar boba streaked with syrup which resembles tigers' stripes. It is pure deliciousness and I prefer it over any other boba flavors. My bf (American) described it as a caramel-ly boba drink. Wow! I think this is hands down the best boba place down here that I've tried so far. With my sister living near the Philadelphia area with their amazing chinatown, they always find out about these places before they make their way down here. The boba is delicious and with the varying sizes, you get some chewy boba in every sip. I got the Coffee Latte and it was delicious but hubbies mango sago was amazing. I only got one taste bc the boys were sharing it but our little man ended up downing pretty much the whole XL cup to himself. I ended up ordering online for pickup and had to wait a little bit when I arrived. There were others who were waiting before me but I got my drink before them so definitely put the order in advance unless you don't mind waiting. I can't wait to try the others.
