Love the space. Its in Prescott Market and its very pleasant inside. Perfect ambiance and decor and most importantly very friendly and attentive staff. Super clean and beautiful space. I know you want to poo poo on me for this - 'oh it doesn't really matter' or 'oh your so shallow' - well, I guess for you you can enjoy your beer in some blighted alley nearby. The market was a bit warm and smelly from all the cooking - but the air quality and temperature in here was perfect. I really appreciated that. Tons of beer choices. Bartender was helpful in making a decision. Its funny but a bartender also plays a bit of a role as a sales guy - and sales people help indecisive people make a decision. There is so much to choose from - it really can become a problem sometimes. Endless food options nearby - if you haven't seen the market yet... what are you waiting for?

Almanac Beer opened recently in Prescott Market Hall. They have a separate room at the back of the hall for their guests to have privacy while getting buzzed. Hip Hop music. A barrista greeted me quickly upon my entrance, informed me of the choices. It Looked confusing till I saw Pliny the Elder! Offerings (beer, drinks, snacks): light/dark, fruity/tart, hoppy, guest beers, wines, slushes. Alcohol free. Gluten free, bites., Gulps: Pliny the Elder (10) 16oz. 8%alc. DIPA -brewed by Russian River Brewery, Santa Rosa. Rated by many sources as #1 beer in America. -smooth, hoppy but not harsh. Goes great with heavy food. Superior hops and brewing techniques evident in smooth taste. 1 pint of Pliny = many buds... -beer named after the Roman author of "Naturalis Historian", a 37 volume encyclopedia. Author died while observing a volcano eruption. 4.5 stars worthy-not easy to find Pliny in markets. Not all pubs have it. Quantity: good to the last drop. Quality: Russian & Almanac uses the best hops.... *small private parking lot in back

Almanac Beer is located in Prescott Market and seems to be one of the few places in the market that serve alcohol besides Pizzeria Violetta. My wife and I stopped by Almanac Beer after grabbing pizza slices at Pizzeria Violetta. The beer menu here is huge! I feel like this is a bit blasphemous, but I actually gravitated towards the guest beers that were on the menu over Almanac's own beer. On the day that we stopped by, the guest beers included Pliny the Elder -- a double IPA by Russian River Brewing Company, and "Coffee & Cigarettes" -- a smoked coffee porter by Cellarmaker. I ultimately chose a pour of the Pliny and it was as good as any Pliny I've had elsewhere. Staff is friendly, prices are reasonable, and there's plenty of seating both inside and outside on the patio. Really nothing to complain about! I didn't see food on the menu, so you'll have to venture elsewhere in the Prescott Market to find food to go with your beer.

Stopped by Prescott Market and this is one of the venues. They have tvs, close to the outdoor area, and bar area. Everybody was nice and friendly. The empanadas were good! Small con for this cider drinker, none on tap. But they did have cans so it all worked out!

Live music Friday's, plenty of space indoor and outside, great food choices in the area, and excellent beer selection inside Prescott Market! This was our last stop of the night, but we will definitely need to head back. I love Almanac's beers, and wifey's hazy didn't disappoint. Even though they were pretty packed, there was still ample seating which was a plus.

Came here a couple of times over the past couple of months. Great spot. They had snacks like soft pretzel and hard kombucha and wine for non beer drinkers. Space inside is smaller maybe 6 big tables and barstools. Plenty of space outside during nice weather. Love the access to Prescott market. I'll be here regularly! Service is friendly.

Such a cool place in the neighborhood to grab some beer and have a great time. They have a large outdoor area and inviting indoor/bar area as well. They serve pretty big selections of beer, a bit of wine selections, slushies and ciders. The service at the bar was friendly and attentive.

I was at the area for a yelp event but it was running late so I went to the Almanac. The staff taking my order was super kind and patient with my questions as I was ordering. Very sweet young woman. She even gave my dog some treats ;) lavender magarita is non alcoholic and I liked the fragrance and taste. Honestly I chugged the flight lol but it was still good

First time here. The market hall is super accessible with plenty of parking surrounding on the street, no stair entries, ramps, and several restrooms throughout the inside. There is a cool communal area for indoor and outdoor drinking.

I came to Prescott Market not knowing what it was until I was there on a nice Friday evening. Almanac, West Oakland Clubhouse, was one of the 4-6 stores that are under the Prescott Market. The ambiance inside and outside of Prescott Market/Almanac was extremely pleasant. There was live music, kids, dogs, and all good vibes. My friends and I each got our own beer. We got a west coast IPA (delicious), a sour (Peach Bellini), and a slushy (perfect for the weather as it warms up). The staff was kind and patient with me as my very undeceive self wanted to try a DIPA and the sour I eventually got. They also offered recommendations based off of my response to the beers, which was really nice! Overall I am 100% coming back for a refreshing beer the live music! I would want to get a flight next time because I have always liked Almanac and I'm glad I discovered this nice new location. :)

Can't go wrong with great beer and a large outdoor space! I love how much seating there is with umbrellas to give you some shade if wanted. It is in Prescott Market so there are 5-6 restaurants you can order food from to enjoy with your brew. Staff were super friendly and helped me to decide which beers to try! They were constantly walking through the space to clear empty glasses as well. Will definitely be coming back!

Then, you gotta do everything yourself. Keeping in mind the pricing and you would at least think you wouldn't have to get your own water?? And God forbid you want a separate tab, becasue now your ordering for yourself through a qr code like its doordash, just to find out that the website doesn't work when trying to pay, then they have the audacity to ask for a tip on the website?? Who am I tipping if I did everything myself? Anyways, we ended up just ordering through the waiter. I know that the restaurant is like this rustic millennial burger spot where they do odd stuff but this really threw me off. On top of this, I came with an elderly and when she asked for a water the waiter pretty rudely told her that it was self serving. Maybe this is nitpicking, and maybe we just got a bad apple, but our waiter seemed very unprofessional and spoke to us like we bullied him in high school. Additionally, while ordering, damn near the whole menu was out of stock. You would think that the two dollar charge for every ingredient added on your pizza would pay for some pesto. The menu is already not that big and suddenly it was reduced to only a couple of items. I would maybe understand if we had come later, but it was 4pm. Now for the famous outdoor seating, if you REALLY want to go here, please just eat inside. Yes it was cute, but leaves and seeds were constantly falling into our hair, drinks, and food. Maybe it would've been nicer to have lids on your cups so you weren't literally drinking around Lord-knows-what in your cup. Hopefully the seeds from the trees have protein, because I know I ate some. Finally, about the actual food, I will say that it was pretty good, and it came quickly! However, a burger from in n out or a pizza from blaze pizza is around the same quality for a more reasonable price. As for the pizza, it was pretty good and able to be shared with 2-3 people. Just avoid the "spicy" fries because they are just regular fries drowing in paprika lol. Overall, there are so many other cute spots like this around so just go to one of those.

I've actually walked past this building before, back when Horn Bbq was next door, but not sure if they were able to open during the same time, as Horn had to move out a few years back. They do very little inside that warehouse-y space to decorate or give it their stamp. Totally just looks like a warehouse, whereas other breweries with a same type of industrial space like Drake's and Ghost Town have stamped their look and image. I tried a sampler here 4 brews and think they are about $2.50 per 5 oz glass, which is a generous gesture. Of the 4, I really liked 3 of them, and one was kinda weird to me. But good success ratio. Firstly, I love GT and really enjoy their beer and visiting their taprooms. Full disclosure I'm a former professional brewer so I take beer VERY seriously! I've also worked in the service industry and understand that role. I know sh*t happens and I typically extend grace but if you know craft beer like I do you know when there's a great batch of something you love, there's nothing else like it and you will DRIVE to get it. Hop profiles shift, strike temps can differ, water chemistry varies, salts do only so much so a great batch is a great batch!! My issue is simple, when I order and pay for beer online for pickup, I expect that my beer will be there at the scheduled time. This is the second occasion that this has happened at this location, thus me writing this review. I don't have to tell anyone how rough it is driving through Bay Area traffic to pick up an order in another city and finding out once you arrive that your item isn't there. In this instance the beer-tender was extremely nonchalant and almost flippant so of course I left with a level of frustration that didn't just go away. What happened to accommodations when situations like this happen, ya know a small discount on the beer that I end up buying as a replacement. Telling me my card was refunded and you tried to call me when I have no voicemail from you isn't it. Surely my inconvenience deserves some sort of nod of acknowledgment. Overall it's an experience that leaves a bad taste, an off flavor if you will! I hope no one else encounters this and that my experiences are one-offs but I personally have very little faith that what I buy from this location will actually be there upon arrival. Better to just buy it on the spot since the convenience of ordering online doesn't seem to work out!
