We came here for their taco Tuesday special. They have one of the best cheese sauce and so many options of sauces. The taco Tuesday special is two tacos, with chips, and a fountain drink. The tacos are decently sized and will fill you up. We also ordered a quesadilla on the side and I can't believe this was my first time ordering a quesadilla here- simply delicious! My order came out fast, but my boyfriend's order took a long time to come out. The manager came by our table and asked about our dining experience. Also, the employee by the cashier was very friendly when taking our order. The place is casual, and great for large parties, or a meal for a large family. Love Tijuana flats especially for the Tuesday and Thursdays deals they have!! Every store has unique murals both on the ceiling tiles and on the walls painted by local artists in the community! Tuesdays they have taco specials but Thursday they have burrito and burrito bowl specials!! I always mobile order and my order is ready by the time it says it will be when I arrive for pickup! I just ordered the blackened chicken Thursday special which came with chips and a drink for 8.99! It's almost impossible to find a lunch special around town for under $10 but at Tijuana flats it's weekly! When I called the restaurant to address the issue, the staff member I spoke named Joey, instead attempted to place blame on the customer for how my order was entered into their system, refused any form of refund, and showed sympathy or interest in resolving the issue. This place was extremely impressive as my first time to any of these hot branches! I had their new garlic shrimp tacos which were super delicious and very crunchy! Without salsa there is no flavor so you need to visit the salsa bar definitely. The girl pouring my water wasn't careful with it because it had Black particles floating inside yuck! The girls working here as staff were VERY nice people and I just loved the entire happy, colorful environment it was so pretty! I ordered the salad through the app. It gave me a 20 minute estimate so I arrived 30 minutes after ordering, since this place is ALWAYS late with orders. Not one time has my order been ready on time. That is not the case at other restaurants, but anyways.... I still had to wait about 7 minutes when I arrived. The salad was okay. I found the beef to be too salty. I really wish they had more ingredients in this salad. I also thought the shell of the salad had little flavor. I did love the citrus vinigarette dressing..it was vibrant and just tangy enough. We really enjoy this location of Tijuana Flats! I would give this location five stars, BUT the bottom line is that Tijuana Flats is certainly not "the best" Mexican food in town. However, the one thing I can say for this Tijuana Flats is that they are always consistent! Love that they offer the lighter options of whole wheat tortillas and power light (light cheese and sour cream). My go to sauce is the "Smack my Sweet Ass & Call Me Sally!" The first time I ever saw a Tijuana Flats was when I was a student at the University of Florida. I surprisingly never ate there, but imagine my surprise when I saw them again in Pembroke Pines. At that point, my friend was obsessed with the place and he dragged me to go with him. Well, it turns out that I missed out on a lot during my college years. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. The decor is funky, imaginative, and quite colorful. Every time I've gone, despite my friend being a regular, I've been greeted at the door and asked if I needed help. TALK ABOUT SERVICE. The food is always on point. My favorite is the chicken and black bean burrito with some peppers and onions with a side of chips and queso. Delicious. The girls here, too, are very nice. Update: I'll say it again: this is the best Tijuana Flats! Huge portions, super friendly staff. The guy who brought my food out to my car went out of his way to bring treats for my two dogs. So sweet! And they were really nice bbq chicken treats, my pups were very excited. And the chips weren't burnt today which left me super happy! This is the best of the south Florida T Flats locations!! I've eaten at all of them at this point haha The employees are so friendly, the food is ready on time, the restaurant and restrooms are clean. Most important: the food is awesome! My order was accurate and I received extra sauce which made me so happy. I usually drench my tacos in the Smack my Sweet Ass and Call me Sally sauce but I've been receiving just a tiny amount in my takeout order so I was stoked to get extra! I totally forgot to ask if I could buy a bottle. Guess I'll just have to come back ;) I want to point out something I've noticed at every location: the chips are all really dark and have a burnt taste. What's up with that? I've been eating at Tijuana Flats for over 10 years and the chips never used to be like this. Just curious why the cooking process seems to have changed in the past 6 months or so.
