The food is absolutely amazing. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is the best. Will gladly come back for more! We only took a picture of the margaritas. The food came out so fast we ate lol

We've been to La Reyna several times and it has been consistently good. Been here with friends, family and date night. I will say it can get expensive for a large group. We came with our family of 5 and it was pricey. Good thing the food is worth it. La Reyna is an authentic Mexican spot hidden in Countryside Shops where the Publix, Mathnasium, Club Pilates and UPS Store is located. It's nestled right next to Melting Pot. Very small and incredibly charming spot. There's a little photo opp area right outside before entering. The staff is friendly and nice. The food is consistent and delicious. The drinks are great as well. On our most recent visit, we went on a Saturday during brunch. Literally caught the tail end of brunch before it ended at 2pm. They now offer brunch on Saturdays and Sundays at 12-2pm. A small window but I'm all about brunch so I would work around this. Lol. We went with another family. Nairet was our server and she was absolutely wonderful. Very friendly, patient and accommodating. For food and drinks, we ordered the following: * Chilaquiles with Green Sauce * Mexican Mixed Ceviche (Mahi Mahi and Shrimp) * Tampiquena Steak * Kids Quesadilla * Tamarind Margarita Everything we ordered was yummy and presentation was on point. Ceviche was literally perfection. Served with large fried tortillas, crackers and hot sauce. Chilaquiles were so good as well. Eggs ordered over easy wand still perfectly runny. Kids enjoyed their food as well. Steak cooked at the perfect temp of medium rare. I will say, even their refried black beans were so dang good, it was smooth and creamy and had great flavor. Ate the black beans with the rice. During previous visits, we've had a few different items listed: * Carne Asada Tacos * Chips & Salsa * Villamelon Tacos * Shrimp & Mahi Mahi Molcajete * Fajitas * Burrito * Micheladas The Chips & Salsa was served with their house red and green sauce which was so good. The Carne Asada was tasty. Unfortunately the Villamelon Tacos weren't as good as we hoped, the steak was overcooked and way too chewy to consume and we had to send it back. The chorizo and pork crackling was a nice touch. Micheladas were bomb. The fajitas were so fresh and on point. My kid loved their burrito. The best and most memorable dish we've had here is definitely the Shrimp & Mahi Mahi Molcajete! It's pricey at $35.99 but the portion is massive and the generous portion of jumbo shrimp and Mahi Mahi make it totally worth it, so much amazing flavor in this dish! Get it!!! Consistent and authentic Mexican food. The vibe is so charming and cute. Service is great. Cannot go wrong here if you're craving Mexican!

The food here is exceptional. We've been three times and each time it is a 5 out of 5 experience. They have unique drinks, authentic dishes, and the absolute best mahi tacos you will ever have. If you want real food, this is the place. The decor is super cool. The whole place is a vibe. The servers are always communicative and very attentive. I highly recommend!!

My husband and I came here for lunch. It's a cute and quaint spot in Cooper City. We were seated right away. The service was great and the quality of food was really good. The pricing was a bit high but overall we had a great experience.

I had heard about this place for years and finally went yesterday. It was lunchtime and we were the first customers. It got fairly busy which is a good sign. Now I am one of those who usually prefers American style Mexican food to authentic Mexican food. It is just what I am used to. But I wanted to try this place. Our server brought over chips and 3 salsas to start. We did not even ask. The chips were flavorful and not too salty. Two salsas were a little spicy and one was sort of more subdued. None were that thrilling to me yet I could eat them all. I ordered a chicken burrito. This was pretty tasty. The ingredients tasted very fresh. It was also very filling. My meal came with chips and guacamole and some had melted cheese on them. I did not think the guacamole was too good. It did not have enough flavor for me. The melted cheese was pretty flavorful. Our server was very kind. I really liked the way the restaurant was decorated. It is a nice place that is near where I live so it is convenient.

We arrived for a very late lunch around 3 pm and were the only couple at the restaurant so service was amazing - I did like that the entrance to the restaurant is on the side... they made such a very cute "special entry" that added color and fun to the experience. This was our first time here. We wanted tacos (taco Tuesday) but having rear the reviews decided to go with other options. So... I got the elote (corn on the cob) and it was delicious! The entire corn is covered in the white cheese sauce and is tangy and a little bit hot- enough to make it flavorful . Very delicious. I had to share . Then we each got an entree: I got a meat burrito that was very filling: could only have half, so I'll have leftovers (yay!) and he got the chicken flautas... these were delicious in flavor but the chicken filling was dry inside, so we ordered some red sauce to fix this however they charged us for a side of sauce. Another thing to note is that you do have to order the chips and 3 sauces as they are a considered an appetizer. They do come with 2 sauces other than the salsa, that were very yummy. I ordered the dessert (churros) to go because I was very full. Good stuff here! Enjoy!

I was greeted immediately and was seated at the smaller table next to their decorated tree. I sipped on their watermelon margarita rimmed with Tajin while enjoying the decorations around me. I ordered shrimp tacos and they smelled heavenly before devouring them. I got full quick! You get 3 tacos per order and I picked the shrimp ones. Camila took care of me. She was very attentive and very quick.

Let's start off with the cutest whimsical tree in the heart of this restaurant, it makes such a cute center piece. Great little hole in the wall Mexican food in broward. Great for the locals away from the ft lauderdale craziness. The food was hit or miss for a few items. We definitely loved the steak tacos and green chili enchiladas but the chicken tacos were very dry. On a high note, the margaritas are massive and delicious!!! Due to being so little and packed service took a little longer than we'd like but it's ok. Support small business always!

Great local spot with cute decor! Food is great, just a bit pricey for what it is. Margaritas are nice but again on the pricier side for such a casual spot. Overall would come back for the food, specially the queso fundido! Servers were also very helpful

Eh, conflicted feelings. Tasty food, albeit expensive. They also don't offer complimentary chips and salsa. Honestly that last bit is admittedly whatever to me, as I'm often complaining that whatever complimentary food they serve you has the sole purpose of filling you up. That said, I showed up at La Reyna with a massive craving for tacos and they delivered. Delicious carne asada tacos (4 for $16 give or take). They also gave me a jalapeño sauce that was divine and made the difference. The meat in my tacos was a tad dry for my liking, but the sauce fixed the issue. I kind of wish I had ordered more food, but I just couldn't justify spending more money. This seems like the type of place that they want you to eat an entire meal to walk out full. Again, no chips and salsa, and while I had my tacos, they weren't as stuffed as other places. If you then look at the menu, almost everything is around $10+. I also wish they offered more individual appetizers. It seems the majority of the appetizers are meant to be shared. I saw queso fundido on there, guacamole too. I didn't see elote or tamales though, which are traditional staples of Mexican cuisine. They did have a pretty full list of margaritas and other cocktails however. If I had felt like a margarita, that's probably the one other thing I'd have ordered. They looked great. I'd recommend this restaurant for a date night or even a reunion with friends. I don't think this is the type of place you go to as a solo diner. I spent $20+ on tacos, tax, and tip, and meh - I just think this is too much for the amount of food given. On the plus side, the service is very attentive, and the restaurant is quite festively decorated, so there's that.

Watch out for their shady double tipping scam....

First, we tried to order their fried cheese appetizer and were told they were out. Then, when we tried to order the steak tacos with chicharrón, again we were told they were out of chicharrón. When we tried to sub out that taco for a mahi taco they said they couldn't do that, but they could add extra steak... your would think that after two things being unavailable they would try accommodate for their shortcomings! And lastly, the real kicker, they hand us a bill WITH 18% GRATUITY ALREADY INCLUDED!!! Their reasoning, you ask... FOR A LARGE PARTY OF 1 -6 GUESTS!!!!! I am not kidding. Since when is a party of ONE considered a large party?!?!? OH!! And wait, there's more... if you use the QR code to pay... THEY CHANGE THE 18% TO A SERVICE CHARGE AND ASK YOU FOR MORE GRATUITY!!!!!!! THEY TRY TO PULL A FAST ONE ON THOSE NOT PAYING ATTENTION... DOUBLE TIPPING!!! I wasn't going to write a review, but I haven't stopped thinking about our experience yesterday and so here we are. Just so wrong on all levels. Shame on you La Reyna.

We were a medium sized group of 10, so while some arrived, some had already ordered drinks. We finally each got our drinks, and the ordering process begun- which was equally confusing, but we got it done. I mean the restaurant was not full, so it was unexpected that this would have been a bit confusing. Getting the dishes ordered to the correct person who ordered was also haphazard- lol. But the food was good. I ordered the shrimp with chimichurri and it tasted very well: the shrimp were very tasty and the chimichurri flavor came through very well, even if it didn't look like there was any chimichurri on it!! It was very yummy. On the other hand, ! I did not like that my martini was served in what looked like a whiskey glass- instead of a cool martini glass, but it tasted okay. Anyway: our group had plenty of time for some great conversation once we had finished eating since billing took so long! ;) So finally paying time came around, and then we were informed that they could not do individual checks. While this is not the only restaurant that cannot split bills by order, it was inconvenient. They did inform us that they could do 5 checks, so we had to figure it out... I did not have cash, and so I had to team up with one other lady to pay for her and she had to come up with the cash for her order and give that to me. This was not a good ending. Even at teaming up, so getting 5 checked for the table, it took a long while to get our checks. Again: the restaurant was maybe at 30% capacity, the bar area was deserted... I would hate to be here when full! So all in all the food was good, the service was polite but scattered, and the billing was very slow. Enjoy!
