The food was correct but overpriced for what you get. Service just awful. Details…read more I ordered pasta dish, my wife's salad. Fifteen minutes later, the server came out and said pasta isn't available for lunch. I asked if they had any non alcoholic beer. Ten minutes later the server brought me a Bud zero. Which I didn't order. I had just asked initially IF they had any. Bid zero is a sucky drink (Fetch in nearby Whitehall makes a very nice n a beer). I sent it back. Then ordered a salad with the ahi tuna. Several minutes later we got water. My wife's salad came first of course. 15 minutes later mine did. We had to ask for water refill. Then the bill came and it still had the Bud zero on it. I had to wish ten minutes to snag the server to get the bill taken care of. The server was apparently new. That's fine. We had a new server at The Deck in Muskegon the other night, but she said so right away, and was excellent. It did appear that some of the other servers were more attentive. And I note other reviews are 4-5 stars. But I have to write a re iré based on the experience that we had, which was sub par, and we would not return.

Wait staff was no where to be seen. I dropped cash on the table for drinks. Hosted thanked us for coming in, I told her we were leaving since we never got our food. What a disastrous experience. I would never recommend going here. Ended up at House of Flavors before heading back to GR. Pentwater is a cute little community of fun shops. Sad to say we'll plan to eat elsewhere if we ever go back.

The Little Fleet is by far the best solution we've found for our meals downtown. There's always something for everyone and the options are ever-changing so we don't get sick of it. It's also a great place for drink later in the evening. I will always recommend this spot to those visiting the area for the first time and it's a crowd pleaser. Most recently, I got the salt and pepper squid from their year round collaborator, Crocodile Palace and I was impressed and surprised. The salt and pepper seasoning, which you can also get on chicken wings, was sour, peppery, and numbing but not truly spicy. It was a very new taste for me but I absolutely loved it!

Unfortunately, the bartender, Jason, and one of the younger staff members began harassing me and telling me I needed to leave simply because I was holding my fishing pole. I remained patient and respectfully asked him to get a manager to speak with me, especially since I used to work for one of the food trucks there and had never experienced any issues before. Despite this, the harassment continued. Later, I returned with my family, a party of 20, and while I was inside, Jason and another woman with dreadlocks began making disrespectful comments and attempting to taunt me. Their behavior was extremely immature, unprofessional, and upsetting.

It's kind of tucked into a corner lot so it's easy to miss if you're not looking for it. Trader Nick's has a wide variety of rum Tiki drinks. I'm not much of a rum drinker, but the owner ran through my drink options without my needing to ask - including a couple of vodka, gin, and Bourbon drinks on the menu. I had a Bourbon Sling and it was very tasty. My drink - with a pretty hefty tip - was around $12 - pretty reasonable, in my opinion. The owner is so nice and helpful! He checked in on our group a few times, and thanked us for visiting more than once as we left. He seemed genuinely interested in whether we had a good experience. One of the two resident dogs was cute, but he didn't seem to like me very much. I got a little growl and bark - yikes. The only thing I think could be improved is the addition of food, or at least some snacks. Especially since most of the drinks are liquor based, it would be helpful to have some food with the drinks.

If that doesn't make you feel at home I'm not sure what will. Nick knows Rum. Let me say this again. Nick knows Rum. He will make you a cocktail that's perfect and delicious and tell you its story. Yes. This is a tiki bar. So there are sweet options, but if that's not your thing tell your barkeep. They know what cocktails to make you. Did I mention how adorable this bar is? They have an impeccable tiki glass collection. Lots of local wood art work and all the tiki vibes. You can have a beer too if you are not in the cocktail mood. They even bring a Hawaiian beer to the list. If you want high class cocktails that don't have all the hoity toity, but all the flavor then get in here. Some nights they have live music too. Are you ready to feel connected to your local community?
