Checked out this place I've been meaning to try. Plenty of free parking in the Kroger parking lot. We came for dinner on a Thursday and were seated promptly. We ordered crab Rangoons to start (not pictured). It is hard to get that wrong! It was good and a staple. My mom ordered the tiki thai fried rice which is basically just a seafood fried rice with mussels, shrimps, etc. She asked for it very spice and the kitchen delivered! It was spicy but not over bearing. We actually ended up splitting it, it was so good! I ordered the ginger fish which was decent. Not my favorite fish dish, I wasn't the biggest fan of the sauce I felt like it was missing something. Maybe a hint of sweetness? Not sure. BUT it was still good nonetheless. If you're a ginger fan I think you'd like this. Overall, I was surprised at the ambiance of the place given its location. The food was brought out promptly and our service was great. Y'all Tiki Thai restaurant on Howell Mill has the best bartender/host in the area. JUSTIN is amazing. Today my daughter, my sister and I came in Tiki Thai just to wait for some of the traffic to subside. Now, this is my second time here. And that too was and awesome experience. Today Justin made our experience a fun and exciting day. He was hospitable and they way he interact with the customers was great. Along with Harrison and Sophia we had the best time today her at Tiki Thai. We not only enjoyed the drinks at Tiki Thai the food was mouthwatering. I had the starter Ruby Mussels and the Shrimp Tom Yum. Delicious...My daughter had the Seafood Pasta. And again Delicious my sister had the chicken General Tso. The flavors on that chicken was exceptional. All in all I highly recommend you come and try them out. They take reservations for large parties or just for a date night. There is nothing I hate more than getting the bill and there being a surprise charge on there. Today there was automatic gratuity added to my bill. If it's automatic it isn't gratuity. You need to just raise your prices if it's required or state this anywhere. I can understand it for large parties but I was a single diner for lunch. The automatic gratuity was 18% which is less than I normally tip so I did end up tipping more. So the end result was about the same as if they left it off but it still really bothers me. The food itself was good. The place looks nice too. They did only have one person working the front which included making drinks, sitting diners, and serving. So it was a very long wait especially for a lunch. So overall it was not a great experience and I would not return. read more

This place is a hidden gym. Despite it being in a a strip mall with Kroger and a few other stores, the placement is highly deceiving. The decor is Asian inspired. It is dark, with a club type vibe. It is not a big Restaurant at all. It seats roughly 60 people and it is good for events. The environment is very intimate. The service was great. The food was on a different level. The plating is extremely creative. The presentation was good and the food came out pretty fast. I got the Tiki fried rice. It had mussels that were very flavored and rather large. The calamari was good and the shrimp was really good with the tail on. I would come back here. I actually plan on trying everything on the menu! Good for a date night! They play music as well. Only reason I didn't give it a 5 stars is because I feel like the portions were a little small for the price. However, that doesn't change the fact that the food was great. read more

It consists of Silver Tequila, Watermelon juice, Orange liquor, fresh lime juice, Pomegranate syrup, top with bubbles. This was great! Now to the star of the show, the turkey leg WAS SOOOOOOO GOOD! You see this water just like me so why would you seat me here?? The food wasn't the worst, or the best. Got a recommendation from the waitress for the beef dish and I sent it back. The meat was really fatty and mushy. Switched to sushi and it was just okay. My sis had the pad thai I think and as a pad thai connoisseur she wasn't a fan. One positive was our waitress. It's so great to go to a restaurant and actually not have to pay for a car that you park yourself!! As soon as I entered I was greater by the hostess. Beautifully decorated. Bright red walls and dragon decor. Very sexy and elegant vibe. Restaurant is not that large very intimate feeling. The event was held in the middle of the room but restaurant did a great job with the set up. Had a professional DJ. Music was great not to loud so you could still carry on conversations . Nathan thee an axing bartender was great. Had amazing recommendations and also extremely knowledgeable and gave tips on the drinks and ingredients. Drink he recommended was delicious. Enjoyed Tiki Thai for a bday weekend late dinner. Initially recommend by my cousin who dined there earlier this year, I was pleased to discover that the restaurant opened until 10 PM on a Sunday. Location in a shopping plaza which allowed for plenty of free parking. Seated promptly although reservations may be necessary on busier days. Lily introduced herself as our server and answered our questions regarding menu items. We ordered the Brussel sprouts, which came with ginger and goat cheese and the Shrimp Tom - Yum soup with Thai lemongrass, mushroom and cilantro for appetizers. The Brussel sprouts had a glaze infused with the ginger and was delicious. The Tom - Yum soup was good for the colder, rainy weather but a bit underwhelming in comparison to other versions I had previously. For our main course my plant based companion ordered the Pad - Thai: Thai noodle, shrimp and chicken, scallion, bean sprouts, roasted peanuts, with house-special pad-thai sauce with Thai hot spice level. Lily attempted to warn of the heat level to no avail. He loved his selections and noted to order with noodles versus rice in future. I chose the Red Sea Tiki Thai special roll. It included Spicy Tuna, Avocado & cucumber inside with Salmon, Yellowtail & Thai Chili on top. Requested brown rice in my roll but unfortunately must add Tiki Thai to my list of places that refuse to offer sushi rolls with brown rice. The roll overall was tasty with a slight Thai chili kick, which as noted in advance. The desserts included red velvet or chocolate cake. Not a fan of chocolate, so opted out. The drink offerings were decent and also boasted a well stocked bar with several statues of varying sizes. The front entry also had several items including a miniature Yoda. My favorite was the bar warriors! The Seascape Inside: Shrimp Tempura, Avacado, Cucumber & Top: Scallop & Black Tobiko and the Crab Rangoon to go. The recipient spoke highly of both. Would return due to proximity to my home and good service. Pricing was decent for substantial amount of food. Also dinner entrees seemed to be appetizing, but menu visibility was low due to very dim lighting. That coupled with elevated music made ordering a slight challenge. This is a really cool spot in a very unassuming location (in the shopping center with Kroger). So it's great for all of us who live nearby and don't have to go far for good food and a fun experience. The vibe in here is VERY different from when this was Chin Chin before. They redecorated in a really swanky way, and the electronic music was pretty loud when we went at like 6 on a Friday night. It was definitely filling up by the time we left, but there were plenty of seats available since we were there early. We had a shrimp tempura roll for an appetizer, which was fine and hit the spot. I had the Pad Thai, and it had a different flavor than I was expecting (maybe tomato in the sauce?), but it was good, and had fresh sprouts, herbs, and crushed peanuts, plus 4 shrimp and some thinly sliced chicken. My husband had a seafood soup, which was served in a small pot on top of a flame. The presentation of everything was really beautiful. Pad Thai is one of my favorites. Now this restaurant ranks as high as my top three dishes. We also had the crab Rangoon. Chicken skewers and green beans. Each dish rivaling the previous. The drinks were innovative, tasty, and strong concoctions writing I would come here over and over again.
