Tikka Indian Grill has served consistent quality of food for years. I originally tried them in queens and the one in Brooklyn did not disappoint. The service was kind and attentive, a little humorous too. The waiter said thank you a lot, which made us giggle involuntarily. Samosa chaat was divine! Really hitting all the tastes: sweet, tangy, spicy, warm Portion was enough to share Chicken Saag Tikka : this dish was lovely. Despite the chicken being shrouded by the saag it was the star of the dish. The chicken tasted freshly prepared and tender! Naan was as expected, fresh and fluffy. Love this gem. A BOGO order of Chicken Kadai was absolutely delicious. I continue to patronize this place and sing its praises. Since my first review, we've ordered here several times more. The portions were generous. Rice included with all entrees as well as the three delicious chutneys: onion, coriander and tamarind. These were teeny tiny portions though. Think of the condiment cups for ketchup or mustard. The chicken was perfectly cooked with chunky pieces of peppers and onions. Smothered with spices such as cumin and cardamon, we ordered mild but it was still quite spicy. Keep that in mind. Again, I devoured every bite until there was nothing left. So so good. Tikka Indian Grill in Brooklyn tonight. Many great reviews online and some not so great. I decided to give it a try. Also, it was late so I did a takeout/pickup order. Compared to Manhattan's Indian restaurants, I've yet to find a really great Indian restaurant in this part of Brooklyn. Across the river, there are tons of great Indian restaurants that offer high quality authentic food. (Brooklyn has a few too.) Tikka Grill offers good Indian but the rice portion was small for a full price dinner meal. Also, the rice was packaged in a small plastic container. After trying some, I noticed that the rice had an odd taste. I ended up tossing it out & using some of my own stuff at home. Packaging is important. Many restaurants deliver their food in aluminum containers with a plastic lid. If you research this topic, there's been much discussion over the health safety implications related to the use of aluminum containers as well as the advantages & disadvantages of using aluminum vs plastic. If you're curious, suggest looking into it - it makes for an interesting read. Back to the food now... Chicken Tikka Masala and plain nan - my main meal was good. Very mild creamy sauce. Fluffy nan bread. Overall the food was fine, except for the rice. Maybe it was just a bad batch. May try again on a different day. read more

This is a quiet high class restuarant with sublime, beautifully presented food. I have never had a better samosa I was there for a two course lunch (only 14.95) and sat in the roof garden surrounded by bright yellow flowers. Kam, my server, was warm, polite, informative, always helpful and with a lovely smile. He explained the dishes and the little extras that came with them. He was very attentive, but not overly so. Ordered takeout from this place so I can't speak for the service or ambience but the food is delicious! The chicken chop with lemon rice is so damn good. The chicken is so juicy and flavored with five spices. The lemon rice has the perfect hint of tartness to cut the richness of the chicken. The yellow daal tadka was good but I've had better. I think a particular spice was overpowering all the other flavors but I can't pinpoint the spice. Maybe too much cardamom? A delicious and fun time at tikka Marsala on 5th Ave near between 6th and 7th street - place was empty this Wednesday evening we decided to check it out! Our meal was delicious and you can bring your own wine! Even though it was empty they do a brisk take out business - we loved our meals and the large screen television played Bollywood videos! We really enjoyed them and our waiter Mohammed took great care of us and even educated us a bit about Bollywood ! My partner had a spicy shrimp dish and I had vegetable soup and pepper chicken - we asked for mildly spiced - and for dessert we had an Indian version of rice pudding that tasted like so much delicious fresh lemon in it! Every once in a while, the crap show that is 2020 tosses me some pleasant surprises to underscore the existence of silver linings. Tikka Indian Grill (a.k.a. my delivery savior) is one of those rare and wonderful treasures. It's become my favorite Indian restaurant in the area, and maybe even in general. The food has some actual spice; just enough for me to enjoy the burn without showing off how much of a spice wimp I actually am in the grand scheme of things. I'm basic, so my go-to is saag paneer, and their version tastes so fresh and flavorful. Another must-order is the samosa chaat, which is a total flavor and texture bomb: it's the perfect blend of savory, sweet, and tart, and mashed up yet slightly crunchy samosas. Their butter chicken is great, I enjoyed their black pepper chicken (it's a little spicier than I'd like but quite good), along with the methi mattar paneer, which had a deep onion-y flavor. The pumpkin kala chana is a very flavorful and light vegan dish. The chicken tikka masala isn't quite as rich and tomato-y as I'd like, but it's still tasty. If you're craving a base besides rice, get the naan and/or paratha. The achar (mixed pickles) is really tangy and zingy if that's your kind of thing. I'd skip the kheer (rice pudding). It had an odd aftertaste that I didn't really enjoy. Tikka Indian Grill is a little pricier than your usual casual Indian restaurant, but I think it's totally worth it for the quality of their food. read more

Loved it! Was walking by in the neighborhood hungry and decided to give it a try here. We came during lunch, sadly the tandoor oven wasn't working so wasn't able to try any Naan or other tandoori items. But the food we did have was excellent. Oh boy do they know there spice. We asked for the lamb and chicken vindaloo extra spicy, they didn't hold back! Rarely does a vindaloo pack a punch even though always advertised as "spicy". The biryani was flavorful as well and the Mango lassi was probably one of the best ones I've had in recent years. I'll definitely be back to try some other items! read more

We ordered food for my bestie here just as the world was slowly starting to reopen from its covid lockdown. We entered with masks, placed the order and waited outside for about twenty minutes. Fresh food yaaaaaay! It was also nice perusing this busy shopping and restaurant street while we waited. Tikka was clean. Staff was pleasant and appreciative for our business. So good! I've eaten a substantial amount of chicken tikka masalas and this one hit DIFFERENT. So creamy and delicious with large portions! The garlic naan was my only caveat it wasn't buttery and garlicky enough for my liking. Otherwise the food was great! read more

I can't believe I never noticed this little gem in Brooklyn. I always eat on that block but never saw this place until I noticed the view of the backyard. But I'm glad it did since I've never seen this dish in an American restaurant before. Pretty tasty too. We had some sterotypical Indian dishes as well which were, granted, also tasty. But the chicken chop (think a deboned chicken leg, battered and fried, usually with a sauce or gravy) is what I remember most. So strange they have it on the menu. read more

And Tikka Indian has some of the BEST I've eaten in my life. It's the closest to the ones I've had in India. Great lamb korma and chennai lamb, excellent chicken tikka masala, perfect methi mattar paneer. Just an fyi that all has an underlying heat that we love but are a bit of a stretch for the littles, so if this is a concern, korma would be your best bet. Delivery is swift and prices are reasonable as compared to other Indian restaurants. Order directly for better pricing. So happy to be able to recommend this terrific option for at home dining. Just ordered delivery from this place for the second time and it was even better than the first! First off, I love the fact that their vegan items are clearly marked on the menu. I hate calling and quizzing places about their menu items and asking what's vegan, so I am much more likely to order from a place that has vegan stuff listed. I ordered directly from their website this time, they were smart enough to include a post card in my last order with a discount code if you order from their website. Done and done. I should be doing that over using Seamless anyway. My food came much quicker than expected and it was still hot and absolutely DELICIOUS! I was so excited about the samosas I forgot to take a pic, but they were still crisp when they got here, which is not always the case with Indian delivery food. I followed that with the Tofu Mushroom Jalfrezi which was absolutely outstanding. I usually default to chana masala (which is what I got last time: also delicious) so it was nice to branch out for something different this time. I'm officially in love with this place. Quality: I was not excited about any element of my order from Tikka Indian Grill. I started with the Aloo Gobi Samosa, which were borderline soggy, not the crispy bite you hope for. The sauces that came with it were good, but could not help the texture of the appetizer. The Chicken Tikka Masala was light on chicken and shockingly bland. I know it is a boring order, and one that often does not showcase the passion of the restaurant, but this was something I have had better in a frozen meal. Quantity: The quantity did not match the high prices. Value: $7 for Aloo Gobi Samosa. $21 for the Chicken Tikka Masala with Garlic Naan. Ambiance: Tikka Indian Grill is located in the Park Slope area of Brooklyn. It has a small and simple indoor space, which is dominated by a large mural. However, even though they do table service, there was a distinct vibe that it is really meant as take-out only. Crowd: A table covered in take-out orders, but no one eating in. I had a (vegan)cauliflower and potato dish which was flavorless. The texture of the vegetables was less than desirable, and it seemed like the potatoes had been sitting around or soaking in water too long,since they were on the mealy side. The best part of the meal was the basmati rice which was nicely flavored and had a lovely aroma of cardaman. I love indian food for the rich layering of flavors and spices, but this was not it . I am hoping I just hit an off day for the kitchen, and will give it another try with a different dish another time. Maybe I just ordered a "lemon". It wasn't my first choice but you could feel his emotions from the review and I felt really moved by it so I figured it would be a safe choice to go with it . Turns out, it was just ok in my book . So this review is a mix of eveything all together. First off your website is very beautiful and easy to use. It has great photos of the items and makes you want to buy everything. You should add a spicy button to the spicy dishes or make it more clear what is spicy. What we order we had to stop after a few bites due to the spicy level and start eating yogurt. Next I love the idea of curbside but once I got there and called the young man said I had to come in. I was a little confused about that option being on your site. Well I went in and he was just sitting chilling, no one was inside so I didn't understand why the curbside couldn't happen. For 5.5 years, I've been without a reliably good Indian delivery restaurant. Felt like i was swimming in a sea of bland curries that could pass as tomato soup. Thankfully, a life vest has been thrown my way. From a delivery standpoint only, portion size, order time, and quality are excellent. Have not dined in this location yet, but I'm not trying to compare it to white napkin Indian restaurants either...not a useful comparison. However, the chicken tikka masala has texture and flavor that I haven't found anywhere else. The saag paneer is near perfect with a little heat to make it authentic. Even the condiments were top notch--especially the onions. We shared chicken saag tikka, black pepper chicken, and Bhindi Jaipuri. Super small and expensive portions! At other local Indian restaurants, the same amount of food costs half! I requested "less oil" and my food was drowning in oil. Had to scrap a layer off with a spoon. I requested "more spicy" and the food was bland. Other local Indian restaurants at least add a few potatoes and vegetables to sauce-based meals. This was kind of like ketchup mixed with Chillis and topped with oil. The basmati rice is lacking in vision and flavor. Other Indian places in this neighborhood liven up their basmati rice with tasty spice or attractive garnish. The one thing this place does not skimp on is bland rice -- they are happy to fill you up with bland rice of lesser quality that you can buy from Key Food. When ordering delivery/take out, the chutneys are in microsized containers. Tikka Grill is a miserly operation trying to sucker us into eating "authentic" Indian food.
